- Kao da ne znaju protiv koga igraju – čuli su se komentari na tribinama. Nevjerojatno hrabro izgledala je Futsal Pula protiv Sportinga. Usprkos porazu (3:5), ostavili su Puležani sjajan dojam. Agresivno, bez respekta, možemo kazati i sportski drsko. Nisu marili što je na drugoj strani dvostruki osvajač Lige prvaka. A uspjeli su ono što mnogi nisu. Zabili su Sportingu. I to tri puta!

A sva tri pogotka djelo su Davida Mataje. Pretvorio se 25-godišnjak u junaka prvog dana. Zabiti portugalskoj „all-star” momčad „hattrick” podvig je kojim se ne može podičiti baš svatko. Mataja je, prije svega, odigrao – kapetanski! S pozicije pivota pritiskao je zadnju liniju Sportinga. Nije im dao mira, ni prilike da mirno iznose loptu i grade napade.

Na muke je tako stavio Merlima koji je imao poteškoća u organizaciji igre. Učinio je Mataja sve što je bilo potrebno. Nakon početnog vodstva Sportinga, odgovorio je na najbolji mogući način. Nisu potonuli i raspali se. Baš suprotno, uzvratili su istom mjerom! Sijevnuo je kontranapad samo tri minute nakon gola Tomasa Paca. Mataja je loptu znalački primirio prsima, okrenuo se, izbacio braniča, a onda svom snagom potegnuo i zakucao loptu u mrežu pored nemoćnog Guitte.

Izazvalo je to trans na dijelu tribine s pedesetak navijača Pule. Nažalost po njih, nepotrebno isključenje Bilića i u najmanju ruku dvojben pogodak Sportinga za 2:1, zakomplicirali su situaciju. Ali ni tu se Puležani nisu predali. Odbijali su popustiti pred naletima Sportinga. Štoviše, hrabro su krenuli u napad u 17. minuti i iznudili šesterac.

Kapetan Mataja uzeo je loptu u ruke i namjestio je na crtu. Po govoru tijela bilo je jasno kako je samo jedan scenarij moguć. Neobranjivo je „rasparao” mrežu Guitte. Lopta je odsjela u gornji desni kut portugalskog vratara koji je to mogao samo ispratiti pogledom.

Sporting je opet poveo, a Pula opet uzvratila. I to u istoj minuti (32.)! Cavinato je pogodio za 3:2, a za poravnanje, pogađate, opet Mataja. Lijepu su kombinaciju izradili Puležani. Našao se Mataja sam na drugoj stativi i poslao loptu u nebranjenu mrežu za novo izjednačenje.

Raširio je ruke i stao pred svoje navijače. Uživao je u trenutku, s potpunim pravom. Hej, čovjek je zabio „hattrick” Sportingu!

- Igrali smo protiv jednog od najvećih klubova na svijetu. Odigrali smo vrlo dobru utakmicu. Misliš da si im blizu, a nikako da ih stigneš. Malo smo i sami sebe iznenadili koliko smo izgledali dobro. Mladi smo i neiskusni, samo je par igrača već igralo Ligu prvaka. Ali vidjeli smo da možemo – govorio je Mataja poslije prvog susreta.

Mataja je svoju futsal karijeru započeo u momčadi Potpićana 2015. godine. Dobrim igrama zaslužio je poziv u mladu reprezentaciju. Dvije godine kasnije pojačao je redove slovenskog Bronx Škofija. Veliki trag ostavio je nastupajući za Uspinjaču Gimku s kojom je osvojio dva Kupa Hrvatske. Za to vrijeme postao je i seniorski reprezentativac.

Kao veliko pojačanje Futsal Pule stigao je prošle godine nakon što je raskinuo ugovor s bosanskohercegovačkim prvakom Salinesom. Kroz 2. HMNL zapad, Futsal Pula se ekspresno probila do elitnog razreda hrvatskog futsala. A već u premijernoj sezoni izborili su finale prvenstva. Nastavili su Puležani rasti. Roster je dodatno osnažen prekaljenim futsal majstorom Igorom Osredkarom.

Da ni ove sezone ambicije neće biti išta manje, pokazali su već na otvaranju sezone. Osvojili su Superkup u Makarskoj pobijedivši u finalu Novo Vrijeme. Tri gola Sportingu samo su još jedan dokaz da se u Puli igra itekako ozbiljan futsal, spreman stati uz bok Dalmatincima.

- Kao da ne znaju protiv koga igraju – čuli su se komentari na tribinama. Nevjerojatno hrabro izgledala je Futsal Pula protiv Sportinga. Usprkos porazu (3:5), ostavili su Puležani sjajan dojam. Agresivno, bez respekta, možemo kazati i sportski drsko. Nisu marili što je na drugoj strani dvostruki osvajač Lige prvaka. A uspjeli su ono što mnogi nisu. Zabili su Sportingu. I to tri puta!

A sva tri pogotka djelo su Davida Mataje. Pretvorio se 25-godišnjak u junaka prvog dana. Zabiti portugalskoj „all-star” momčad „hattrick” podvig je kojim se ne može podičiti baš svatko. Mataja je, prije svega, odigrao – kapetanski! S pozicije pivota pritiskao je zadnju liniju Sportinga. Nije im dao mira, ni prilike da mirno iznose loptu i grade napade.

Na muke je tako stavio Merlima koji je imao poteškoća u organizaciji igre. Učinio je Mataja sve što je bilo potrebno. Nakon početnog vodstva Sportinga, odgovorio je na najbolji mogući način. Nisu potonuli i raspali se. Baš suprotno, uzvratili su istom mjerom! Sijevnuo je kontranapad samo tri minute nakon gola Tomasa Paca. Mataja je loptu znalački primirio prsima, okrenuo se, izbacio braniča, a onda svom snagom potegnuo i zakucao loptu u mrežu pored nemoćnog Guitte.

Izazvalo je to trans na dijelu tribine s pedesetak navijača Pule. Nažalost po njih, nepotrebno isključenje Bilića i u najmanju ruku dvojben pogodak Sportinga za 2:1, zakomplicirali su situaciju. Ali ni tu se Puležani nisu predali. Odbijali su popustiti pred naletima Sportinga. Štoviše, hrabro su krenuli u napad u 17. minuti i iznudili šesterac.

Kapetan Mataja uzeo je loptu u ruke i namjestio je na crtu. Po govoru tijela bilo je jasno kako je samo jedan scenarij moguć. Neobranjivo je „rasparao” mrežu Guitte. Lopta je odsjela u gornji desni kut portugalskog vratara koji je to mogao samo ispratiti pogledom.

Sporting je opet poveo, a Pula opet uzvratila. I to u istoj minuti (32.)! Cavinato je pogodio za 3:2, a za poravnanje, pogađate, opet Mataja. Lijepu su kombinaciju izradili Puležani. Našao se Mataja sam na drugoj stativi i poslao loptu u nebranjenu mrežu za novo izjednačenje.

Raširio je ruke i stao pred svoje navijače. Uživao je u trenutku, s potpunim pravom. Hej, čovjek je zabio „hattrick” Sportingu!

- Igrali smo protiv jednog od najvećih klubova na svijetu. Odigrali smo vrlo dobru utakmicu. Misliš da si im blizu, a nikako da ih stigneš. Malo smo i sami sebe iznenadili koliko smo izgledali dobro. Mladi smo i neiskusni, samo je par igrača već igralo Ligu prvaka. Ali vidjeli smo da možemo – govorio je Mataja poslije prvog susreta.

Mataja je svoju futsal karijeru započeo u momčadi Potpićana 2015. godine. Dobrim igrama zaslužio je poziv u mladu reprezentaciju. Dvije godine kasnije pojačao je redove slovenskog Bronx Škofija. Veliki trag ostavio je nastupajući za Uspinjaču Gimku s kojom je osvojio dva Kupa Hrvatske. Za to vrijeme postao je i seniorski reprezentativac.

Kao veliko pojačanje Futsal Pule stigao je prošle godine nakon što je raskinuo ugovor s bosanskohercegovačkim prvakom Salinesom. Kroz 2. HMNL zapad, Futsal Pula se ekspresno probila do elitnog razreda hrvatskog futsala. A već u premijernoj sezoni izborili su finale prvenstva. Nastavili su Puležani rasti. Roster je dodatno osnažen prekaljenim futsal majstorom Igorom Osredkarom.

Da ni ove sezone ambicije neće biti išta manje, pokazali su već na otvaranju sezone. Osvojili su Superkup u Makarskoj pobijedivši u finalu Novo Vrijeme. Tri gola Sportingu samo su još jedan dokaz da se u Puli igra itekako ozbiljan futsal, spreman stati uz bok Dalmatincima.

- Kao da ne znaju protiv koga igraju – čuli su se komentari na tribinama. Nevjerojatno hrabro izgledala je Futsal Pula protiv Sportinga. Usprkos porazu (3:5), ostavili su Puležani sjajan dojam. Agresivno, bez respekta, možemo kazati i sportski drsko. Nisu marili što je na drugoj strani dvostruki osvajač Lige prvaka. A uspjeli su ono što mnogi nisu. Zabili su Sportingu. I to tri puta!

A sva tri pogotka djelo su Davida Mataje. Pretvorio se 25-godišnjak u junaka prvog dana. Zabiti portugalskoj „all-star” momčad „hattrick” podvig je kojim se ne može podičiti baš svatko. Mataja je, prije svega, odigrao – kapetanski! S pozicije pivota pritiskao je zadnju liniju Sportinga. Nije im dao mira, ni prilike da mirno iznose loptu i grade napade.

Na muke je tako stavio Merlima...
