Nakon povratka na teren Eduardo da Silva dao je ekskluzivni intervju engleskom tabloidu The Sun.
Po prvi put nakon povratka 25-godišnji napadač Arsenala govori o traumama koje je proživljavao nakon ozljede i izražava zadovoljstvo zbog sjajnog povratka.
Hrvatski Brazilac govori i o oporavku nakon ozljede, a prisjetio se i trenutka kada je Martin Taylor neoprezno startao.
- Nisam očekivao da bi Taylor mogao uklizati, tako da se nisam mogao izmaknuti i izbjeći start. Kada je došlo do kontakta samo sam čuo pucanje kosti – rekao je hrvatski reprezentativac ne želeći se detaljnije prisjećati tog trenutka kojeg kako kaže želi zauvijek izbrisati iz svog sjećanja.
Iako je primio više od 25.000 poruka podrške iz Hrvatske, Brazila i Engleske među njima nije bilo isprike Martina Taylora, igrača Birminghama koji mu je svojim pogibeljnim startom slomio nogu.
U cijeloj priči Eduardo Tayloru najviše zamjera što mu se nije javio telefonom i ispričao ili ga došao vidjeti dok je bio u bolnici:

- Još uvijek se nisam susreo sa Taylorom. Također nisam vidio ni jedno njegovo pismo u kojem izražava žaljenje zbog onog što se dogodilo. Ne mogu vjerovati da me nije nazvao i ispričao se za onaj grubi start – rekao je Da Silva i dodao da je netko iz Arsenala ipak primio mail od Taylora nakon što je zaigrao za Arsenalove rezerve protiv Portsmoutha.
Ipak, Taylor tvrdi suprotno, prema njegovim riječima on je posjetio Eduarda u bolnici odmah nakon operacije, ali napadač Arsenala nije bio pri svijesti.
- Stigao sam u bolnicu istu večer kada je operiran, ali nisam mogao ući. Došao sam sljedeće jutro i ušao u njegovu sobu, ali je bilo primjetno da je on pod jakim lijekovima. Nisam s njim mogao komunicirati zbog jezične barijere – rekao je Taylor i dodao kako su ga u to vrijeme mnogi ljudi proganjali, a tvrdi da je čak primio i prijetnje smrću.
Rekao je da je cijelo vrijeme bio u kontaktu sa Arsenalovim liječnicima i da povratak Dudua i njemu predstavlja veliko olakšanje.
U ponedjeljak navečer je kako kaže bio ispred laptopa i pratio tekstualni prijenos utakmice Arsenala i Cardiffa:
- Laknulo mi je kada sam vidio na koji se način vratio. Zabiti dva pogotka i biti igrač utakmice je sjajna stvar – rekao je igrač Birminghama.
Prisjetio se i situacije kad je klizećim startom slomio Eduardu nogu:
- Jedini razlog što sam startao je bio osjećaj da mogu doći do lopte. No, on je bio puno brži te sam ja startao prekasno. Znam da je to bila stravična nesreća te zbog toga nisam mogao priznati krivnju.
Na pitanje engleskog novinara očekuje li da će mu Eduardo pružiti ruku pri ponovnom susretu Taylor je rekao:
- Ne znam, on će odlučiti. Ne bih ga krivio ako to ne napravi.

Nakon povratka na teren Eduardo da Silva dao je ekskluzivni intervju engleskom tabloidu The Sun.
Po prvi put nakon povratka 25-godišnji napadač Arsenala govori o traumama koje je proživljavao nakon ozljede i izražava zadovoljstvo zbog sjajnog povratka.
Hrvatski Brazilac govori i o oporavku nakon ozljede, a prisjetio se i trenutka kada je Martin Taylor neoprezno startao.
- Nisam očekivao da bi Taylor mogao uklizati, tako da se nisam mogao izmaknuti i izbjeći start. Kada je došlo do kontakta samo sam čuo pucanje kosti – rekao je hrvatski reprezentativac ne želeći se detaljnije prisjećati tog trenutka kojeg kako kaže želi zauvijek izbrisati iz svog sjećanja.
Iako je primio više od 25.000 poruka podrške iz Hrvatske, Brazila i Engleske među njima nije bilo isprike Martina Taylora, igrača Birminghama koji mu je svojim pogibeljnim startom slomio nogu.
U cijeloj priči Eduardo Tayloru najviše zamjera što mu se nije javio telefonom i ispričao ili ga došao vidjeti dok je bio u bolnici:

- Još uvijek se nisam susreo sa Taylorom. Također nisam vidio ni jedno njegovo pismo u kojem izražava žaljenje zbog onog što se dogodilo. Ne mogu vjerovati da me nije nazvao i ispričao se za onaj grubi start – rekao je Da Silva i dodao da je netko iz Arsenala ipak primio mail od Taylora nakon što je zaigrao za Arsenalove rezerve protiv Portsmoutha.
Ipak, Taylor tvrdi suprotno, prema njegovim riječima on je posjetio Eduarda u bolnici odmah nakon operacije, ali napadač Arsenala nije bio pri svijesti.
- Stigao sam u bolnicu istu večer kada je operiran, ali nisam mogao ući. Došao sam sljedeće jutro i ušao u njegovu sobu, ali je bilo primjetno da je on pod jakim lijekovima. Nisam s njim mogao komunicirati zbog jezične barijere – rekao je Taylor i dodao kako su ga u to vrijeme mnogi ljudi proganjali, a tvrdi da je čak primio i prijetnje smrću.
Rekao je da je cijelo vrijeme bio u kontaktu sa Arsenalovim liječnicima i da povratak Dudua i njemu predstavlja veliko olakšanje.
U ponedjeljak navečer je kako kaže bio ispred laptopa i pratio tekstualni prijenos utakmice Arsenala i Cardiffa:
- Laknulo mi je kada sam vidio na koji se način vratio. Zabiti dva pogotka i biti igrač utakmice je sjajna stvar – rekao je igrač Birminghama.
Prisjetio se i situacije kad je klizećim startom slomio Eduardu nogu:
- Jedini razlog što sam startao je bio osjećaj da mogu doći do lopte. No, on je bio puno brži te sam ja startao prekasno. Znam da je to bila stravična nesreća te zbog toga nisam mogao priznati krivnju.
Na pitanje engleskog novinara očekuje li da će mu Eduardo pružiti ruku pri ponovnom susretu Taylor je rekao:
- Ne znam, on će odlučiti. Ne bih ga krivio ako to ne napravi.
