Udaljeno od Šibenika samo dvadesetak kilometara, naselje Lepenica vode nema. Unatoč otežanim životnim uvjetima, vrtovi stanovnika puni su plodova, a uzgajaju i domaće životinje. Obećanja o spajanju na vodovod slušaju već desetljećima, a sada napokon voda dolazi i do njihovih kuća.
U Lepenici voda se grabi kao nekad davno. Mještanima je dragocjena.
- Nije baš kao moj opol, ali dobra je, govori Ante
Ante je zbog problema s vodom, simbolično, odselio u Vodice.
- Teško je. Sad zamislite dvije kćeri koje sam imao da su živjele tu, zamisli koliko je trebalo cisterni vode. Nažalost, kad se selo iselilo kao i svugdje drugo, voda je došla. Voda je došla, došao je i život, rekao je Ante Vučić, mještanin Lepenice.
S veseljem vodu iščekuje i osamdeset jednogodišnji Milko.
- Neka je, neka je. Hoću da dođe voda! To mi srce raste, govori Milko Mrdeža.
U Lepenici spajanje na vodovod čekaju predugo.
- E sad kad smo ostarili, još koju godinu i ajde ća, to je trebalo doći ima 30 godina i više, govori Nevenka Mrdeža, mještanka Lepenice.
Pa ne čudi što u Lepenici ima više gusterni nego mještana. Živko ju je uklopio unutar svoja četiri zida.
- Iz gusterne vuče pumpa koja nalije rezervar i iz rezervara ovamo izlazi voda, objašnjava Živko Paškalin iz Lepenice.
Problem je kada struja nestane
- A mislim, bit će puno bolje, 5000 puta bolje. Voda je voda. Ne treba gledati struju. Struje kada nema, hidrofori ne rade. Znaš šta je to, ne radi, ne funkcionira ništa, govori Ivica Mrdeža, mještanin Lepenice.
Voda dolazi u Lepenicu - radovi u punom jeku
No postat će lakše. Selom odjekuju radovi, kopaju se kanali voda dolazi.
- Radovi su u punom jeku, nema nikakvih problema, dakle završetak je šesti mjesec 2024. godine. Ugovorna vrijednost je 413 000 eura bez PDV-a, izjavio je Zvonimir Štrkalj, direktor Vodovoda i odvodnje Šibenik.
Vjeruju svi da će dva kilometra vodovodne mreže donijeti razvitak. Već se vraćaju i mlade obitelji.
- Kad ta voda dođe radit ćemo vrtove, radit ćemo sve, ljudi će se baviti seoskim gospodarstvom i seoskim turizmom, rekao je Marinko Vučić, predsjednik Mjesnog odbora Lepenice.
Unatoč svim poteškoćama, vrijedne ruke nastavljaju s uzgojem sočnog povrća.
I s nestrpljenjem dozivaju ljeto - kada voda za Lepenicu više neće biti luksuz.

Udaljeno od Šibenika samo dvadesetak kilometara, naselje Lepenica vode nema. Unatoč otežanim životnim uvjetima, vrtovi stanovnika puni su plodova, a uzgajaju i domaće životinje. Obećanja o spajanju na vodovod slušaju već desetljećima, a sada napokon voda dolazi i do njihovih kuća.
U Lepenici voda se grabi kao nekad davno. Mještanima je dragocjena.
- Nije baš kao moj opol, ali dobra je, govori Ante
Ante je zbog problema s vodom, simbolično, odselio u Vodice.
- Teško je. Sad zamislite dvije kćeri koje sam imao da su živjele tu, zamisli koliko je trebalo cisterni vode. Nažalost, kad se selo iselilo kao i svugdje drugo, voda je došla. Voda je došla, došao je i život, rekao je Ante Vučić, mještanin Lepenice.
S veseljem vodu iščekuje i osamdeset jednogodišnji Milko.
- Neka je, neka je. Hoću da dođe voda! To mi srce raste, govori Milko Mrdeža.
U Lepenici spajanje na vodovod čekaju predugo.
- E sad kad smo ostarili, još koju godinu i ajde ća, to je trebalo doći ima 30 godina i više, govori Nevenka Mrdeža, mještanka Lepenice.
Pa ne čudi što u Lepenici ima više gusterni nego mještana. Živko ju je uklopio unutar svoja četiri zida.

Problem je kada struja nestane
- A mislim, bit će puno bolje, 5000 puta bolje. Voda je voda. Ne treba gledati struju. Struje kada nema, hidrofori ne rade. Znaš šta je to, ne radi, ne funkcionira ništa, govori Ivica Mrdeža, mještanin Lepenice.
Voda dolazi u Lepenicu - radovi u punom jeku
No postat će lakše. Selom odjekuju radovi, kopaju se kanali voda dolazi.
- Radovi su u punom jeku, nema nikakvih problema, dakle završetak je šesti mjesec 2024. godine. Ugovorna vrijednost je 413 000 eura bez PDV-a, izjavio je Zvonimir Štrkalj, direktor Vodovoda i odvodnje Šibenik.
Vjeruju svi da će dva kilometra vodovodne mreže donijeti razvitak. Već se vraćaju i mlade obitelji.

Unatoč svim poteškoćama, vrijedne ruke nastavljaju s uzgojem sočnog povrća.
I s nestrpljenjem dozivaju ljeto - kada voda za Lepenicu više neće biti luksuz.
