Svi znamo važnost 15. siječnja 1992. godine za suvremenu Hrvatsku. Prošlo je 29 godina od međunarodnog priznanja Hrvatske.

Međutim, znamo li zbog čega je današnji dan važan za Šibenik? Prije 148 godine, 15. siječnja 1873. Ante Šupuk je izabran za gradonačelnika i Šibenik je dobio prvu hrvatsku upravu.

Bila je to velika pobjeda nad šibenskim autonomašima. Tog dana se cijeli dan slavilo u Šibeniku, grad je bio pun hrvatskih trobojnica, a Ante Šupuk se na hrvatskom jeziku obratio vijećnicima. Od tada do pada Austro-Ugarske Monarhije šibenska je općina u rukama hrvatske većine, a Ante Šupuk je do svoje smrti 1904. godine biran za njezina načelnika. Veliki dan za Šibenik.

Još jedan zanimljiv podatak, na današnji je dan 1970. godine umro hrvatski kipar Šibenčanin Grga Antunac, koji je krajem šezdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, izradio vratnice na glavnom i zapadnom portalu šibenske katedrale svetog Jakova s prizorima iz Starog i Novog zavjeta

Svi znamo važnost 15. siječnja 1992. godine za suvremenu Hrvatsku. Prošlo je 29 godina od međunarodnog priznanja Hrvatske.

Međutim, znamo li zbog čega je današnji dan važan za Šibenik? Prije 148 godine, 15. siječnja 1873. Ante Šupuk je izabran za gradonačelnika i Šibenik je dobio prvu hrvatsku upravu.

Bila je to velika pobjeda nad šibenskim autonomašima. Tog dana se cijeli dan slavilo u Šibeniku, grad je bio pun hrvatskih trobojnica, a Ante Šupuk se na hrvatskom jeziku obratio vijećnicima. Od tada do pada Austro-Ugarske Monarhije šibenska je općina u rukama hrvatske većine, a Ante Šupuk je do svoje smrti 1904. godine biran za njezina načelnika. Veliki dan za Šibenik.

Još jedan zanimljiv podatak, na današnji je dan 1970. godine umro hrvatski kipar Šibenčanin Grga Antunac, koji je krajem šezdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, izradio vratnice na glavnom i zapadnom portalu šibenske katedrale svetog Jakova s prizorima iz Starog i Novog zavjeta

Današnji dan je višestruko važan za Krešimirov grad: Dobio je prvu hrvatsku upravu i vjerojatno najvećeg gradonačelnika u povijesti

Svi znamo važnost 15. siječnja 1992. godine za suvremenu Hrvatsku. Prošlo je 29 godina od međunarodnog priznanja Hrvatske.

Međutim, znamo li zbog čega je današnji dan važan za Šibenik? Prije 148 godine, 15. siječnja 1873. Ante Šupuk je izabran za gradonačelnika i Šibenik je dobio prvu hrvatsku upravu.

Bila je to velika pobjeda nad šibenskim autonomašima. Tog dana se cijeli dan slavilo u Šibeniku, grad je bio pun hrvatskih trobojnica, a Ante Šupuk se na hrvatskom jeziku obratio vijećnicima. Od tada do pada Austro-Ugarske Monarhije šibenska je općina u rukama hrvatske većine, a Ante Šupuk je do svoje smrti 1904. godine biran za njezina načelnika. Veliki dan za Šibenik.

Još jedan zanimljiv podatak, na današnji je dan 1970. godine umro hrvatski kipar Šibenčanin Grga Antunac, koji je krajem šezdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, izradio vratnice na glavnom i zapadnom portalu šibenske katedrale svetog Jakova s prizorima iz Starog i Novog zavjeta
