 U Iraku mnogi strahuju da će najveća misa pape Franje u toj zemlji, iako je održana na otvorenom, postati žarište zaraze jer mnogi nisu imali zaštitne maske i iako su organizatori ograničili broj dostupnih mjesta na stadionu Franso Hariri na nekoliko tisuća od postojećih 20.000 u jeku drugog vala covida-19.


To je ozbiljna prijetnja u zemlji koja je do sada dobila samo 50.000 doza cjepiva za medicinsko osoblje, a granica s Iranom, pandemijom najzahvaćenijom zemljom Bliskog istoka, jako je propusna.


Brojni vjernici nisu nosili maske ili su ih spustili pod bradu. Čekajući Papu, više desetaka hodočasnika je plesalo, sviralo i defiliralo u skupinama uglavnom bez maski ne poštivajući socijalnu distancu.


Ovog mjeseca je Irak imao rekordan broj dnevnih zaraza od 5200 novooboljelih.
Prema službenim podacima ukupno je 726.548 Iračana zaraženo, od kojih je umrlo 13.572. Tijekom posjeta pape Franje je određena karantena koja bi mogla biti produžena, upozorile su vlasti.


Ali Iračani neprestano ponavljaju da je zemlja, koja ima jedno od najmlađih stanovništva na svijetu, već doživjela mnogo veća vjerska okupljanja koja nisu utjecala na krivulju zaraza. U listopadu se 14,5 milijuna muslimanskih hodočasnika okupilo u šijitskom svetom gradu Kerbali.


Papa i svi svećenici uz njega nosili su maske. Tijekom pričesti u Bagdadu su dezinficirali ruke vjernika prije pružanja hostije.

 U Iraku mnogi strahuju da će najveća misa pape Franje u toj zemlji, iako je održana na otvorenom, postati žarište zaraze jer mnogi nisu imali zaštitne maske i iako su organizatori ograničili broj dostupnih mjesta na stadionu Franso Hariri na nekoliko tisuća od postojećih 20.000 u jeku drugog vala covida-19.


To je ozbiljna prijetnja u zemlji koja je do sada dobila samo 50.000 doza cjepiva za medicinsko osoblje, a granica s Iranom, pandemijom najzahvaćenijom zemljom Bliskog istoka, jako je propusna.


Brojni vjernici nisu nosili maske ili su ih spustili pod bradu. Čekajući Papu, više desetaka hodočasnika je plesalo, sviralo i defiliralo u skupinama uglavnom bez maski ne poštivajući socijalnu distancu.


Ovog mjeseca je Irak imao rekordan broj dnevnih zaraza od 5200 novooboljelih.
Prema službenim podacima ukupno je 726.548 Iračana zaraženo, od kojih je umrlo 13.572. Tijekom posjeta pape Franje je određena karantena koja bi mogla biti produžena, upozorile su vlasti.


Ali Iračani neprestano ponavljaju da je zemlja, koja ima jedno od najmlađih stanovništva na svijetu, već doživjela mnogo veća vjerska okupljanja koja nisu utjecala na krivulju zaraza. U listopadu se 14,5 milijuna muslimanskih hodočasnika okupilo u šijitskom svetom gradu Kerbali.


Papa i svi svećenici uz njega nosili su maske. Tijekom pričesti u Bagdadu su dezinficirali ruke vjernika prije pružanja hostije.

Tijekom Papine mise mnogi nisu nosili maske; Iračani strahuju od zaraze, a cjepiva imaju vrlo malo

 U Iraku mnogi strahuju da će najveća misa pape Franje u toj zemlji, iako je održana na otvorenom, postati žarište zaraze jer mnogi nisu imali zaštitne maske i iako su organizatori ograničili broj dostupnih mjesta na stadionu Franso Hariri na nekoliko tisuća od postojećih 20.000 u jeku drugog vala covida-19.


To je ozbiljna prijetnja u zemlji koja je do sada dobila samo 50.000 doza cjepiva za medicinsko osoblje, a granica s Iranom, pandemijom najzahvaćenijom zemljom Bliskog istoka, jako je propusna.


Brojni vjernici nisu nosili maske ili su ih spustili pod bradu. Čekajući Papu, više desetaka hodočasnika je plesalo, sviralo i defiliralo u skupinama uglavnom bez maski ne poštivajući socijalnu distancu.


Ovog mjeseca je Irak imao rekordan broj dnevnih zaraza od 5200 novooboljelih.
Prema službenim podacima ukupno je 726.548 Iračana zaraženo, od kojih je umrlo 13.572. Tijekom posjeta pape Franje je određena karantena koja bi mogla biti produžena, upozorile su vlasti.


Ali Iračani neprestano ponavljaju da je zemlja, koja ima jedno od najmlađih stanovništva na svijetu, već doživjela mnogo veća vjerska okupljanja koja nisu utjecala na krivulju zaraza. U listopadu se 14,5 milijuna muslimanskih hodočasnika okupilo u šijitskom svetom gradu Kerbali.


Papa i svi svećenici uz njega nosili su maske. Tijekom pričesti u Bagdadu su dezinficirali ruke vjernika prije pružanja hostije.
