HRT je objavio ekskluzivne, na televiziji i u medijima uopće nikada emitirane dokumentarne snimke koje svjedoče o prošlosti naših krajeva i načinu života koji više gotovo da i ne postoji.

Samo je nekoliko kadrova prikazano u emisiji Plodovi zemlje prošloga proljeća. Autor golema materijala pokojni je Vanja Žanko, agronom i stručnjak za vinarstvo i vinogradarstvo, karikaturist, diplomat i izaslanik Ujedinjenih naroda. Žanko je kroničar vremena koje je, barem na filmu, pokušao sačuvati od zaborava.

Zabilježio je život u Starome Gradu početkom pedesetih godina prošloga stoljeća. Davno prošlo vrijeme i čovjek o kojemu se u ovim novim vremenima premalo zna.

- On je napravio za nas jako vrijedan filmski materijal i fotografije i o izgradnji vinarije, ali i o Starome Gradu i iz tih materijala se može vidjeti da su tadašnja polja 50-tih i 60-tih godina bila jako dobro obrađena. Svaki komadić zemlje je bio obrađen, bile su vinove loze i to je u tom periodu bilo jedino čime su se bavili ljudi, tako da je to od iznimne važnosti. Taj materijal imamo sačuvan iz tog razdoblja koji je jako zanimljiv nama - za HRT emisiju Plodovi zemlje rekla je Vilma Matulić, konzervator kustos u Muzeju Staroga Grada.

Mali dio, tek nekoliko minuta materijala, javnosti je dostupno u Muzeju vinogradarstva u obližnjim Pitvama. Odabrano je nekoliko minuta iznimno bogate etnografske građe koju je ostavio Vanja Žanko. Vidi se "turnonje". Tiještenje grožđa. Ondašnji način prerade slatkih bobica u vrijedne kapljice. 

- On je jako lijepo snimio čitav proces od berbe, berbe u vinogradu, nakon čega se grožđe u to vrijeme još uvijek tijestilo u vinogradu i onda se u mješinama na magarcima gonilo u konobe - opisala je Marija Plenković, ravnateljica Muzeja općine Jelsa. 

I ta jedina mogućnost da se vide snimke koje je Vanja Žanko snimao tijekom tri desetljeća, usrećuje Dunju Žanko Darrot, njegovu kći koja se gotov cijeli život bori da se vrijedni materijal digitalizira i valorizira.

- Taj materijal koji je moj otac snimao je nevjerojatno bogat i meni je žao da ga se ne može vidjeti u cjelini jer zahtjeva dosta toga da bi se to realiziralo, objasnila je Dunja za HRT.

Žanko je od 1950. do 1980. na svojoj 16 milimetarskoj kameri snimio 11 sati materijala, priča Dunja. To su 33 role i 5 tisuća metara filma koje se, nastavlja, čuvaju u Državnom arhivu u Zagrebu.  

- Nažalost, on se ne može vidjeti, kakav je takav. Njega se mora digitalizirati i u tome je jedan veliki problem jer je to jedno veliko gradivo koje zahtijeva da mu se netko posveti potpuno, a ja to godinama čekam, rekla je Dunja.

Gledanje snimki doslovce ostavlja bez daha. To je putovanje kroz vrijeme, u vremeplovu koji je zastajao u gradovima diljem Hrvatske i bivše Jugoslavije, priča Dunja koja iz Pariza u kojemu od mladosti živi, u očevu kuću u Starome Gradu dolazi svako ljeto.

Neostvareni san Vanji Žanku bio je dugometražni dokumentarni film pod nazivom "Dalmacija spašena od zaborava". Na prvom izdanju Dalmatia Film Festivala prikazani su kratki ulomci Žankova materijala i predstavljan je projekt novog dokumentarnog filma koji nije ostvaren. Za njegovu realizaciju potrebna je financijska i sustavna podrška.

Materijal treba digitalizirati i restaurirati, a nijeme snimke ozvučiti. Ostavština Vanje Žanka, žalosna je Dunja, i danas čami u Državnom arhivu. Nada se da ipak neće propasti, javlja HRT.

HRT je objavio ekskluzivne, na televiziji i u medijima uopće nikada emitirane dokumentarne snimke koje svjedoče o prošlosti naših krajeva i načinu života koji više gotovo da i ne postoji.

Samo je nekoliko kadrova prikazano u emisiji Plodovi zemlje prošloga proljeća. Autor golema materijala pokojni je Vanja Žanko, agronom i stručnjak za vinarstvo i vinogradarstvo, karikaturist, diplomat i izaslanik Ujedinjenih naroda. Žanko je kroničar vremena koje je, barem na filmu, pokušao sačuvati od zaborava.

Zabilježio je život u Starome Gradu početkom pedesetih godina prošloga stoljeća. Davno prošlo vrijeme i čovjek o kojemu se u ovim novim vremenima premalo zna.

- On je napravio za nas jako vrijedan filmski materijal i fotografije i o izgradnji vinarije, ali i o Starome Gradu i iz tih materijala se može vidjeti da su tadašnja polja 50-tih i 60-tih godina bila jako dobro obrađena. Svaki komadić zemlje je bio obrađen, bile su vinove loze i to je u tom periodu bilo jedino čime su se bavili ljudi, tako da je to od iznimne važnosti. Taj materijal imamo sačuvan iz tog razdoblja koji je jako zanimljiv nama - za HRT emisiju Plodovi zemlje rekla je Vilma Matulić, konzervator kustos u Muzeju Staroga Grada.

Mali dio, tek nekoliko minuta materijala, javnosti je dostupno u Muzeju vinogradarstva u obližnjim Pitvama. Odabrano je nekoliko minuta iznimno bogate etnografske građe koju je ostavio Vanja Žanko. Vidi se "turnonje". Tiještenje grožđa. Ondašnji način prerade slatkih bobica u vrijedne kapljice. 

- On je jako lijepo snimio čitav proces od berbe, berbe u vinogradu, nakon čega se grožđe u to vrijeme još uvijek tijestilo u vinogradu i onda se u mješinama na magarcima gonilo u konobe - opisala je Marija Plenković, ravnateljica Muzeja općine Jelsa. 

I ta jedina mogućnost da se vide snimke koje je Vanja Žanko snimao tijekom tri desetljeća, usrećuje Dunju Žanko Darrot, njegovu kći koja se gotov cijeli život bori da se vrijedni materijal digitalizira i valorizira.

- Taj materijal koji je moj otac snimao je nevjerojatno bogat i meni je žao da ga se ne može vidjeti u cjelini jer zahtjeva dosta toga da bi se to realiziralo, objasnila je Dunja za HRT.

Žanko je od 1950. do 1980. na svojoj 16 milimetarskoj kameri snimio 11 sati materijala, priča Dunja. To su 33 role i 5 tisuća metara filma koje se, nastavlja, čuvaju u Državnom arhivu u Zagrebu.  

- Nažalost, on se ne može vidjeti, kakav je takav. Njega se mora digitalizirati i u tome je jedan veliki problem jer je to jedno veliko gradivo koje zahtijeva da mu se netko posveti potpuno, a ja to godinama čekam, rekla je Dunja.

Gledanje snimki doslovce ostavlja bez daha. To je putovanje kroz vrijeme, u vremeplovu koji je zastajao u gradovima diljem Hrvatske i bivše Jugoslavije, priča Dunja koja iz Pariza u kojemu od mladosti živi, u očevu kuću u Starome Gradu dolazi svako ljeto.

Neostvareni san Vanji Žanku bio je dugometražni dokumentarni film pod nazivom "Dalmacija spašena od zaborava". Na prvom izdanju Dalmatia Film Festivala prikazani su kratki ulomci Žankova materijala i predstavljan je projekt novog dokumentarnog filma koji nije ostvaren. Za njegovu realizaciju potrebna je financijska i sustavna podrška.

Materijal treba digitalizirati i restaurirati, a nijeme snimke ozvučiti. Ostavština Vanje Žanka, žalosna je Dunja, i danas čami u Državnom arhivu. Nada se da ipak neće propasti, javlja HRT.
