U suradnji sa europskim Centrom za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (ECDC), Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo jednom tjedno šalje dio pozitivnih COVID uzoraka iz Hrvatske na sekvenciranje u njemački laboratorij Eurofins.

Najnoviji podaci pokazuju kako je u zemlji, brzoširući zarazniji delta soj zadominirao gotovo u potpunosti i istisnuo ostale varijante koronavirusa. Ovaj tjedan pristigli su rezultati za 376 uzoraka poslanih na sekvenciranje 17. kolovoza od kojih je 332 uspješno analizirano.

Od pristigla 332 uzorka, samo su dva, odnosno njih 0,6 posto, bili britanski alfa soj dok je čak 99,4 posto, odnosno 330 uzoraka - delta soj.

Prvi put delta korona mutant kod nas je pronađen početkom lipnja, tada je primjerice omjer delte naspram alfa soja bio minimalan: 2 uzorka delte prema 250 alfe, a sad je to obrnuto. Alfa inačice gotovo da i nema. U uzorcima koji su sekvencirani od 16. do 22. kolovoza samo su dva bila alfa, a 167 delta varijanta. Ono što zabrinjava jest, što su među njima bilo i tri uzorka zaraznijeg delta plus soja. Taj soj ima mutaciju na 417. mjestu u genomu proteina šiljka koji mu daje imunoevazivnost, odnosno još mogućnost za izbjegavanje imunosni odgovor.

Delta plus, prema kliničkim promatranjima širi se gotovo 60 posto brže od standardne varijante i dobro zaobilazi cjepivo, pa i kod osoba cijepljenih s dvije doze može izazvati smrtne posljedice. Ohrabrujuće je što je još uvijek zastupljen u niskoj razini, ali simptomi koje može izazvati ekstremni su u odnosu na prvi virus iz Kine.

 Upravo zbog dominacije delta soja, brže se pune hrvatske bolnice i trenutačno je zbog COVID-a hospitalizirano 374 pacijenta, a na respiratoru je 47 najtežih slučajeva. Samo dvadesetak dana ranije, početkom kolovoza u bolnicama se liječilo daleko manje zaraženih, 150, a na respiratorima je bilo 12 osoba.

 Do sada su velika istraživanja uglavnom dokazivala da je delta zaraznija, ali nije bilo pouzdanih podataka o riziku teškog oblika covida-19. Međutim sad je utvrđeno kako je rizik od hospitalizacije zbog zaraze delta varijantom i dvostruko veći nego u slučaju zaraze alfom. Upravo je objavljeno istraživanje u uglednom časopisu Lancet Infectious Diseases, koje su proveli znanstvenici Sveučilišta Cambridge i Agencije za javno zdravstvo Engleske koje to potvrđuje. Stručnjaci su analizirali više od 40 tisuća oboljelih od korone u Velikoj Britaniji, a podaci se uglavnom se odnose na necijepljene. Istraživači su ustanovili da je rizik od hospitalizacije prosječno 2,26 puta veći kod delta varijante. Od 40 tisuća slučajeva iz studije, samo je 1,8 posto bilo potpuno cijepljenih, što istraživači interpretiraju kao potvrdu velike efikasnosti cjepiva. Od zaraženih u studiji 74 posto ih je bilo necijepljeno, a 24 posto djelomično cijepljeno.

"Naša analiza naglašava da će u nedostatku cijepljenja svaka epidemija delte nametnuti veći teret zdravstvenom sustavu nego epidemija alfe", rekla je jedna od autorica studije, Anne Presanis sa Sveučilišta Cambridge

"Potpuno cijepljenje ključno je za smanjenje individualnog rizika od simptomatske infekcije deltom i, što je jednako važno, za smanjenje rizika od teške bolesti i prijema u bolnicu za pacijenta zaraženog deltom", zaključa je znanstvenica.

U suradnji sa europskim Centrom za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (ECDC), Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo jednom tjedno šalje dio pozitivnih COVID uzoraka iz Hrvatske na sekvenciranje u njemački laboratorij Eurofins.

Najnoviji podaci pokazuju kako je u zemlji, brzoširući zarazniji delta soj zadominirao gotovo u potpunosti i istisnuo ostale varijante koronavirusa. Ovaj tjedan pristigli su rezultati za 376 uzoraka poslanih na sekvenciranje 17. kolovoza od kojih je 332 uspješno analizirano.

Od pristigla 332 uzorka, samo su dva, odnosno njih 0,6 posto, bili britanski alfa soj dok je čak 99,4 posto, odnosno 330 uzoraka - delta soj.

Prvi put delta korona mutant kod nas je pronađen početkom lipnja, tada je primjerice omjer delte naspram alfa soja bio minimalan: 2 uzorka delte prema 250 alfe, a sad je to obrnuto. Alfa inačice gotovo da i nema. U uzorcima koji su sekvencirani od 16. do 22. kolovoza samo su dva bila alfa, a 167 delta varijanta. Ono što zabrinjava jest, što su među njima bilo i tri uzorka zaraznijeg delta plus soja. Taj soj ima mutaciju na 417. mjestu u genomu proteina šiljka koji mu daje imunoevazivnost, odnosno još mogućnost za izbjegavanje imunosni odgovor.

Delta plus, prema kliničkim promatranjima širi se gotovo 60 posto brže od standardne varijante i dobro zaobilazi cjepivo, pa i kod osoba cijepljenih s dvije doze može izazvati smrtne posljedice. Ohrabrujuće je što je još uvijek zastupljen u niskoj razini, ali simptomi koje može izazvati ekstremni su u odnosu na prvi virus iz Kine.

 Upravo zbog dominacije delta soja, brže se pune hrvatske bolnice i trenutačno je zbog COVID-a hospitalizirano 374 pacijenta, a na respiratoru je 47 najtežih slučajeva. Samo dvadesetak dana ranije, početkom kolovoza u bolnicama se liječilo daleko manje zaraženih, 150, a na respiratorima je bilo 12 osoba.

 Do sada su velika istraživanja uglavnom dokazivala da je delta zaraznija, ali nije bilo pouzdanih podataka o riziku teškog oblika covida-19. Međutim sad je utvrđeno kako je rizik od hospitalizacije zbog zaraze delta varijantom i dvostruko veći nego u slučaju zaraze alfom. Upravo je objavljeno istraživanje u uglednom časopisu Lancet Infectious Diseases, koje su proveli znanstvenici Sveučilišta Cambridge i Agencije za javno zdravstvo Engleske koje to potvrđuje. Stručnjaci su analizirali više od 40 tisuća oboljelih od korone u Velikoj Britaniji, a podaci se uglavnom se odnose na necijepljene. Istraživači su ustanovili da je rizik od hospitalizacije prosječno 2,26 puta veći kod delta varijante. Od 40 tisuća slučajeva iz studije, samo je 1,8 posto bilo potpuno cijepljenih, što istraživači interpretiraju kao potvrdu velike efikasnosti cjepiva. Od zaraženih u studiji 74 posto ih je bilo necijepljeno, a 24 posto djelomično cijepljeno.

"Naša analiza naglašava da će u nedostatku cijepljenja svaka epidemija delte nametnuti veći teret zdravstvenom sustavu nego epidemija alfe", rekla je jedna od autorica studije, Anne Presanis sa Sveučilišta Cambridge

"Potpuno cijepljenje ključno je za smanjenje individualnog rizika od simptomatske infekcije deltom i, što je jednako važno, za smanjenje rizika od teške bolesti i prijema u bolnicu za pacijenta zaraženog deltom", zaključa je znanstvenica.
