Nutricionisti su suglasni da je jedenje povrća bogatoga vlaknima važno za zdravlje.
Donedavno je glavna namirnica u wellness prehrani i u smoothieijima bio špinat. Sada je, prema nekim nutricionistima, hit kelj.
To lisnato zeleno povrće, koje je tehnički vrsta kupusa, puno je vitamina A, K i C i, što je ključno, pun je vlakana koja potiču rad crijeva te imaju važnu ulogu u smanjenju rizika od raka crijeva i bolesti srca.
"Kelj ima više vlakana i sadrži više vitamina C od špinata. Vitamin C djeluje kao antioksidans. Pomaže imunološkom sustavu i u apsorpciji željeza", rekla je za Fox News Stephanie McKercher, registrirana dijetetičarka i programerka recepata u Denveru, prenosi Daily Mail.

Međutim, neki drugi stručnjaci imaju različito mišljenje. Za Jabea Browna, australskog stručnjaka za funkcionalnu medicinu, najzdravije lisnato zeleno povrće nije kelj nego raštika. "Ona ima više vlakana po kaloriji od većine drugog lisnatog povrća (osam po šalici kuhanog zelenog povrća). Raštika je izvrstan izvor kalija, koji je ključan za regulaciju otkucaja srca, pomaže pri kontrakciji mišića i uravnotežuje razinu natrija u tijelu. Bogata je vitaminima A i C, bitnim za zdrav imunološki sustav - kao i željezom za sprječavanje anemije.
A tu je i kalcij, koji se često smatra jedinstvenim za mliječne proizvode. Dok šalica sirovog špinata sadrži 30 miligrama kalcija, a kelj 53 miligrama, jedna šalica raštike ima impresivnih 286 mg kalcija, kaže Brown koji je smatra idealnim izborom, posebno za sve koji žele povećati unos dijetalnih vlakana.

Ipak stručnjaci su suglasni da je dodavanje bilo kojeg lisnatog povrća u prehranu siguran način da se izbjegnu grickalice, dobiju prijeko potrebna vlakna, produži osjećaj sitosti i održi zdrava razina šećera u krvi.
"Jedno zeleno lisnato povrće imat će malo više nekih vitamina i minerala nego drugo, ali alternativa će imati više različitih hranjivih tvari. Dakle, nema jasnog pobjednika ili nešto slično. I mislim da je stvarno važno da ljudi jedu više lisnatog povrća", rekla je registrirana dijetetičarka dr. Carolyn Williams, piše Daily Mail.
Naravno da među povrćem većina od nas ima svoje favorite, ali svaki izbor je, kako vidimo, zdrav. Naravno i onaj koji se tiče ovdje neuvrštenog lisnatog povrća poput blitve.

Nutricionisti su suglasni da je jedenje povrća bogatoga vlaknima važno za zdravlje.
Donedavno je glavna namirnica u wellness prehrani i u smoothieijima bio špinat. Sada je, prema nekim nutricionistima, hit kelj.
To lisnato zeleno povrće, koje je tehnički vrsta kupusa, puno je vitamina A, K i C i, što je ključno, pun je vlakana koja potiču rad crijeva te imaju važnu ulogu u smanjenju rizika od raka crijeva i bolesti srca.
"Kelj ima više vlakana i sadrži više vitamina C od špinata. Vitamin C djeluje kao antioksidans. Pomaže imunološkom sustavu i u apsorpciji željeza", rekla je za Fox News Stephanie McKercher, registrirana dijetetičarka i programerka recepata u Denveru, prenosi Daily Mail.

Međutim, neki drugi stručnjaci imaju različito mišljenje. Za Jabea Browna, australskog stručnjaka za funkcionalnu medicinu, najzdravije lisnato zeleno povrće nije kelj nego raštika. "Ona ima više vlakana po kaloriji od većine drugog lisnatog povrća (osam po šalici kuhanog zelenog povrća). Raštika je izvrstan izvor kalija, koji je ključan za regulaciju otkucaja srca, pomaže pri kontrakciji mišića i uravnotežuje razinu natrija u tijelu. Bogata je vitaminima A i C, bitnim za zdrav imunološki sustav - kao i željezom za sprječavanje anemije.
A tu je i kalcij, koji se često smatra jedinstvenim za mliječne proizvode. Dok šalica sirovog špinata sadrži 30 miligrama kalcija, a kelj 53 miligrama, jedna šalica raštike ima impresivnih 286 mg kalcija, kaže Brown koji je smatra idealnim izborom, posebno za sve koji žele povećati unos dijetalnih vlakana.

Ipak stručnjaci su suglasni da je dodavanje bilo kojeg lisnatog povrća u prehranu siguran način da se izbjegnu grickalice, dobiju prijeko potrebna vlakna, produži osjećaj sitosti i održi zdrava razina šećera u krvi.
"Jedno zeleno lisnato povrće imat će malo više nekih vitamina i minerala nego drugo, ali alternativa će imati više različitih hranjivih tvari. Dakle, nema jasnog pobjednika ili nešto slično. I mislim da je stvarno važno da ljudi jedu više lisnatog povrća", rekla je registrirana dijetetičarka dr. Carolyn Williams, piše Daily Mail.
Naravno da među povrćem većina od nas ima svoje favorite, ali svaki izbor je, kako vidimo, zdrav. Naravno i onaj koji se tiče ovdje neuvrštenog lisnatog povrća poput blitve.
