Izvješće obdukcije ranije je otkrilo da je glumac preminuo zbog akutnih učinaka ketamina i utapanja.

Matthew Perry primio je infuziju ketamina kao lijek za depresiju tjedan i pol dana prije nego što je umro, no medicinski istražitelj, Raffi Djabourian, izvijestio je da ketamin ostaje u tijelu do tri, četiri sata te da ta terapija nije mogla izravno dovesti do njegove smrti. Razina ketamina u perifernoj krvi kod Perryja iznosila je 3540 ng/ml, a u središnjoj 3271 ng/ml, dok je za pacijenta pod općom anestezijom u bolnici razina ketamina u krvi od 1000 do 6000 ng/ml, piše Jutarnji list. 

- Vjerojatno je pao u nesvijest i utopio se. Bolest koronarne arterije doprinosi zbog pogoršanja učinaka miokarda na srce izazvanih ketaminom. Učinci buprenorfina navedeni su kao doprinosi, iako nisu na toksičnim razinama, zbog aditivnih respiratornih učinaka kada su prisutni s visokim razinama ketamina - objasnio je Djabourian.

Kada je Perry proglašen mrtvim na licu mjesta, našli su ga beživotnog u jacuzziju u njegovom domu u Los Angelesu, nije imao alkohola, kokaina, heroina, metamfetamina ili fentanila u tijelu. Patolog je rekao da je Perry imao povijest emfizema, dijabetesa i upotrebe droga, ali je "navodno bio čist 19 mjeseci".

Kad su istražitelji došli u Perryjev dom, nisu pronašli nikakve ilegalne droge, ali su pronašli lijekove na recept koji su bili propisno označeni i čuvani u bočicama. Ketamin se može propisati kao medicinski tretman, ali za sada nije poznato je li on jedan od onih propisanih lijekova pronađenih u njegovu domu.

Medicinski istražitelj pronašao je dokaze o njegovoj dugogodišnjoj zlouporabi droga i alkohola. Perry je patio od preteče ciroze jetre te oštećenja bubrega koje je uzrokovano dugotrajnim, loše kontroliranim, visokim krvnim tlakom i dugotrajnim korištenjem droga.

Perryjeva autopsija također je otkrila kronično oštećenje gušterače za što se također sumnja da su uzrok opijati. Glumac se cijeloga života pokušao izliječiti od ovisnosti. U svojim memoarima "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing" napisao da je potrošio 9 milijuna dolara pokušavajući se otrijezniti, da je otišao na 6000 sastanaka, 15 puta na rehabilitaciju i 65 puta na detoksikaciji.

Perry je imao 54 godine.

Matthew Perry primio je infuziju ketamina kao lijek za depresiju tjedan i pol dana prije nego što je umro, no medicinski istražitelj, Raffi Djabourian, izvijestio je da ketamin ostaje u tijelu do tri, četiri sata te da ta terapija nije mogla izravno dovesti do njegove smrti. Razina ketamina u perifernoj krvi kod Perryja iznosila je 3540 ng/ml, a u središnjoj 3271 ng/ml, dok je za pacijenta pod općom anestezijom u bolnici razina ketamina u krvi od 1000 do 6000 ng/ml, piše Jutarnji list. 

- Vjerojatno je pao u nesvijest i utopio se. Bolest koronarne arterije doprinosi zbog pogoršanja učinaka miokarda na srce izazvanih ketaminom. Učinci buprenorfina navedeni su kao doprinosi, iako nisu na toksičnim razinama, zbog aditivnih respiratornih učinaka kada su prisutni s visokim razinama ketamina - objasnio je Djabourian.

Kada je Perry proglašen mrtvim na licu mjesta, našli su ga beživotnog u jacuzziju u njegovom domu u Los Angelesu, nije imao alkohola, kokaina, heroina, metamfetamina ili fentanila u tijelu. Patolog je rekao da je Perry imao povijest emfizema, dijabetesa i upotrebe droga, ali je "navodno bio čist 19 mjeseci".

Kad su istražitelji došli u Perryjev dom, nisu pronašli nikakve ilegalne droge, ali su pronašli lijekove na recept koji su bili propisno označeni i čuvani u bočicama. Ketamin se može propisati kao medicinski tretman, ali za sada nije poznato je li on jedan od onih propisanih lijekova pronađenih u njegovu domu.

Medicinski istražitelj pronašao je dokaze o njegovoj dugogodišnjoj zlouporabi droga i alkohola. Perry je patio od preteče ciroze jetre te oštećenja bubrega koje je uzrokovano dugotrajnim, loše kontroliranim, visokim krvnim tlakom i dugotrajnim korištenjem droga.

Perryjeva autopsija također je otkrila kronično oštećenje gušterače za što se također sumnja da su uzrok opijati. Glumac se cijeloga života pokušao izliječiti od ovisnosti. U svojim memoarima "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing" napisao da je potrošio 9 milijuna dolara pokušavajući se otrijezniti, da je otišao na 6000 sastanaka, 15 puta na rehabilitaciju i 65 puta na detoksikaciji.

Perry je imao 54 godine.
