Hrvatski košarkaši su u subotu u utakmici drugog kola u skupini C na EuroBasketu svladali Veliku Britaniju s 86-65 (20-17, 17-14, 35-9, 14-25).

Bila je to prva pobjeda Hrvatske u Milanu, dok je Velika Britanija upisala drugi poraz.

Hrvatsku su s po 15 poena predvodili Dario Šarić, Bojan Bogdanović i Ivica Zubac, Mario Hezonja je dodao 13 uz 10 skokova, dok je Myles Hesson ubacio 18 za Veliku Britaniju.

Protiv najslabije reprezentacije u skupini Hrvatska se mučila u prvom poluvremenu, poglavito u prvih 10 minuta kada su Britanci dominirali u skoku. Čak devet od svojih ukupno 11 napadačkih skokova Britanci su sakupili u prvoj četvrtini pa je rezultat nakon devet minuta bio 17-17. Tricom Šarića Hrvatska je na mali odmor ipak otišla s prednosti 20-17.

Četiri minute prije kraja druge četvrtine bilo je samo 28-24, a tada je Hrvatska zahvaljujući dvjema oduzetim loptama i laganim poenima nakon njih pobjegla na 35-24. Ipak, nekoliko dvojbenih sudačkih odluka izbacilo je Hrvatsku iz ritma pa se Velika Britanija još jednom uspjela primaknuti. Najbolji britanski igrač Hesson je 16 od svojih ukupno 18 pogodaka postigao upravo u prvih 20 minuta.

U nastavku utakmice stvari su ipak sjele na svoje mjesto.

Hrvatska je u treću četvrtinu ušla s većom energijom, zatvorila je prilaze svom obruču te efikasnom igrom u napadu ostvarila seriju 17-2 kojom je pobjegla na 54-33 i tako praktički riješila pitanje pobjednika.

Razlika u korist Hrvatske rasla je sve do početka četvrte četvrtine kada je bilo +35 (75-40, 77-42) nakon čega je izbornik Damir Mulaomerović odlučio na klupu povući sve startere osim Hezonje. Nažalost, Dubrovčanin je u završnici odlučio privatizirati susret, odlučivao se na šut u svakoj akciji, ali nije bio precizan pa su Britanci uspjeli uvelike ublažiti poraz.

Hrvatski košarkaši su u subotu u utakmici drugog kola u skupini C na EuroBasketu svladali Veliku Britaniju s 86-65 (20-17, 17-14, 35-9, 14-25).

Bila je to prva pobjeda Hrvatske u Milanu, dok je Velika Britanija upisala drugi poraz.

Hrvatsku su s po 15 poena predvodili Dario Šarić, Bojan Bogdanović i Ivica Zubac, Mario Hezonja je dodao 13 uz 10 skokova, dok je Myles Hesson ubacio 18 za Veliku Britaniju.

Protiv najslabije reprezentacije u skupini Hrvatska se mučila u prvom poluvremenu, poglavito u prvih 10 minuta kada su Britanci dominirali u skoku. Čak devet od svojih ukupno 11 napadačkih skokova Britanci su sakupili u prvoj četvrtini pa je rezultat nakon devet minuta bio 17-17. Tricom Šarića Hrvatska je na mali odmor ipak otišla s prednosti 20-17.

Četiri minute prije kraja druge četvrtine bilo je samo 28-24, a tada je Hrvatska zahvaljujući dvjema oduzetim loptama i laganim poenima nakon njih pobjegla na 35-24. Ipak, nekoliko dvojbenih sudačkih odluka izbacilo je Hrvatsku iz ritma pa se Velika Britanija još jednom uspjela primaknuti. Najbolji britanski igrač Hesson je 16 od svojih ukupno 18 pogodaka postigao upravo u prvih 20 minuta.

U nastavku utakmice stvari su ipak sjele na svoje mjesto.

Hrvatska je u treću četvrtinu ušla s većom energijom, zatvorila je prilaze svom obruču te efikasnom igrom u napadu ostvarila seriju 17-2 kojom je pobjegla na 54-33 i tako praktički riješila pitanje pobjednika.

Razlika u korist Hrvatske rasla je sve do početka četvrte četvrtine kada je bilo +35 (75-40, 77-42) nakon čega je izbornik Damir Mulaomerović odlučio na klupu povući sve startere osim Hezonje. Nažalost, Dubrovčanin je u završnici odlučio privatizirati susret, odlučivao se na šut u svakoj akciji, ali nije bio precizan pa su Britanci uspjeli uvelike ublažiti poraz.

Prva pobjeda na Eurobasketu: odličnom igrom u drugom dijelu Hrvatska slomila Veliku Britaniju

Hrvatski košarkaši su u subotu u utakmici drugog kola u skupini C na EuroBasketu svladali Veliku Britaniju s 86-65 (20-17, 17-14, 35-9, 14-25).

Bila je to prva pobjeda Hrvatske u Milanu, dok je Velika Britanija upisala drugi poraz.

Hrvatsku su s po 15 poena predvodili Dario Šarić, Bojan Bogdanović i Ivica Zubac, Mario Hezonja je dodao 13 uz 10 skokova, dok je Myles Hesson ubacio 18 za Veliku Britaniju.

Protiv najslabije reprezentacije u skupini Hrvatska se mučila u prvom poluvremenu, poglavito u prvih 10 minuta kada su Britanci dominirali u skoku. Čak devet od svojih ukupno 11 napadačkih skokova Britanci su sakupili u prvoj četvrtini pa je rezultat nakon devet minuta bio 17-17. Tricom Šarića Hrvatska je na mali odmor ipak otišla s prednosti 20-17.

Četiri minute prije kraja druge četvrtine bilo je samo 28-24, a tada je Hrvatska zahvaljujući dvjema oduzetim loptama i laganim poenima nakon njih pobjegla na 35-24. Ipak, nekoliko dvojbenih sudačkih odluka izbacilo je Hrvatsku iz ritma pa se Velika Britanija još jednom uspjela primaknuti. Najbolji britanski igrač Hesson je 16 od svojih ukupno 18 pogodaka postigao upravo u prvih 20 minuta.

U nastavku utakmice stvari su ipak sjele na svoje mjesto.

Hrvatska je u treću četvrtinu ušla s većom energijom, zatvorila je prilaze svom obruču te efikasnom igrom u napadu ostvarila seriju 17-2 kojom je pobjegla na 54-33 i tako praktički riješila pitanje pobjednika.

Razlika u korist Hrvatske rasla je sve do početka četvrte četvrtine kada je bilo +35 (75-40, 77-42) nakon čega je izbornik Damir Mulaomerović odlučio na klupu povući sve startere osim Hezonje. Nažalost, Dubrovčanin je u završnici odlučio privatizirati susret, odlučivao se na šut u svakoj akciji, ali nije bio precizan pa su Britanci uspjeli uvelike ublažiti poraz.
