Na riječkom Korzu, ispred Gradske vijećnice, u vitrinama je postavljena izložba "Jadranski pomorci na Arktiku" u organizaciji Lions cluba Quarneroli Lovran u suradnji s Hrvatskom maticom iseljenika – Podružnica Rijeka.

Izložba je posvećena 150. obljetnici austrougarske polarne ekspedicije tijekom koje je otkriven i otočni arhipelag Zemlja Franje Josipa na kojem otada postoji i rt Fiume.

U ekspediciji je, od 24 člana posade, sudjelovalo i 12 hrvatskih mornara, većinom s Kvarnera koje su vođe ekspedicije nazvali Quaerneroli, označavajući time izuzetno sposobne pomorce, ističu organizatori, dodajući kako se izložbom želi ukazati na doprinos hrvatskih mornara ovom istraživanju te naglasiti važnost hrvatske pomorske tradicije i baštine kao i činjenicu da su mnogi hrvatski pomorci svojim djelovanjem ostavili trag i u iseljeništvu.

Uskoro će, točnije 14. ožujka, u Gradskoj vijećnici grada Rijeke, biti predstavljen pretisak knjige Petra Kuničića "Hrvati na ledenom moru" iz 1893. godine.

Izložba na Korzu ostaje do 17. ožujka nakon čega će, do 31. ožujka preseliti na Sveučilišnom kampus na Trsatu.

Na riječkom Korzu, ispred Gradske vijećnice, u vitrinama je postavljena izložba "Jadranski pomorci na Arktiku" u organizaciji Lions cluba Quarneroli Lovran u suradnji s Hrvatskom maticom iseljenika – Podružnica Rijeka.

Izložba je posvećena 150. obljetnici austrougarske polarne ekspedicije tijekom koje je otkriven i otočni arhipelag Zemlja Franje Josipa na kojem otada postoji i rt Fiume.

U ekspediciji je, od 24 člana posade, sudjelovalo i 12 hrvatskih mornara, većinom s Kvarnera koje su vođe ekspedicije nazvali Quaerneroli, označavajući time izuzetno sposobne pomorce, ističu organizatori, dodajući kako se izložbom želi ukazati na doprinos hrvatskih mornara ovom istraživanju te naglasiti važnost hrvatske pomorske tradicije i baštine kao i činjenicu da su mnogi hrvatski pomorci svojim djelovanjem ostavili trag i u iseljeništvu.

Uskoro će, točnije 14. ožujka, u Gradskoj vijećnici grada Rijeke, biti predstavljen pretisak knjige Petra Kuničića "Hrvati na ledenom moru" iz 1893. godine.

Izložba na Korzu ostaje do 17. ožujka nakon čega će, do 31. ožujka preseliti na Sveučilišnom kampus na Trsatu.

hrabri QuaerneroliJadranski pomorci na Arktiku: obilježava se 150. godina od legendarne polarne ekspedicije

Na riječkom Korzu, ispred Gradske vijećnice, u vitrinama je postavljena izložba "Jadranski pomorci na Arktiku" u organizaciji Lions cluba Quarneroli Lovran u suradnji s Hrvatskom maticom iseljenika – Podružnica Rijeka.

Izložba je posvećena 150. obljetnici austrougarske polarne ekspedicije tijekom koje je otkriven i otočni arhipelag Zemlja Franje Josipa na kojem otada postoji i rt Fiume.

U ekspediciji je, od 24 člana posade, sudjelovalo i 12 hrvatskih mornara, većinom s Kvarnera koje su vođe ekspedicije nazvali Quaerneroli, označavajući time izuzetno sposobne pomorce, ističu organizatori, dodajući kako se izložbom želi ukazati na doprinos hrvatskih mornara ovom istraživanju te naglasiti važnost hrvatske pomorske tradicije i baštine kao i činjenicu da su mnogi hrvatski pomorci svojim djelovanjem ostavili trag i u iseljeništvu.

Uskoro će, točnije 14. ožujka, u Gradskoj vijećnici grada Rijeke, biti predstavljen pretisak knjige Petra Kuničića "Hrvati na ledenom moru" iz 1893. godine.

Izložba na Korzu ostaje do 17. ožujka nakon čega će, do 31. ožujka preseliti na Sveučilišnom kampus na Trsatu.
