Stari Šime je jema je'nu malu batelinu i staru Tomos pentu od 4 konja, onu skroz bilu ča su ji perve učinili. Uvatija se penšjuna, a kako je uvik bija morski čovik, oli boje reč čovik o'mora, sa' je moga po cile dane guštat more, ako bi mu vrime dalo. Uvatija bi obid oli večericu, a znali bi ga Bogovi mora nagradit i obilatije da mrvu penšjun podeb'ja i benzinu pokrije.

Uvik mu je tunja bila u more, oli panulica po krmi, oli peškafondo, po' štajunima se mirija. Jema je i 3 vrše, 1 parangalić za moliće i jedan mali od 20 udic za komarče, sve iz svoje radijone. Vrše se nikad iz mora nisu vadile, a zna bi reć: meni je more i riba život pa i ka' ništa ne uvatin, sebi mira uvatin, forcon se napunin.

Nisu mu tribali sinjali

I ženi mu je to pasalo, uvik je znala di je, ne skita se i ne loče, ribe jon ne fali, a i svoj komod doma jema. More na kafu i čakulu, televiziju vižitavat, poć do ćere... Ma more ča oće.

Susidi su znali da Šime vrše dupera i uvik bi ga iza vrat čekala kesa kruva, jerbo jema svita ča ne ji kruv o'dana da jin gujcu ne probije. Vrše je skalava prid mrak to oće reč liti okolo sedme ure, a zimi već potla dva bota i uvik na ista mista: jednu isprid Lore, drugu isprid Gusara, a treću na puntu Galijere.

Nisu mu tribali sinjali, samo mrvu suvora malo povrj za lagje ranpinat. Jušto bi doša navrj svake i ako ni bi veli kurenat ranpina je iz prve. Odilo je to tako godinan ka nika užanca, ritual. A onda je jedno lito vidija da mu nikor vrše vižitaje. Dojde prin njega i sve ča vridi skupi, a ostavi smo sitnariju.

U prvi čas je mislija da ga kogod iz njegove lučice štucigaje i osta je cilu noć u batelinu sidit i slidit, ma nikor cimu ni odrišija. Konta je ovako - znaju ka' gren i di gren, čekaju koju uru da se riba skupi i onda more bit okolo ponoća, bota, učinu posal.

Jema je Šime vrimena doć do lučice i jušto je vidija di su se vezali. U sić o jupola su ništo nosili, užgali španjulete i vidilo se da su dobre vo'je, a di ne bi bili ka' su na Šimine vrše dnevnicu učinili.

Doša je doma skonšuman, ni zaspat ni moga, osta se na teracu ladit.

- A ča je vazeli smo dan za noć, oli si koju šinjoru naša - štucigaje ga žena ka' se digla popišat.

- Šalin se moj šjor detektiv, onda jesi li lopove uvatija oli je sve to tvoja infišacija. Nikor čovika nemore satrat ka' njegova žena, a ča ćeš najbo'je zna teren, tuče onod di si tanak...

Zete pomozi

Ni me brige moga bi in i ti jedne obilate gradele učinit, to su oni isti momci ča su nas selili. Oću, oću jube moja samo da mi višje vrše nikor ne tiče.
