Da iz nasukanog japanskog bulk carriera Wakashio, koji plovi pod zastavom Paname, nije u more iscurilo više od 1000 tona nafte, havarija ovog broda na Mauricijusu mogla bi se svrstati u rubrike Vjerovali ili ne. Jer, kako inače pojasniti da se moderni brod dužine 300 metara, izgrađen 2007. godine, opremljen svom mogućom tehnologijom, radarima i GPS-om, nasuče na greben Pointe-d'Esny blizu ​pomorskog parka Blue Bay pod zaštitom UNESCO-a? Prema rezultatima istrage, posada je navečer slavila rođendan jednog od pomoraca, pa uopće nisu čuli više upozorenja lokalnih operatera upućenih radiovezom da se nalaze na krivom kursu.
Osim toga, jedan je član posade policiji priznao kako su htjeli biti što bliže obali kako bi uhvatili Wi-Fi signal s kopna radi bolje internetske veze i – valjda – dijeljenja slika s rođendana na društvenim mrežama... Priča je loše završila iako nitko nije ozlijeđen – Wakashio je nasjeo na greben i nakon 13 dana pukao na pola. Dio nafte za pogon je izvađen, ali je dobar dio završio u moru, pa japansku kompaniju Mitsui OSK, kao i kapetana, čeka paprena kazna.

Da iz nasukanog japanskog bulk carriera Wakashio, koji plovi pod zastavom Paname, nije u more iscurilo više od 1000 tona nafte, havarija ovog broda na Mauricijusu mogla bi se svrstati u rubrike Vjerovali ili ne. Jer, kako inače pojasniti da se moderni brod dužine 300 metara, izgrađen 2007. godine, opremljen svom mogućom tehnologijom, radarima i GPS-om, nasuče na greben Pointe-d'Esny blizu ​pomorskog parka Blue Bay pod zaštitom UNESCO-a? Prema rezultatima istrage, posada je navečer slavila rođendan jednog od pomoraca, pa uopće nisu čuli više upozorenja lokalnih operatera upućenih radiovezom da se nalaze na krivom kursu.
Osim toga, jedan je član posade policiji priznao kako su htjeli biti što bliže obali kako bi uhvatili Wi-Fi signal s kopna radi bolje internetske veze i – valjda – dijeljenja slika s rođendana na društvenim mrežama... Priča je loše završila iako nitko nije ozlijeđen – Wakashio je nasjeo na greben i nakon 13 dana pukao na pola. Dio nafte za pogon je izvađen, ali je dobar dio završio u moru, pa japansku kompaniju Mitsui OSK, kao i kapetana, čeka paprena kazna.

Da iz nasukanog japanskog bulk carriera Wakashio, koji plovi pod zastavom Paname, nije u more iscurilo više od 1000 tona nafte, havarija ovog broda na Mauricijusu mogla bi se svrstati u rubrike Vjerovali ili ne. Jer, kako inače pojasniti da se moderni brod dužine 300 metara, izgrađen 2007. godine, opremljen svom mogućom tehnologijom, radarima i GPS-om, nasuče na greben Pointe-d'Esny blizu ​pomorskog parka Blue Bay pod zaštitom UNESCO-a? Prema rezultatima istrage, posada je navečer slavila rođendan jednog od pomoraca, pa uopće nisu čuli više upozorenja lokalnih operatera upućenih radiovezom da se nalaze na krivom kursu.
Osim toga, jedan je član posade policiji priznao kako su htjeli biti što bliže obali kako bi uhvatili Wi-Fi signal s kopna radi bolje internetske veze i – valjda – dijeljenja slika s rođendana na društvenim mrežama... Priča je loše završila iako nitko nije ozlijeđen – Wakashio je nasjeo na greben i nakon 13 dana pukao na pola. Dio nafte za pogon je izvađen, ali je dobar dio završio u moru, pa japansku kompaniju Mitsui OSK, kao i kapetana, čeka paprena kazna.
