Davne 1911. godine u njemačkom je škveru Blohm & Voss u Steinwerderu kod Hamburga za kompaniju F. Laeisz izgrađen jedrenjak s čeličnim trupom nazvan Peking. Ovaj brod klase Flying P-Liner, istisnine 3100 tona, dug 115 i širok 13,89 metara, dugo je plovio na ruti između Europe i Čilea prevozeći salitru i 34 puta je prošao Cape Horn. Od 1920. je promijenio nekoliko vlasnika, a od 1975. nalazio se u pomorskom muzeju South Street Seaport u New Yorku.
Budući da je riječ o njihovu brodu i jednom od četiri preživjela P-Linera na svijetu, Nijemci su ga kupili od Amerikanaca za 100 dolara 2015. godine i onda su ga 2017. na poluuronjivom heavy-lift brodu Combi Dock III transportirali preko Atlantika sve do Brunsbuttela. Taj ih je transfer koštao milijun eura, dok je kompletno renoviranje koštalo dodatnih 38 milijuna eura. No, trud se isplatio pa je stari jedrenjak Peking zasjao punim sjajem i svečano se vratio kući u Hamburg, gdje će biti izložbeni primjerak tamošnjeg Deutsches Hafenmuseuma (Njemački lučki muzej). (Ž. Davne 1911. godine u njemačkom je škveru Blohm & Voss u Steinwerderu kod Hamburga za kompaniju F. Laeisz izgrađen jedrenjak s čeličnim trupom nazvan Peking. Ovaj brod klase Flying P-Liner, istisnine 3100 tona, dug 115 i širok 13,89 metara, dugo je plovio na ruti između Europe i Čilea prevozeći salitru i 34 puta je prošao Cape Horn. Od 1920. je promijenio nekoliko vlasnika, a od 1975. nalazio se u pomorskom muzeju South Street Seaport u New Yorku.
Budući da je riječ o njihovu brodu i jednom od četiri preživjela P-Linera na svijetu, Nijemci su ga kupili od Amerikanaca za 100 dolara 2015. godine i onda su ga 2017. na poluuronjivom heavy-lift brodu Combi Dock III transportirali preko Atlantika sve do Brunsbuttela. Taj ih je transfer koštao milijun eura, dok je kompletno renoviranje koštalo dodatnih 38 milijuna eura. No, trud se isplatio pa je stari jedrenjak Peking zasjao punim sjajem i svečano se vratio kući u Hamburg, gdje će biti izložbeni primjerak tamošnjeg Deutsches Hafenmuseuma (Njemački lučki muzej). (Ž. HAMBURGNakon renoviranja zasjao jedrenjak Peking, klase Flying P-Liner izgrađen 1911. godine

Davne 1911. godine u njemačkom je škveru Blohm & Voss u Steinwerderu kod Hamburga za kompaniju F. Laeisz izgrađen jedrenjak s čeličnim trupom nazvan Peking. Ovaj brod klase Flying P-Liner, istisnine 3100 tona, dug 115 i širok 13,89 metara, dugo je plovio na ruti između Europe i Čilea prevozeći salitru i 34 puta je prošao Cape Horn. Od 1920. je promijenio nekoliko vlasnika, a od 1975. nalazio se u pomorskom muzeju South Street Seaport u New Yorku.
Budući da je riječ o njihovu brodu i jednom od četiri preživjela P-Linera na svijetu, Nijemci su ga kupili od Amerikanaca za 100 dolara 2015. godine i onda su ga 2017. na poluuronjivom heavy-lift brodu Combi Dock III transportirali preko Atlantika sve do Brunsbuttela. Taj ih je transfer koštao milijun eura, dok je kompletno renoviranje koštalo dodatnih 38 milijuna eura. No, trud se isplatio pa je stari jedrenjak Peking zasjao punim sjajem i svečano se vratio kući u Hamburg, gdje će biti izložbeni primjerak tamošnjeg Deutsches Hafenmuseuma (Njemački lučki muzej). (Ž.
