U suradnji s Muzejom betinske drvene brodogradnje umjetnica Matea Šabić Sabljak provodi zanimljivu akciju "Skupljamo čekiće". Matea je diplomirala na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u Zagrebu, a aktivno djeluje i kao istraživačica u svijetu pomorstva, s posebnim naglaskom na ulogu žena u pomorstvu.

U svom ateljeu u Zagrebu, osim što se bavi likovnom umjetnošću, gradi brodice. Prave, plovne brodice, ili, kako ih ona naziva, "utopijskim" brodicama. Zanimljivij je detalj da je jedan iz njene flote brodica napravljen od drvenog materijala skupljenog sa zgrada oštećenih u potresu u Zagrebu 2020. godine.

Ideja o brodicama je začeta odavno i prisutna je u njenom osobnom i profesionalnom angažmanu, učeći i istražujući svijet pomorstva. Istraživanje – koje su to sve žene sudjelovale u po/morskom svijetu kroz povijest do danas, izlažem u vidu intervencija u samu povijest pomorstva kroz pomorske muzeje, kako bi se prateći službenu povijest pomorstva mogla iščitavati i ona paralelna "neslužbena – ženska povijest" koja je isto tako bila prisutna ali "nije bila vidljiva", a čija svjedočanstva su ostala zapisana uglavnom u vidu novinskih zapisa ili objavljenih memoara – kaže Matea.

Projekt BRODI/ONA

Matea je u periodu od 2009. do 2019. godine skupljala iskustva održavajući drveni leut, istraživala ulogu žene u po/morskom svijetu, ali negdje od 2018. godine Matea kreće s projektom BRODI/ONA kroz koji gradi realistične i funkcionalne modele brodova uz pomoć kojih intervenira u svijet pomorskih muzeja suvremenog doba.

Brodice radi većim dijelom od recikliranog drva, koje potom štiti epoxy smolom, a pokreću se korištenjem sinergije čovjeka i prirode, na vesla i jedra, ekološki, ne uzurpirajući okoliš ni bukom ni pogonom, potpuno utopljene u krajolik. Brodice su funkcionalne, plovne, duge su 4,5 m, imaju po 2 jarbola, bordo jedra. Tako je nastala flota posvećena po/morskim junakinjama.

U listopadu se javila betinskom muzeju s inicijativom "Skupljamo čekiće" ili "Svako uzimanje alata u ruke čin je poštenja" kojim poziva na djelovanje za otvaranjem muzeja korčulanske brodogradnje. Naime, već slijedeće godine Korčula će biti dom njenom novom projektu "Bila je jedna…" u okviru kojeg će biti prezentirana cijela dosadašnja flota u čast ženama koje su unatoč zabranama i predrasudama plovile morima, gradile brodove i istraživale morski svijet… Za izložbu na Korčuli sagradit će i devetu brodicu u čast korčulanskoj povijesnoj heroini, koja će se imenovati i porinuti, s korčulanskom kumom.

U suradnji s Muzejom betinske drvene brodogradnje umjetnica Matea Šabić Sabljak provodi zanimljivu akciju "Skupljamo čekiće". Matea je diplomirala na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u Zagrebu, a aktivno djeluje i kao istraživačica u svijetu pomorstva, s posebnim naglaskom na ulogu žena u pomorstvu.

U svom ateljeu u Zagrebu, osim što se bavi likovnom umjetnošću, gradi brodice. Prave, plovne brodice, ili, kako ih ona naziva, "utopijskim" brodicama. Zanimljivij je detalj da je jedan iz njene flote brodica napravljen od drvenog materijala skupljenog sa zgrada oštećenih u potresu u Zagrebu 2020. godine.

Ideja o brodicama je začeta odavno i prisutna je u njenom osobnom i profesionalnom angažmanu, učeći i istražujući svijet pomorstva. Istraživanje – koje su to sve žene sudjelovale u po/morskom svijetu kroz povijest do danas, izlažem u vidu intervencija u samu povijest pomorstva kroz pomorske muzeje, kako bi se prateći službenu povijest pomorstva mogla iščitavati i ona paralelna "neslužbena – ženska povijest" koja je isto tako bila prisutna ali "nije bila vidljiva", a čija svjedočanstva su ostala zapisana uglavnom u vidu novinskih zapisa ili objavljenih memoara – kaže Matea.

Matea je u periodu od 2009. do 2019. godine skupljala iskustva održavajući drveni leut, istraživala ulogu žene u po/morskom svijetu, ali negdje od 2018. godine Matea kreće s projektom BRODI/ONA kroz koji gradi realistične i funkcionalne modele brodova uz pomoć kojih intervenira u svijet pomorskih muzeja suvremenog doba.

Brodice radi većim dijelom od recikliranog drva, koje potom štiti epoxy smolom, a pokreću se korištenjem sinergije čovjeka i prirode, na vesla i jedra, ekološki, ne uzurpirajući okoliš ni bukom ni pogonom, potpuno utopljene u krajolik. Brodice su funkcionalne, plovne, duge su 4,5 m, imaju po 2 jarbola, bordo jedra. Tako je nastala flota posvećena po/morskim junakinjama.

U listopadu se javila betinskom muzeju s inicijativom "Skupljamo čekiće" ili "Svako uzimanje alata u ruke čin je poštenja" kojim poziva na djelovanje za otvaranjem muzeja korčulanske brodogradnje. Naime, već slijedeće godine Korčula će biti dom njenom novom projektu "Bila je jedna…" u okviru kojeg će biti prezentirana cijela dosadašnja flota u čast ženama koje su unatoč zabranama i predrasudama plovile morima, gradile brodove i istraživale morski svijet… Za izložbu na Korčuli sagradit će i devetu brodicu u čast korčulanskoj povijesnoj heroini, koja će se imenovati i porinuti, s korčulanskom kumom.
