– Od svih morskih pasa, mačaka i raža svih vrsta, najukusnija je drhtulja – sjetio sam se riječi mojega barbe Brankota. Zna on šta govori – nekada vrhunski udičar i kogo, ta kuhao je on i na Brijunima. A tamo se uvijek znalo što je dobra spiza.
Kasno ljetno popodne. Sunce nisko, more visoko i kraj dobro izmlaćen valovima maestrala. Kao stvoreno za podvodni ribolov u kraju – šulja i plitka čeka. U more sam ušao u uvali Radočin dol kod Staroga Grada i već do punte imao lijepog cipla i salpu.
U valici iza, pješčano dno i par većih grota, obvezna pozicija za čeku. Dubina tri metra, primjereno za starca poput mene. Liježem i isturim pušku.
Ležeća pratilja
Čekam možda pola minute i tada, polako, elegantnim i sporim zamasima repa, pored mene sleti – velika drhtulja. Legla je na pijesak, gotovo na dodir mojega desnog lakta. Malo se promeškoljila kako bi pijesak pao na nju i umiri se. Viđao sam drhtulje već nekoliko puta, ali su uvijek bile male, do kila, ali ova ima barem tri kila.
Iz nekog, samo njoj znanog razloga, doplivala je i legla pored mene. Više i ne gledam preda se nego uživam promatrajući ovo neobično morsko biće.
Ne mogu niti zamisliti što joj ovo znači!? Potpuno je mirna i samo povremeno pomakne očima. Malo odmaknem ruku i dodirnem je laktom. Malo se opet promeškoljila i ostala na mjestu, dodavši još malo pijeska na svojim krilima.
Moje vrijeme na dnu je isteklo, odgurnem se lijevom rukom i polako izronim netremice je promatrajući. Nije se niti pomakla.
Nastavljam s plivanjem uz obalu i nakon tridesetak metara ponovno zaranjam i radim čeku na sljedećoj uobičajenoj poziciji. Već nakon desetak sekundi se prvo pokaže pa prema meni krene lijepa komarča.
U tome trenutku s desne strane priđe, preleti me te sleti lijevo uza mene moja drhtulja. Od oduševljenja sam zaboravio i na komarču i na lov.
Uz bok neprijatelju
Za razliku od drugih ražovki drhtulja ima prilično veliku repnu peraju te pliva pokretima repa, a ne pokretima krila poput goluba. Pedeset godina se bavim podvodnim ribolovom i ronio sam po čitavom Jadranu. Vidio sam morsku kornjaču, dupine, tune... ali ovo je nešto drukčije.
Promatram je i pitam se koliko je stara? Kako li je preživjela kilometre mreža, parangale, koće? Koliko li je potomaka ostavila? I sad legne na dno pored svoga najvećeg neprijatelja – čovjeka!
Izranjam i bacivši zadnji pogled na moju drhtulju, krećem lagano plivajući natrag. Od lova danas više nema ništa. Preplavljuju me čudne emocije. Zabrinut sam za nju. Možda sam pogriješio, možda sam je trebao uplašiti i otjerati.
Možda lagano nabosti strelicom, tek toliko da joj dam straha i da više nikada ne učini ovakvu glupost. Da se nauči bojati čovjeka. Tog strašnog Čovjeka.

– Od svih morskih pasa, mačaka i raža svih vrsta, najukusnija je drhtulja – sjetio sam se riječi mojega barbe Brankota. Zna on šta govori – nekada vrhunski udičar i kogo, ta kuhao je on i na Brijunima. A tamo se uvijek znalo što je dobra spiza.
Kasno ljetno popodne. Sunce nisko, more visoko i kraj dobro izmlaćen valovima maestrala. Kao stvoreno za podvodni ribolov u kraju – šulja i plitka čeka. U more sam ušao u uvali Radočin dol kod Staroga Grada i već do punte imao lijepog cipla i salpu.
U valici iza, pješčano dno i par većih grota, obvezna pozicija za čeku. Dubina tri metra, primjereno za starca poput mene. Liježem i isturim pušku.
Ležeća pratilja
Čekam možda pola minute i tada, polako, elegantnim i sporim zamasima repa, pored mene sleti – velika drhtulja. Legla je na pijesak, gotovo na dodir mojega desnog lakta. Malo se promeškoljila kako bi pijesak pao na nju i umiri se. Viđao sam drhtulje već nekoliko puta, ali su uvijek bile male, do kila, ali ova ima barem tri kila.
Iz nekog, samo njoj znanog razloga, doplivala je i legla pored mene. Više i ne gledam preda se nego uživam promatrajući ovo neobično morsko biće.
Ne mogu niti zamisliti što joj ovo znači!? Potpuno je mirna i samo povremeno pomakne očima. Malo odmaknem ruku i dodirnem je laktom. Malo se opet promeškoljila i ostala na mjestu, dodavši još malo pijeska na svojim krilima.
Moje vrijeme na dnu je isteklo, odgurnem se lijevom rukom i polako izronim netremice je promatrajući. Nije se niti pomakla.
Nastavljam s plivanjem uz obalu i nakon tridesetak metara ponovno zaranjam i radim čeku na sljedećoj uobičajenoj poziciji. Već nakon desetak sekundi se prvo pokaže pa prema meni krene lijepa komarča.
U tome trenutku s desne strane priđe, preleti me te sleti lijevo uza mene moja drhtulja. Od oduševljenja sam zaboravio i na komarču i na lov.
Uz bok neprijatelju
Za razliku od drugih ražovki drhtulja ima prilično veliku repnu peraju te pliva pokretima repa, a ne pokretima krila poput goluba. Pedeset godina se bavim podvodnim ribolovom i ronio sam po čitavom Jadranu. Vidio sam morsku kornjaču, dupine, tune... ali ovo je nešto drukčije.
Promatram je i pitam se koliko je stara? Kako li je preživjela kilometre mreža, parangale, koće? Koliko li je potomaka ostavila? I sad legne na dno pored svoga najvećeg neprijatelja – čovjeka!
Izranjam i bacivši zadnji pogled na moju drhtulju, krećem lagano plivajući natrag. Od lova danas više nema ništa. Preplavljuju me čudne emocije. Zabrinut sam za nju. Možda sam pogriješio, možda sam je trebao uplašiti i otjerati.
Možda lagano nabosti strelicom, tek toliko da joj dam straha i da više nikada ne učini ovakvu glupost. Da se nauči bojati čovjeka. Tog strašnog Čovjeka.
