Među panulašima i spinnerima postoji cijeli niz tajnih čvorova koji garantiraju savršenu akciju varalica, uz gotovo nepromijenjenu nosivost osnovne strune.

Naravno, većina je tih čvorova tek varijacija na osnovne, no ipak se dogodi da među njima iskoči poneki pažnje vrijedan.

Upravo je takav slučaj i s ovim Homer Rhode čvorom, koji mnogi nazivaju i sigurni čvor.

Formiranje je vrlo jednostavno, a primjenjiv je kod vezivanja svih varalica kao i većine spojnih elemenata s okom.

Ovaj čvor omogućuje slobodan hod vezanog elementa, te je kao takav pogodan i za vezivanje popularnih samoubadajućih circle hook udica.
