Upredenica je struna koja ima jako puno prednosti, ali i mana. Jedna od najvećih mana je njezina nerazmrsivost do koje može doći iz puno različitih razloga. Jedan je svakako loše odrađeno namotavanje na rolu.

Mnogi proizvođači strune namataju na kaleme na poseban način, tako da je optimalno skidanje strune s kalema moguće postići samo ako se struna namata tako da silazi samo s jedne, prave strane kalema.

Zbog toga se često na tim pogrešnim suprotnim stranama kalema mogu uočiti izdanci ili utori za koje struna u odmatanju zapinje, čime se zapravo na vrlo konkretan način sugerira ispravan položaj kalema u prebacivanju strune na rolu.

Zbog takvih poteškoća mnogi ribolovci strune, a posebno upredenice, namataju udvoje, i to tako da jedan pridržava kalem dok drugi namata.

Pritom se kalem u pravilu pridržava tako da se olovkom, štapićem ili nekim drugim sličnim predmetom probuši etiketa na sredini kalema, pa se pridržavajući kalem s bočnih strana održava potrebna napetost kako bi se upredenica na roli što kvalitetnije posložila.

No, često se dogodi da smo prisiljeni namotati upredenicu na rolu bez ičije pomoći, a tada nam u većini slučajeva kalem skače po sobi petljajući se oko nogu stolova i stolica, dovodeći nas u kratkom vremenu na rub sloma živaca.

A razloga za takvu nervozu zapravo nema, jer je tom problemu vrlo jednostavno doskočiti. Dovoljno je kalem staviti u kakvu prikladnu kutiju, poput kutije od role ili cipela, te na poklopcu kutije izbušiti otvor širine desetak milimetara kroz koji se struna izvuče, nakon čega namatanje može početi.

Pri namatanju je idealno upredenicu zadržavati između palca i kažiprsta ruke kojom držimo štap, i to neposredno ispod prvog, najšireg, provodnika. Na taj način ćemo osigurati pravilno namatanje uz neophodnu napetost strune, bez neželjenih labavih namotaja.

Kalem će za to vrijeme u kutiji poskakivati, ali se neće moći nikamo otkotrljati, pa će eventualno sukanje biti svedeno na minimum, jer se kalem nakon par poskakivanja u pravilu sam postavi u pravi položaj.

​POSUDA S VODOM

Pojedini ribolovci prakticiraju potapanje kalema u posudu s vodom, odakle ga namotaju na rolu. I premda takav način onemogućuje njegovo neželjeno skakanje, upredenica nakon takvog tretmana ostaje mokra, čak i ako deklarativno ne pije vodu. Mokra površina strune rezultira, pak, time da i kompletni namotaji ostaju vlažni dulje vrijeme, što nije poželjno.

No, bez obzira na kakav se način i pristup u namatanju odlučili, važno je da obratite pažnju na to kako je kalem na roli obrađen, odnosno ima li površina na koju naliježe struna gumiranu podlogu.

Ako na kalemu nema nikakve gumirane podloge, tada je prije namatanja uprednice potrebno namotati dvadesetak metara najlonskog monofila koji će spriječiti da se kompletan namotaj upredenice pod opterećenjem ne okreće oko kalema role.

Ako postoji gumena podloga, tada podnamatanje najlonskim monofilom nije potrebno, već se upredenica može namatati direktno na kalem.

Upredenica je struna koja ima jako puno prednosti, ali i mana. Jedna od najvećih mana je njezina nerazmrsivost do koje može doći iz puno različitih razloga. Jedan je svakako loše odrađeno namotavanje na rolu.

Mnogi proizvođači strune namataju na kaleme na poseban način, tako da je optimalno skidanje strune s kalema moguće postići samo ako se struna namata tako da silazi samo s jedne, prave strane kalema.

Zbog toga se često na tim pogrešnim suprotnim stranama kalema mogu uočiti izdanci ili utori za koje struna u odmatanju zapinje, čime se zapravo na vrlo konkretan način sugerira ispravan položaj kalema u prebacivanju strune na rolu.

Zbog takvih poteškoća mnogi ribolovci strune, a posebno upredenice, namataju udvoje, i to tako da jedan pridržava kalem dok drugi namata.

Pritom se kalem u pravilu pridržava tako da se olovkom, štapićem ili nekim drugim sličnim predmetom probuši etiketa na sredini kalema, pa se pridržavajući kalem s bočnih strana održava potrebna napetost kako bi se upredenica na roli što kvalitetnije posložila.

No, često se dogodi da smo prisiljeni namotati upredenicu na rolu bez ičije pomoći, a tada nam u većini slučajeva kalem skače po sobi petljajući se oko nogu stolova i stolica, dovodeći nas u kratkom vremenu na rub sloma živaca.

A razloga za takvu nervozu zapravo nema, jer je tom problemu vrlo jednostavno doskočiti. Dovoljno je kalem staviti u kakvu prikladnu kutiju, poput kutije od role ili cipela, te na poklopcu kutije izbušiti otvor širine desetak milimetara kroz koji se struna izvuče, nakon čega namatanje može početi.

Pri namatanju je idealno upredenicu zadržavati između palca i kažiprsta ruke kojom držimo štap, i to neposredno ispod prvog, najšireg, provodnika. Na taj način ćemo osigurati pravilno namatanje uz neophodnu napetost strune, bez neželjenih labavih namotaja.

Kalem će za to vrijeme u kutiji poskakivati, ali se neće moći nikamo otkotrljati, pa će eventualno sukanje biti svedeno na minimum, jer se kalem nakon par poskakivanja u pravilu sam postavi u pravi položaj.

​POSUDA S VODOM

Pojedini ribolovci prakticiraju potapanje kalema u posudu s vodom, odakle ga namotaju na rolu. I premda takav način onemogućuje njegovo neželjeno skakanje, upredenica nakon takvog tretmana ostaje mokra, čak i ako deklarativno ne pije vodu. Mokra površina strune rezultira, pak, time da i kompletni namotaji ostaju vlažni dulje vrijeme, što nije poželjno.

No, bez obzira na kakav se način i pristup u namatanju odlučili, važno je da obratite pažnju na to kako je kalem na roli obrađen, odnosno ima li površina na koju naliježe struna gumiranu podlogu.

Ako na kalemu nema nikakve gumirane podloge, tada je prije namatanja uprednice potrebno namotati dvadesetak metara najlonskog monofila koji će spriječiti da se kompletan namotaj upredenice pod opterećenjem ne okreće oko kalema role.

Ako postoji gumena podloga, tada podnamatanje najlonskim monofilom nije potrebno, već se upredenica može namatati direktno na kalem.
