Vodik je zasad izgubio bitku sa strujom u cestovnom prijevozu, no na moru bi stvari mogle biti drugačije, ne samo zbog toga što se voda i vodik nekako bolje slažu.

Za stabilitet broda dodatna težina je često nužna tako da teški spremnici vodika nimalo neće utjecati na performanse, a vrijeme nadopunjavanja je desetorostruko, ako ne i stostruko brže nego vraćanje elektrona u baterije.

Pod uvjetom da se vodik dobije elektrolizom iz energije vjetra, sunca ili hidroelektrane on ne ostavlja karbonski otisak i stoga je pogodan za obilato EU subvencionirane projekte zelenog pogona.

Upravo takva sudbina čeka stari katamaran Komiza, inače aerodromski shuttle od Resnika do centra Splita, koji će po zamisli investitora Juroslava Buljubašića i prof. Frane Barbira, postati prvi europski putnički brod na vodik o čemu opširno piše novi broj Otvorenog mora.

Rekonstrukcija 60 godina staroga glisera Bertram također je zanimljiv projekt iz novoga broja magazina, u režiji njemačko-hrvatskih zaljubljenika u oldtimere.

Vodik je zasad izgubio bitku sa strujom u cestovnom prijevozu, no na moru bi stvari mogle biti drugačije, ne samo zbog toga što se voda i vodik nekako bolje slažu.

Za stabilitet broda dodatna težina je često nužna tako da teški spremnici vodika nimalo neće utjecati na performanse, a vrijeme nadopunjavanja je desetorostruko, ako ne i stostruko brže nego vraćanje elektrona u baterije.

Pod uvjetom da se vodik dobije elektrolizom iz energije vjetra, sunca ili hidroelektrane on ne ostavlja karbonski otisak i stoga je pogodan za obilato EU subvencionirane projekte zelenog pogona.

Upravo takva sudbina čeka stari katamaran Komiza, inače aerodromski shuttle od Resnika do centra Splita, koji će po zamisli investitora Juroslava Buljubašića i prof. Frane Barbira, postati prvi europski putnički brod na vodik o čemu opširno piše novi broj Otvorenog mora.

Rekonstrukcija 60 godina staroga glisera Bertram također je zanimljiv projekt iz novoga broja magazina, u režiji njemačko-hrvatskih zaljubljenika u oldtimere.
