U prosincu 1970. na jadranskome groblju brodova skončao je i danas posve zaboravljeni ribarski brod Komiža. Njegovi blizanci Nekton i Nemirna pak plove i danas kao da su u najboljim godina.

Sva su tri broda izgrađena u ljeto 1947. u brodogradilištu Odenbach Shipbuilding Co. u gradiću Greece u državi New York, kanalom spojenim s jezerom Ontario. Naručila ih je UNRRA, Agencija Ujedinjenih naroda za pomoć i obnovu, te dodijelila Jugoslaviji.

Ti čvrsti brodovi, dugi tek 25 i široki sedam metara, s dizelskim strojevima Enterprise od 250 KS, bez teškoća su preplovili Atlantik i stigli u Jadran.

Jedan je dodijeljen Institutu za oceanografiju i ribarstvo iz Splita, dobio je ime Hvar, te je opremljen kao znanstveno-istraživački brod. 'Ekspedicija Hvar' trajala je 1948. i 1949. godine, a svojim je dosezima osigurala posebno mjesto u povijest istraživanja mora.

Brod je 1949. prepušten Ribolovnom poduzeću 'Jadran', nazvan je Nekton i pod tim imenom plovi i sada.

Drugi brod je po dolasku u Jugoslaviju nazvan Orjen, a dodijeljen je ribarskom poduzeću iz Budve. Kasnije se zvao i Miločer, a 1968. i on je preuređen za znanstvena istraživanja mora pod imenom Nemirna. Danas Nemirna lovi plavu ribu u floti Sardine iz Postira.

Oba su ta broda imala vrlo buran život, (pre)često su mijenjali vlasnike, Nekton je čak bio poslan u Sveti Kajo, no nakon tri godine umiranja novi su mu život udahnuli Lovišćani.

A Komiža? I taj je brod dodijeljen Ribolovnom poduzeću 'Jadran', dobio je ime Vis, ali je pod njim brodio nepunih godinu dana.

Posebno je zanimljivo napomenuti da je Komiža, zajedno sa Skušom, bila posuđena Brodospasu 1953. godine za veliki posao u Grčkoj. Brod je već u prosincu 1970. poslan u Sveti Kajo, pa je ostalo nejasno zašto se splitsko poduzeće odreklo još novoga i nadasve kvalitetnoga broda.

U prosincu 1970. na jadranskome groblju brodova skončao je i danas posve zaboravljeni ribarski brod Komiža. Njegovi blizanci Nekton i Nemirna pak plove i danas kao da su u najboljim godina.

Sva su tri broda izgrađena u ljeto 1947. u brodogradilištu Odenbach Shipbuilding Co. u gradiću Greece u državi New York, kanalom spojenim s jezerom Ontario. Naručila ih je UNRRA, Agencija Ujedinjenih naroda za pomoć i obnovu, te dodijelila Jugoslaviji.

Ti čvrsti brodovi, dugi tek 25 i široki sedam metara, s dizelskim strojevima Enterprise od 250 KS, bez teškoća su preplovili Atlantik i stigli u Jadran.

Jedan je dodijeljen Institutu za oceanografiju i ribarstvo iz Splita, dobio je ime Hvar, te je opremljen kao znanstveno-istraživački brod. 'Ekspedicija Hvar' trajala je 1948. i 1949. godine, a svojim je dosezima osigurala posebno mjesto u povijest istraživanja mora.

Brod je 1949. prepušten Ribolovnom poduzeću 'Jadran', nazvan je Nekton i pod tim imenom plovi i sada.

Drugi brod je po dolasku u Jugoslaviju nazvan Orjen, a dodijeljen je ribarskom poduzeću iz Budve. Kasnije se zvao i Miločer, a 1968. i on je preuređen za znanstvena istraživanja mora pod imenom Nemirna. Danas Nemirna lovi plavu ribu u floti Sardine iz Postira.

Oba su ta broda imala vrlo buran život, (pre)često su mijenjali vlasnike, Nekton je čak bio poslan u Sveti Kajo, no nakon tri godine umiranja novi su mu život udahnuli Lovišćani.

A Komiža? I taj je brod dodijeljen Ribolovnom poduzeću 'Jadran', dobio je ime Vis, ali je pod njim brodio nepunih godinu dana.

Posebno je zanimljivo napomenuti da je Komiža, zajedno sa Skušom, bila posuđena Brodospasu 1953. godine za veliki posao u Grčkoj. Brod je već u prosincu 1970. poslan u Sveti Kajo, pa je ostalo nejasno zašto se splitsko poduzeće odreklo još novoga i nadasve kvalitetnoga broda.

NEPRAVEDNO OTPISANA?Bez teškoća je prešla Atlantik, a njeni blizanci plove i danas kao da su u najboljim godinama. Zašto je splitsko poduzeće ‘Komižu‘ poslalo na groblje brodova?

U prosincu 1970. na jadranskome groblju brodova skončao je i danas posve zaboravljeni ribarski brod Komiža. Njegovi blizanci Nekton i Nemirna pak plove i danas kao da su u najboljim godina.

Sva su tri broda izgrađena u ljeto 1947. u brodogradilištu Odenbach Shipbuilding Co. u gradiću Greece u državi New York, kanalom spojenim s jezerom Ontario. Naručila ih je UNRRA, Agencija Ujedinjenih naroda za pomoć i obnovu, te dodijelila Jugoslaviji.

Ti čvrsti brodovi, dugi tek 25 i široki sedam metara, s dizelskim strojevima Enterprise od 250 KS, bez teškoća su preplovili Atlantik i stigli u Jadran.

Jedan je dodijeljen Institutu za oceanografiju i ribarstvo iz Splita, dobio je ime Hvar, te je opremljen kao znanstveno-istraživački brod. 'Ekspedicija Hvar' trajala je 1948. i 1949....
