Sveti Patrik, irski nacionalni praznik koji se obilježava diljem svijeta danas prolazi u sjeni koronavirusa. U suvremeno doba ovaj dan obilježava se brojnim paradama, najpoznatije su one u Dublinu i New Yorku, uz neizostavno ispijanje velikih količina piva.

Ovo je blagdan čija je proslava ušla u tradicije mnogih zemalja što zbog velike irske emigracije, što zbog ljudi koji žele proslaviti proljeće i simpatiziraju irske običaje.

Ipak, ovaj utorak izostala je neizostavna parada, ali i mnogobrojna javna okupljanja zbog koronavirusa.

U trenutku pisanja ovoga teksta u Irskoj je potvrđeno ukupno 292 slučaja zaraženih koronavirusom. Zbog širenja virusa život je i u Irskoj 'usporio'. Škole i vrtići su zatvoreni, uvedene mjere zaštite, a kako to sve podnose Irci, posebice na nacionalni praznik ispričao nam je Josip Družijanić, koji je prije nekoliko mjeseci sa suprugom Alejandrom iz Hrvatske otišao u Irsku, u gradić Bray, regija Wicklow, na sat vremena od Dublina. 

Ovaj 28-godišnji Splićanin, koji se i sam privikava na novonastale okolnosti, a inače kao 'Assistant Manager' radi u lancu trgovina Centra, priča nam ovako:

- A sve parade su odgođene. Koronavirus glavna je preokupacija kod ljudi. Ulice su puste, nigdje skoro pa nikoga, jedino se po trgovinama primjećuje veći broj ljudi. Zabrinuti su, ali ostao je onaj 'irski osmijeh'. Sarkastično spominju kako je najsretniji dan u godini odjednom postao i najtužniji - kaže Josip.

Brojni Irci baš su zadnjih dana uzimali i godišnje, jer se Sv. Patrik veže uz, pojašnjava Josip, 'Bank holiday' i danas je neradni dan pa su 'spojili' od prošlog petka do danas.

- Strah je prisutan, ali većina ih je, mislim ozbiljno shvatila ozbiljnost situacije. Od sutra, srijede, trgovine uvode nova pravila.  Krećemo sa ograničenim istovremenim brojem ljudi u trgovini, drugim riječima, kad se dućan popuni zatvaramo, dok njih nekoliko ne obavi svoj šoping. Ostali čekaju vani, u redu, uz metar razmaka - priča Splićanin.

Uz obveznu opremu za djelatnike - rukavice te dezinfekcijsko sredstvo ali i dezinfekcijsko sredstvo na ulazu - za kupce, kaže.

Šefovi su napravili sve što je moguće da se zaštiti kupci i osoblje.

- I na radiju svako toliko obavještavaju građane kako se ponašati u trgovini u ovoj novonastaloj situaciji - kazuje nam Josip.

Rizik u trgovinama je veliki, no ipak mogu raditi, pojašnjava. Prima plaću, za razliku od velikog broja ljudi koji su doslovce do jučer radili po pubovima ili recimo hotelima. Sada ih je dočekala surova realnost, dobili su otkaze. Iako će od države tjedno imati oko 300 eura, to je malo, veli Josip - ni blizu prosječne mjesečne plaće.

Police se u njegovoj, ali i ostalim obližnjim trgovinama, kako se i sam u to uvjerio, polako prazne.

- Toaletni papir recimo u ponedjeljak nestao je u roku od dva sata, ponuda ne prati potražnju, isto je, vidio sam i kod nas - kroz smijeh će Josip.

No prazne su i police s alkoholom jer, iako je 'službeni Patrik' ove godine propao, Irci će ga, kaže Josip, ipak proslaviti.

Neće se feštati po pubovima i na ulici, ali zato hoće doma, kućne zabave upravo su počele. Ne daju se oni, naravno, uvijek uz dozu opreza, ali i uz votku i gin, viski i naravno neizostavno pivo - Irci ipak današnji dan ne mogu propustiti, zaključuje.

Sveti Patrik, irski nacionalni praznik koji se obilježava diljem svijeta danas prolazi u sjeni koronavirusa. U suvremeno doba ovaj dan obilježava se brojnim paradama, najpoznatije su one u Dublinu i New Yorku, uz neizostavno ispijanje velikih količina piva.

Ovo je blagdan čija je proslava ušla u tradicije mnogih zemalja što zbog velike irske emigracije, što zbog ljudi koji žele proslaviti proljeće i simpatiziraju irske običaje.

Ipak, ovaj utorak izostala je neizostavna parada, ali i mnogobrojna javna okupljanja zbog koronavirusa.

U trenutku pisanja ovoga teksta u Irskoj je potvrđeno ukupno 292 slučaja zaraženih koronavirusom. Zbog širenja virusa život je i u Irskoj 'usporio'. Škole i vrtići su zatvoreni, uvedene mjere zaštite, a kako to sve podnose Irci, posebice na nacionalni praznik ispričao nam je Josip Družijanić, koji je prije nekoliko mjeseci sa suprugom Alejandrom iz Hrvatske otišao u Irsku, u gradić Bray, regija Wicklow, na sat vremena od Dublina. 

Ovaj 28-godišnji Splićanin, koji se i sam privikava na novonastale okolnosti, a inače kao 'Assistant Manager' radi u lancu trgovina Centra, priča nam ovako:

- A sve parade su odgođene. Koronavirus glavna je preokupacija kod ljudi. Ulice su puste, nigdje skoro pa nikoga, jedino se po trgovinama primjećuje veći broj ljudi. Zabrinuti su, ali ostao je onaj 'irski osmijeh'. Sarkastično spominju kako je najsretniji dan u godini odjednom postao i najtužniji - kaže Josip.

Brojni Irci baš su zadnjih dana uzimali i godišnje, jer se Sv. Patrik veže uz, pojašnjava Josip, 'Bank holiday' i danas je neradni dan pa su 'spojili' od prošlog petka do danas.

- Strah je prisutan, ali većina ih je, mislim ozbiljno shvatila ozbiljnost situacije. Od sutra, srijede, trgovine uvode nova pravila.  Krećemo sa ograničenim istovremenim brojem ljudi u trgovini, drugim riječima, kad se dućan popuni zatvaramo, dok njih nekoliko ne obavi svoj šoping. Ostali čekaju vani, u redu, uz metar razmaka - priča Splićanin.

Uz obveznu opremu za djelatnike - rukavice te dezinfekcijsko sredstvo ali i dezinfekcijsko sredstvo na ulazu - za kupce, kaže.

Šefovi su napravili sve što je moguće da se zaštiti kupci i osoblje.

- I na radiju svako toliko obavještavaju građane kako se ponašati u trgovini u ovoj novonastaloj situaciji - kazuje nam Josip.

Rizik u trgovinama je veliki, no ipak mogu raditi, pojašnjava. Prima plaću, za razliku od velikog broja ljudi koji su doslovce do jučer radili po pubovima ili recimo hotelima. Sada ih je dočekala surova realnost, dobili su otkaze. Iako će od države tjedno imati oko 300 eura, to je malo, veli Josip - ni blizu prosječne mjesečne plaće.

Police se u njegovoj, ali i ostalim obližnjim trgovinama, kako se i sam u to uvjerio, polako prazne.

- Toaletni papir recimo u ponedjeljak nestao je u roku od dva sata, ponuda ne prati potražnju, isto je, vidio sam i kod nas - kroz smijeh će Josip.

No prazne su i police s alkoholom jer, iako je 'službeni Patrik' ove godine propao, Irci će ga, kaže Josip, ipak proslaviti.

Neće se feštati po pubovima i na ulici, ali zato hoće doma, kućne zabave upravo su počele. Ne daju se oni, naravno, uvijek uz dozu opreza, ali i uz votku i gin, viski i naravno neizostavno pivo - Irci ipak današnji dan ne mogu propustiti, zaključuje.

Sveti Patrik, irski nacionalni praznik koji se obilježava diljem svijeta danas prolazi u sjeni koronavirusa. U suvremeno doba ovaj dan obilježava se brojnim paradama, najpoznatije su one u Dublinu i New Yorku, uz neizostavno ispijanje velikih količina piva.

Ovo je blagdan čija je proslava ušla u tradicije mnogih zemalja što zbog velike irske emigracije, što zbog ljudi koji žele proslaviti proljeće i simpatiziraju irske običaje.

Ipak, ovaj utorak izostala je neizostavna parada, ali i mnogobrojna javna okupljanja zbog koronavirusa.

U trenutku pisanja ovoga teksta u Irskoj je potvrđeno ukupno 292 slučaja zaraženih koronavirusom. Zbog širenja virusa život je i u Irskoj 'usporio'. Škole i vrtići su zatvoreni, uvedene mjere zaštite, a kako to sve podnose Irci, posebice na...
