Znanstvenici su se pohvalili kako su korak bliže u potrazi za transformacijom paukovog otrova u lijek za erektilnu disfunkciju. Kako prenosi Daily Mail, brazilski lutajući pauk (Phoneutria nigriventer), jedan je od najopasnijih za ljude zbog jačine svog otrova, no jedan njegov aspekt već desetljećima izaziva golemu znatiželju u znanstvenim redovima, prenosi Jutarnji list.
Naime, ugriz ovoga pauka uzrokuje jaku bol i upalu, gubitak kontrole mišića i probleme s disanjem, rizik od paralize i eventualnog gušenja bez liječenja, no ispostavilo se i da muškarci koji su ugrizeni mogu doživjeti neželjene erekcije koje traju satima.

Zato znanstvenici sad planiraju pokrenuti najnovija klinička ispitivanja kako bi testirali može li otrov doista biti novi tretman za erektilnu disfunkciju.
Sudionici istraživanja će, naime, dobiti jednu komponentu otrova za koju znanstvenici vjeruju da uzrokuje bizarnu nuspojavu. Nazvan BZ371A, spomenuti dio otrova potiče protok krvi kroz tijelo. To u prirodi ugriz ovog pauka čini smrtonosnijim jer se njegov otrov brže širi kroz tijelo. Ali ako se uspije izolirati samo taj jedan potreban dio, to bi moglo dati nadu milijunima muškaraca koji pate od erektilne disfunkcije.
Istraživači s Federalnog sveučilišta Minas Gerais u Brazilu već su dovršili prvu fazu sigurnosnog ispitivanja BZ371A za muškarce i žene. Odvojeni pilot test proveden na muškarcima i ženama otkrio je kako je lokalna primjena dijela otrova rezultirala povećanjem protoka krvi u primijenjenom području, što je muškarcima znatno olakšalo erekciju.

Istraživači sad planiraju obaviti novo ispitivanje na muškarcima koji su bili podvrgnuti kirurškom uklanjanju prostate zbog raka. Ti pacijenti često pate od erektilne disfunkcije. Iako lijekovi za taj problem već postoje, a najpoznatiji je Viagra, njih ne mogu uzimati svi muškarci.
Erektilna disfunkcija česta je kod muškaraca, osobito onih starijih od 40 godina. Ima različite uzroke, a najčešći su stres, umor, previše alkohola ili nuspojava nekih lijekova.
Znanstvenici se također nadaju kako će u budućnosti ispitati i može li se BZ371A koristiti za pomoć ženama koje pate od seksualne disfunkcije.

Znanstvenici su se pohvalili kako su korak bliže u potrazi za transformacijom paukovog otrova u lijek za erektilnu disfunkciju. Kako prenosi Daily Mail, brazilski lutajući pauk (Phoneutria nigriventer), jedan je od najopasnijih za ljude zbog jačine svog otrova, no jedan njegov aspekt već desetljećima izaziva golemu znatiželju u znanstvenim redovima, prenosi Jutarnji list.
Naime, ugriz ovoga pauka uzrokuje jaku bol i upalu, gubitak kontrole mišića i probleme s disanjem, rizik od paralize i eventualnog gušenja bez liječenja, no ispostavilo se i da muškarci koji su ugrizeni mogu doživjeti neželjene erekcije koje traju satima.

Zato znanstvenici sad planiraju pokrenuti najnovija klinička ispitivanja kako bi testirali može li otrov doista biti novi tretman za erektilnu disfunkciju.
Sudionici istraživanja će, naime, dobiti jednu komponentu otrova za koju znanstvenici vjeruju da uzrokuje bizarnu nuspojavu. Nazvan BZ371A, spomenuti dio otrova potiče protok krvi kroz tijelo. To u prirodi ugriz ovog pauka čini smrtonosnijim jer se njegov otrov brže širi kroz tijelo. Ali ako se uspije izolirati samo taj jedan potreban dio, to bi moglo dati nadu milijunima muškaraca koji pate od erektilne disfunkcije.
Istraživači s Federalnog sveučilišta Minas Gerais u Brazilu već su dovršili prvu fazu sigurnosnog ispitivanja BZ371A za muškarce i žene. Odvojeni pilot test proveden na muškarcima i ženama otkrio je kako je lokalna primjena dijela otrova rezultirala povećanjem protoka krvi u primijenjenom području, što je muškarcima znatno olakšalo erekciju.
Možda može pomoći i ženama
- Evo zašto se naša fauna mora očuvati - ona je neiscrpan izvor bioaktivnih molekula, a mi još ne znamo niti za 1 posto tog potencijala - rekla je profesorica Maria Elena de Lima, stručnjakinja za biokemiju na Federalnom sveučilištu Minas Gerais.
Istraživači sad planiraju obaviti novo ispitivanje na muškarcima koji su bili podvrgnuti kirurškom uklanjanju prostate zbog raka. Ti pacijenti često pate od erektilne disfunkcije. Iako lijekovi za taj problem već postoje, a najpoznatiji je Viagra, njih ne mogu uzimati svi muškarci.
Erektilna disfunkcija česta je kod muškaraca, osobito onih starijih od 40 godina. Ima različite uzroke, a najčešći su stres, umor, previše alkohola ili nuspojava nekih lijekova.
Znanstvenici se također nadaju kako će u budućnosti ispitati i može li se BZ371A koristiti za pomoć ženama koje pate od seksualne disfunkcije.
