Bogati Saudijci preko platformi za online trgovinu prodaju i kupuju kućne pomoćnice i drugu poslugu.

"Radit će vam dan i noć, ne treba joj odmor", hvali Saudijka Nura 23-godišnju sluškinju iz Ugande. Ako pogriješi, samo je pošaljite u njezinu sobu i ne puštajte ju van, savjetuje Nura potencijalnog kupca. Cijena? 4000 eura.

Novinar britanskog Timesa lažno se predstavio kao zainteresirani kupac, kako bi istražio robovlasničko tržište radnom snagom u Saudijskoj Arabiji.

Mogu je večeras odvesti k vama, kaže mu Nura. "Ako i dalje ne budete sigurni, nema problema, umjesto toga možete je unajmiti. Ali recite mi to sad, jer do sutra će je kupiti netko drugi", rekla mu je bogata Saudijka.

Nura je oglasila prodaju sluškinje na Haraj.sa, najvećoj internetskoj trgovini Saudijske Arabije, piše Jutarnji.

Timesova istraga je pokazala da se preko Haraj.sa trguje stotinama kućnih pomoćnica, i prodaje ih se onima koji najviše ponude.

Na desetke oglasa

Građani Saudijske Arabije svaki dan objavljuju desetke oglasa u kojima nude imigrantske radnike i radnice kao spremačice, čistačice, dadilje i vozače, piše Times.

Mobilna aplikacija Haraj.sa lani je imala 2,5 milijuna posjeta - više od Amazona ili AliExpressa u Saudijskoj Arabiji. Zna se da se preko te aplikacije prodaju ljudi, UN-ovi posebni izvjestitelji još su je 2020. kritizirali zbog olakšavanja modernog ropstva, no Times upozorava da je usprkos tome još uvijek dostupna u internetskim trgovinama Apple i Google Play.

Nura je praktično vlasnica svoje sluškinje iz Ugande.

Ona drži njezinu putovnicu godinu dana, od dana kad ju je zaposlila, kad je djevojka stigla u njen dom preko agencije za zapošljavanje u Ugandi.

I ostali Saudijci koji su preko platforme prodavali migrantske radnike priznali su novinarima Timesa da drže njihove putovnice u sefu. Dvoje je priznalo da su fizički disciplinirali svoje radnike ako su im "uzvratili", a deseci ih očekuju da njihove sluškinje rade dan i noć za samo 60 kuna dnevno.

Zadržavanje osobnih dokumenata radnika predstavlja kršenje ljudskih prava i pokazatelj je prisilnog rada i zlostavljanja, podsjeća londonski list.

Na pitanje zašto je prodala svoju sluškinju, Nura odgovara: "Ona je dobra čistačica i kuharica, ali ne može čuvati moje dijete. Baka mi je bolesna, pa mi je hitno potreban novac."

Saudijska Arabija treća je država na svijetu po veličini migrantske populacije.

Strani radnici tu mogu živjeti i raditi kroz sustav Kafala, gdje je pojedini saudijski državljanin kao "Kafeel" zakonski odgovoran za radnika, tako što će im sastavljati radne ugovore i određivati uvjete pod kojima imaju vizu. Lani je saudijska vlada objavila da je reformirala taj sustav kao dio sveobuhvatnog reformskog plana "Saudijska vizija 2030" princa prestolonasljednika Muhameda bin Salmana, u sklopu nastojanja saudijske kraljevine da se otvori svijetu.

Filipinke na cijeni

Kako je objavljeno, migrantski radnici trebali su dobiti veće slobode, među ostalim pravo da otvore bankovne račune, promijene posao i napuste zemlju bez dopuštenja. No ta se nova pravila odnose samo na one koji rade u sektorima poput nafte i plina. Ne odnose se na četiri milijuna žena i muškaraca koji rade kao kućna posluga, poljoprivredni radnici ili vozači: oni svi i dalje ne smiju svojom voljom mijenjati posao ili napustiti zemlju.

Cijene radnika na aplikaciji Haraj.sa razlikuju se ovisno o etničkoj pripadnosti.

Filipinke se najbrže prodaju i po najvišoj cijeni, dok sluškinje iz Ugande nisu baš na cijeni, jer ih smatraju tvrdoglavima i nečistima.

Potražnja za iskusnim radnicima je velika, pa su mnogi oglasi nestali nakon samo nekoliko dana, piše londonski list. Nura je novinaru Timesa već dan kasnije rekla da je sluškinju iz Ugande prodala ozbiljnijem ponuđaču iz grada Abhe.

U više zemalja djeluju udruge koje pomažu radnicama i radnicima da se izvuku iz takvih robovlasničkih odnosa. Kenijska sobarica Valery Shebna (30) koristila je SOS telefonsku liniju kako bi uspjela napustiti Saudijsku Arabiju bez dopuštenja svojih sponzora i vratiti se u Nairobi. Kaže da ju je obitelj kod koje je živjela u Rijadu dvije godine svaki dan tukla.

Nisu joj dali da se vrati kući, a da bi je disciplinirali, uskraćivali su joj hranu.

"Vratila sam se s emocionalnim ožiljcima, bez svog novca, putovnice, diploma", požalila se Valery. Sve su to zadržali bivši gazde, nisu htjeli da ode.

Međunarodna organizacija za ljudska prava Equidem ima specijalistički tim za otkrivanje zlostavljanja ljudi koji rade kao kućna posluga u Saudijskoj Arabiji. Oni ističu da problem trgovine sluškinjama u saudijskom kraljevstvu postoji desetljećima. No sad je zahvaljujući tehnologiji buknuo u pravu humanitarnu i moralnu krizu.

Direktor Equidema Mustafa Qadri kaže da se, na temelju informacija aktivista na terenu i Timesove istrage, boje da im ispod radara svakodnevno prolaze na stotine, a možda i tisuće slučajeva online trgovine ljudima. Riječ je o modernom ropstvu, većinom rodnom uvjetovanom jer većinu žrtava čine žene. I gotovo potpuno izvan kontrole.

Bogati Saudijci preko platformi za online trgovinu prodaju i kupuju kućne pomoćnice i drugu poslugu.

"Radit će vam dan i noć, ne treba joj odmor", hvali Saudijka Nura 23-godišnju sluškinju iz Ugande. Ako pogriješi, samo je pošaljite u njezinu sobu i ne puštajte ju van, savjetuje Nura potencijalnog kupca. Cijena? 4000 eura.

Novinar britanskog Timesa lažno se predstavio kao zainteresirani kupac, kako bi istražio robovlasničko tržište radnom snagom u Saudijskoj Arabiji.

Mogu je večeras odvesti k vama, kaže mu Nura. "Ako i dalje ne budete sigurni, nema problema, umjesto toga možete je unajmiti. Ali recite mi to sad, jer do sutra će je kupiti netko drugi", rekla mu je bogata Saudijka.

Nura je oglasila prodaju sluškinje na Haraj.sa, najvećoj internetskoj trgovini Saudijske Arabije, piše Jutarnji.

Timesova istraga je pokazala da se preko Haraj.sa trguje stotinama kućnih pomoćnica, i prodaje ih se onima koji najviše ponude.

Na desetke oglasa

Građani Saudijske Arabije svaki dan objavljuju desetke oglasa u kojima nude imigrantske radnike i radnice kao spremačice, čistačice, dadilje i vozače, piše Times.

Mobilna aplikacija Haraj.sa lani je imala 2,5 milijuna posjeta - više od Amazona ili AliExpressa u Saudijskoj Arabiji. Zna se da se preko te aplikacije prodaju ljudi, UN-ovi posebni izvjestitelji još su je 2020. kritizirali zbog olakšavanja modernog ropstva, no Times upozorava da je usprkos tome još uvijek dostupna u internetskim trgovinama Apple i Google Play.

Nura je praktično vlasnica svoje sluškinje iz Ugande.

Ona drži njezinu putovnicu godinu dana, od dana kad ju je zaposlila, kad je djevojka stigla u njen dom preko agencije za zapošljavanje u Ugandi.

I ostali Saudijci koji su preko platforme prodavali migrantske radnike priznali su novinarima Timesa da drže njihove putovnice u sefu. Dvoje je priznalo da su fizički disciplinirali svoje radnike ako su im "uzvratili", a deseci ih očekuju da njihove sluškinje rade dan i noć za samo 60 kuna dnevno.

Zadržavanje osobnih dokumenata radnika predstavlja kršenje ljudskih prava i pokazatelj je prisilnog rada i zlostavljanja, podsjeća londonski list.

Na pitanje zašto je prodala svoju sluškinju, Nura odgovara: "Ona je dobra čistačica i kuharica, ali ne može čuvati moje dijete. Baka mi je bolesna, pa mi je hitno potreban novac."

Saudijska Arabija treća je država na svijetu po veličini migrantske populacije.

Strani radnici tu mogu živjeti i raditi kroz sustav Kafala, gdje je pojedini saudijski državljanin kao "Kafeel" zakonski odgovoran za radnika, tako što će im sastavljati radne ugovore i određivati uvjete pod kojima imaju vizu. Lani je saudijska vlada objavila da je reformirala taj sustav kao dio sveobuhvatnog reformskog plana "Saudijska vizija 2030" princa prestolonasljednika Muhameda bin Salmana, u sklopu nastojanja saudijske kraljevine da se otvori svijetu.

Filipinke na cijeni

Kako je objavljeno, migrantski radnici trebali su dobiti veće slobode, među ostalim pravo da otvore bankovne račune, promijene posao i napuste zemlju bez dopuštenja. No ta se nova pravila odnose samo na one koji rade u sektorima poput nafte i plina. Ne odnose se na četiri milijuna žena i muškaraca koji rade kao kućna posluga, poljoprivredni radnici ili vozači: oni svi i dalje ne smiju svojom voljom mijenjati posao ili napustiti zemlju.

Cijene radnika na aplikaciji Haraj.sa razlikuju se ovisno o etničkoj pripadnosti.

Filipinke se najbrže prodaju i po najvišoj cijeni, dok sluškinje iz Ugande nisu baš na cijeni, jer ih smatraju tvrdoglavima i nečistima.

Potražnja za iskusnim radnicima je velika, pa su mnogi oglasi nestali nakon samo nekoliko dana, piše londonski list. Nura je novinaru Timesa već dan kasnije rekla da je sluškinju iz Ugande prodala ozbiljnijem ponuđaču iz grada Abhe.

U više zemalja djeluju udruge koje pomažu radnicama i radnicima da se izvuku iz takvih robovlasničkih odnosa. Kenijska sobarica Valery Shebna (30) koristila je SOS telefonsku liniju kako bi uspjela napustiti Saudijsku Arabiju bez dopuštenja svojih sponzora i vratiti se u Nairobi. Kaže da ju je obitelj kod koje je živjela u Rijadu dvije godine svaki dan tukla.

Nisu joj dali da se vrati kući, a da bi je disciplinirali, uskraćivali su joj hranu.

"Vratila sam se s emocionalnim ožiljcima, bez svog novca, putovnice, diploma", požalila se Valery. Sve su to zadržali bivši gazde, nisu htjeli da ode.

Međunarodna organizacija za ljudska prava Equidem ima specijalistički tim za otkrivanje zlostavljanja ljudi koji rade kao kućna posluga u Saudijskoj Arabiji. Oni ističu da problem trgovine sluškinjama u saudijskom kraljevstvu postoji desetljećima. No sad je zahvaljujući tehnologiji buknuo u pravu humanitarnu i moralnu krizu.

Direktor Equidema Mustafa Qadri kaže da se, na temelju informacija aktivista na terenu i Timesove istrage, boje da im ispod radara svakodnevno prolaze na stotine, a možda i tisuće slučajeva online trgovine ljudima. Riječ je o modernom ropstvu, većinom rodnom uvjetovanom jer većinu žrtava čine žene. I gotovo potpuno izvan kontrole.
