Malo ljudi zna da postoji više od 100 vrsta artritisa. Međutim, tri su najčešća, a to su osteoartritis, reumatoidni artritis i psorijatični artritis, piše Živim.

REUMATOIDNI ARTRITIS

ŠTO JE? Radi se o autoimunoj bolesti, što znači da imunosni sustav napada hrskavično tkivo, posebno zglobove (ponekad kosti i unutarnje organe). To dovodi do upale koja, ako se ne liječi, može izazvati teška oštećenja u zglobovima. Jedna od pet osoba koja pati od reumatoidnog artritisa može imati kvržice na koži koje se nazivaju reumatoidni čvorići. Najčešće nastaju na mjestima podložnim pritiscima kao što su zglobovi, koljena ili pete.

ŠTO SE DOGAĐA? Ne zna se točno što uzrokuje reumatoidni artritis. Neki stručnjaci vjeruju da imunosni sustav postaje "zbunjen" nakon infekcije bakterijom ili virusom i počne napadati zglobove, a bitka se može proširiti i na druge dijelove tijela.

SIMPTOMI Mogu se početi javljati postupno, ali i naglo i često su teži nego kod osteoartritisa. Može se javiti bol i ukočenost, otekline u rukama, zapešćima, koljenima, ramenima, gležnjevima, stopalima, bol u čeljusti i vratu. Ponekad se bol javlja samo u jednom dijelu tijela, ali mnogo češće reumatoidni artritis utječe na nekoliko zglobova. Ima tendenciju simetričnosti pa, na primjer, ako su zglobovi na lijevoj ruci upaljeni, i zglobovi na desnoj ruci također će biti upaljeni. Nakon nekog vremena može biti zahvaćeno više zglobova i javlja se osjećaj topline na dodir. Oteklina može biti jaka i ometa radnje poput vožnje automobila, svakodnevnih aktivnosti, šetnje. Osjećaj ukočenosti koji obično počinje u jutarnjim satima može trajati satima ili čak veći dio dana. Osoba koja boluje od reumatoidnog artritisa također može osjećati umor, dolazi do manjka apetita i gubitka kilograma.

OSTEOARTRITIS

ŠTO JE? Ovaj oblik artritisa pogađa više ljudi nego bilo koji drugi. Obično dolazi s godinama, najviše pogađa ljude srednje i starije dobi, češće žene nego muškarce. Iako su godine rizični faktor, osteoartritis se može ranije pojaviti kod pretilih ljudi i u tom slučaju posebno zahvaća koljena, te kod ljudi sa sportskim ozljedama. Karakterizira ga uništavanje zglobne hrskavice, a najčešće pogađa zglobove koji nose težinu tijela kao što su koljena, kukovi i kralježnica. Razvija se postupno tijekom nekoliko mjeseci ili godina i izaziva bol u zahvaćenom zglobu.

ŠTO SE DOGAĐA? Hrskavica se postupno razgrađuje. Ona je skliski materijal koji pokriva krajeve kostiju i svojevrsni je amortizer. Uništavanje hrskavice izaziva trljanje kostiju jedne o drugu, što uzrokuje bol i gubitak pokreta. Na primjer, opterećenje koljena zbog prekomjerne tjelesne težine može oštetiti hrskavice pa se one istroše brže nego inače i pokreti postaju bolni. Može se čuti hrapav zvuk na površini kostiju, a mogu se pojaviti i kvrge na krajevima kostiju, osobito na prstima i nogama.

SIMPTOMI Ovise o tome koji su zglobovi pogođeni. Mogu se manifestirati kao: duboka, snažna bol, osjećaj teškoće i bolova kod odijevanja, češljanja kose, sjedenja, zglob je topao na dodir, osjećaj ukočenosti tijekom jutra, bol, oticanje i ukočenost zglobova nakon kretanja, krutosti nakon odmora, teškoće u kretanju i gubitak fleksibilnosti zgloba.

PSORIJATIČNI ARTRITIS

ŠTO JE? Osobe s ovim stanjem imaju artritis (upalu zglobova) koji je povezan sa psorijazom (upalom kože). Psorijaza obično utječe na vrhove laktova i koljena, vlasište, pupak i kožu oko genitalnog područja ili anusa. Samo će se u oko 10 posto osoba sa psorijazom javiti psorijatični artritis. Pojava artritisa može prethoditi psorijazi, dok s druge strane svaki artritis koji se javlja u psorijazi nije uvijek psorijatični artritis, piše Živim.

ŠTO SE DOGAĐA? Ova vrsta artritisa najčešće se javlja između 30. i 50. godine, ali može se pojaviti već u djetinjstvu i jednako često pogađa muškarce i žene. Prvo se javlja kao bolest kože (psorijaza).

SIMPTOMI Dolazi do oticanja prstiju. Nokti su bezbojni, listaju se.

Malo ljudi zna da postoji više od 100 vrsta artritisa. Međutim, tri su najčešća, a to su osteoartritis, reumatoidni artritis i psorijatični artritis, piše Živim.

REUMATOIDNI ARTRITIS

ŠTO JE? Radi se o autoimunoj bolesti, što znači da imunosni sustav napada hrskavično tkivo, posebno zglobove (ponekad kosti i unutarnje organe). To dovodi do upale koja, ako se ne liječi, može izazvati teška oštećenja u zglobovima. Jedna od pet osoba koja pati od reumatoidnog artritisa može imati kvržice na koži koje se nazivaju reumatoidni čvorići. Najčešće nastaju na mjestima podložnim pritiscima kao što su zglobovi, koljena ili pete.

ŠTO SE DOGAĐA? Ne zna se točno što uzrokuje reumatoidni artritis. Neki stručnjaci vjeruju da imunosni sustav postaje "zbunjen" nakon infekcije bakterijom ili virusom i počne napadati zglobove, a bitka se može proširiti i na druge dijelove tijela.

SIMPTOMI Mogu se početi javljati postupno, ali i naglo i često su teži nego kod osteoartritisa. Može se javiti bol i ukočenost, otekline u rukama, zapešćima, koljenima, ramenima, gležnjevima, stopalima, bol u čeljusti i vratu. Ponekad se bol javlja samo u jednom dijelu tijela, ali mnogo češće reumatoidni artritis utječe na nekoliko zglobova. Ima tendenciju simetričnosti pa, na primjer, ako su zglobovi na lijevoj ruci upaljeni, i zglobovi na desnoj ruci također će biti upaljeni. Nakon nekog vremena može biti zahvaćeno više zglobova i javlja se osjećaj topline na dodir. Oteklina može biti jaka i ometa radnje poput vožnje automobila, svakodnevnih aktivnosti, šetnje. Osjećaj ukočenosti koji obično počinje u jutarnjim satima može trajati satima ili čak veći dio dana. Osoba koja boluje od reumatoidnog artritisa također može osjećati umor, dolazi do manjka apetita i gubitka kilograma.

OSTEOARTRITIS

ŠTO JE? Ovaj oblik artritisa pogađa više ljudi nego bilo koji drugi. Obično dolazi s godinama, najviše pogađa ljude srednje i starije dobi, češće žene nego muškarce. Iako su godine rizični faktor, osteoartritis se može ranije pojaviti kod pretilih ljudi i u tom slučaju posebno zahvaća koljena, te kod ljudi sa sportskim ozljedama. Karakterizira ga uništavanje zglobne hrskavice, a najčešće pogađa zglobove koji nose težinu tijela kao što su koljena, kukovi i kralježnica. Razvija se postupno tijekom nekoliko mjeseci ili godina i izaziva bol u zahvaćenom zglobu.

ŠTO SE DOGAĐA? Hrskavica se postupno razgrađuje. Ona je skliski materijal koji pokriva krajeve kostiju i svojevrsni je amortizer. Uništavanje hrskavice izaziva trljanje kostiju jedne o drugu, što uzrokuje bol i gubitak pokreta. Na primjer, opterećenje koljena zbog prekomjerne tjelesne težine može oštetiti hrskavice pa se one istroše brže nego inače i pokreti postaju bolni. Može se čuti hrapav zvuk na površini kostiju, a mogu se pojaviti i kvrge na krajevima kostiju, osobito na prstima i nogama.

SIMPTOMI Ovise o tome koji su zglobovi pogođeni. Mogu se manifestirati kao: duboka, snažna bol, osjećaj teškoće i bolova kod odijevanja, češljanja kose, sjedenja, zglob je topao na dodir, osjećaj ukočenosti tijekom jutra, bol, oticanje i ukočenost zglobova nakon kretanja, krutosti nakon odmora, teškoće u kretanju i gubitak fleksibilnosti zgloba.

PSORIJATIČNI ARTRITIS

ŠTO JE? Osobe s ovim stanjem imaju artritis (upalu zglobova) koji je povezan sa psorijazom (upalom kože). Psorijaza obično utječe na vrhove laktova i koljena, vlasište, pupak i kožu oko genitalnog područja ili anusa. Samo će se u oko 10 posto osoba sa psorijazom javiti psorijatični artritis. Pojava artritisa može prethoditi psorijazi, dok s druge strane svaki artritis koji se javlja u psorijazi nije uvijek psorijatični artritis, piše Živim.

ŠTO SE DOGAĐA? Ova vrsta artritisa najčešće se javlja između 30. i 50. godine, ali može se pojaviti već u djetinjstvu i jednako često pogađa muškarce i žene. Prvo se javlja kao bolest kože (psorijaza).

SIMPTOMI Dolazi do oticanja prstiju. Nokti su bezbojni, listaju se.
