Oolong čaj spada među najzdravije čajeve, naziva se i “ubojica masnoća” jer pomaže u slučaju visokog kolesterola, kod mršavljenja bez gladovanja, za ubrzavanje metabolizma. Po stupnju fermentacije je između zelenog i crnog čaja, a količina teina manja je nego u crnom, a viša nego u zelenom čaju. Oolong čaj može biti zelenkaste ili smeđe boje, ovisno o stupnju fermentacije (vrenja), a poznat je i kao crveni čaj, piše Živim.
Antioksidansi
Neki od glavnih antioksidansa u oolong čaju su polifenoli theaflavini, thearubigini i EGCG. Oni su odgovorni za mnoge njegove zdravstvene koristi. Vjeruje se da polifenoli u oolongu smanjuje razinu šećera u krvi, pomažući smanjiti vjerojatnost dijabetesa tipa 2. Također mogu poboljšati zdravlje srca i smanjiti vjerojatnost srčanih bolesti.

Oolong čaj također je pokazao neke potencijalno izvanredne učinke na mozak. Konzumacija oolonga povezana je s manjim rizikom od kognitivnog pada, kao i poboljšanom spoznajom, pamćenjem, izvršnom funkcijom i poboljšanom brzinom obrade podataka. Tein u čaju također može pojačati pažnju i smanjiti anksioznost, a kofein i tein zajedno mogu povećati budnost i pažnju u prvih sat ili dva nakon pijenja. Osim toga, redovito pijenje oolong čaja povezano je s većom mineralnom gustoćom kostiju, čime se smanjuju prijelomi, smanjuje zubni plak, vjerojatno zbog visoke razine fluorida u čaju i dugoročnog poboljšanja simptoma ekcema. Ima li oolong nuspojave?
Oolong čaj, kao i većina čajeva, općenito se smatra sigurnim. Preporučena dnevna doza oolong čaja je oko 3-4 šalice dnevno, s obzirom na to da sadrži tein (kofein), koji kad se konzumira u velikim količinama može uzrokovati neke neugodne nuspojave, uključujući nesanicu, glavobolje i anksioznost. Imajte na umu da kofein ometa neke lijekove. Također se preporučuje izbjegavanje dodataka oolong čaja, jer previše polifenola može ih učiniti prooksidansima, koji su zapravo loši za zdravlje, piše Živim.

Oolong čaj spada među najzdravije čajeve, naziva se i “ubojica masnoća” jer pomaže u slučaju visokog kolesterola, kod mršavljenja bez gladovanja, za ubrzavanje metabolizma. Po stupnju fermentacije je između zelenog i crnog čaja, a količina teina manja je nego u crnom, a viša nego u zelenom čaju. Oolong čaj može biti zelenkaste ili smeđe boje, ovisno o stupnju fermentacije (vrenja), a poznat je i kao crveni čaj, piše Živim.
Antioksidansi
Neki od glavnih antioksidansa u oolong čaju su polifenoli theaflavini, thearubigini i EGCG. Oni su odgovorni za mnoge njegove zdravstvene koristi. Vjeruje se da polifenoli u oolongu smanjuje razinu šećera u krvi, pomažući smanjiti vjerojatnost dijabetesa tipa 2. Također mogu poboljšati zdravlje srca i smanjiti vjerojatnost srčanih bolesti.

Oolong čaj također je pokazao neke potencijalno izvanredne učinke na mozak. Konzumacija oolonga povezana je s manjim rizikom od kognitivnog pada, kao i poboljšanom spoznajom, pamćenjem, izvršnom funkcijom i poboljšanom brzinom obrade podataka. Tein u čaju također može pojačati pažnju i smanjiti anksioznost, a kofein i tein zajedno mogu povećati budnost i pažnju u prvih sat ili dva nakon pijenja. Osim toga, redovito pijenje oolong čaja povezano je s većom mineralnom gustoćom kostiju, čime se smanjuju prijelomi, smanjuje zubni plak, vjerojatno zbog visoke razine fluorida u čaju i dugoročnog poboljšanja simptoma ekcema. Znanstvenici vjeruju da antioksidansi prisutni u crnim, zelenim i oolong čajevima mogu pomoći u sprječavanju mutacija stanica koje mogu dovesti do raka u tijelu, a također, polifenoli čaja mogu smanjiti stopu diobe stanica raka.

Ima li oolong nuspojave?
Oolong čaj, kao i većina čajeva, općenito se smatra sigurnim. Preporučena dnevna doza oolong čaja je oko 3-4 šalice dnevno, s obzirom na to da sadrži tein (kofein), koji kad se konzumira u velikim količinama može uzrokovati neke neugodne nuspojave, uključujući nesanicu, glavobolje i anksioznost. Imajte na umu da kofein ometa neke lijekove. Također se preporučuje izbjegavanje dodataka oolong čaja, jer previše polifenola može ih učiniti prooksidansima, koji su zapravo loši za zdravlje, piše Živim.
