Slučaj trogodišnje djevojčice Brooklyn-Mai koja se, prema riječima njezine majke Charlotte Wingfield, zarazila salmonelom u Kinder čokoladi i zamalo umrla šokirao je svijet. No, to nije jedini slučaj posljednjih dana. U proteklih tjedan dana dio proizvoda talijanskog proizvođača povučen je iz trgovina diljem Europe, pa tako i Hrvatske, zbog straha od salmoneloze, a prema posljednjim podacima potvrđeni su deseci slučajeva trovanja.
Salmonele su bakterije koje uzrokuju infekcije kod životinja i ljudi. Kod ljudi izazivaju različite kliničke slike crijevnih infekcija (asimptomatska klijanja, upala želučane i crijevne sluznice uz povraćanje, proljev - akutni gastroenterokolitis, trbušni tifus, paratifus, bakterijemija sa ili bez crijevnih žarišta, sepsa). Bolesti uzrokovane bakterijama iz roda Salmonella nazivaju se salmonelozom.
Kako se prenosi salmonela?
To se najčešće događa kada je hrana nedovoljno toplinski obrađena (meso i mesne prerađevine, mlijeko i mliječni proizvodi, jaja i proizvodi pripremljeni od njih - kreme, kolači, kolači, sladoled). Treba napomenuti da se salmonela ne prenosi samo hranom koja je "zaražena", već i s osobe na osobu. To znači da je osoba zaražena salmonelom može prenijeti na drugu osobu fizičkim kontaktom.
Prvi simptomi
Prvi simptomi infekcije, koji se mogu pojaviti 30 minuta do tri dana nakon konzumiranja kontaminirane hrane, jesu:
- slabost
- povraćanje
- proljev
- bolovi u trbuhu i grčevi
- glavobolja
- temperatura
- slabost
- krv u stolici
Znakovi ozbiljne infekcije
Klinička slika može varirati od blage do teške koja zahtijeva hospitalizaciju. Česti proljev i povraćanje mogu uzrokovati veliki gubitak tekućine i elektrolita. Teža klinička slika znači da je nastupila dehidracija koja se očituje suhim ustima, suhim jezikom obloženim bijelim oblogama, tamnijim mokraćom i ubrzanim otkucajima srca.
Dijeta ima važnu ulogu u liječenju salmonele, pa se jelovnik treba sastojati od čajeva (metvica, kamilica), mineralne vode, slane juhe (zbog elektrolita), jogurta i nemasnog mesa.

Slučaj trogodišnje djevojčice Brooklyn-Mai koja se, prema riječima njezine majke Charlotte Wingfield, zarazila salmonelom u Kinder čokoladi i zamalo umrla šokirao je svijet. No, to nije jedini slučaj posljednjih dana. U proteklih tjedan dana dio proizvoda talijanskog proizvođača povučen je iz trgovina diljem Europe, pa tako i Hrvatske, zbog straha od salmoneloze, a prema posljednjim podacima potvrđeni su deseci slučajeva trovanja.
Salmonele su bakterije koje uzrokuju infekcije kod životinja i ljudi. Kod ljudi izazivaju različite kliničke slike crijevnih infekcija (asimptomatska klijanja, upala želučane i crijevne sluznice uz povraćanje, proljev - akutni gastroenterokolitis, trbušni tifus, paratifus, bakterijemija sa ili bez crijevnih žarišta, sepsa). Bolesti uzrokovane bakterijama iz roda Salmonella nazivaju se salmonelozom.
Kako se prenosi salmonela?
To se najčešće događa kada je hrana nedovoljno toplinski obrađena (meso i mesne prerađevine, mlijeko i mliječni proizvodi, jaja i proizvodi pripremljeni od njih - kreme, kolači, kolači, sladoled). Treba napomenuti da se salmonela ne prenosi samo hranom koja je "zaražena", već i s osobe na osobu. To znači da je osoba zaražena salmonelom može prenijeti na drugu osobu fizičkim kontaktom.
Prvi simptomi
Prvi simptomi infekcije, koji se mogu pojaviti 30 minuta do tri dana nakon konzumiranja kontaminirane hrane, jesu:
- slabost
- povraćanje
- proljev
- bolovi u trbuhu i grčevi
- glavobolja
- temperatura
- slabost
- krv u stolici
Znakovi ozbiljne infekcije
Klinička slika može varirati od blage do teške koja zahtijeva hospitalizaciju. Česti proljev i povraćanje mogu uzrokovati veliki gubitak tekućine i elektrolita. Teža klinička slika znači da je nastupila dehidracija koja se očituje suhim ustima, suhim jezikom obloženim bijelim oblogama, tamnijim mokraćom i ubrzanim otkucajima srca.
Dijeta ima važnu ulogu u liječenju salmonele, pa se jelovnik treba sastojati od čajeva (metvica, kamilica), mineralne vode, slane juhe (zbog elektrolita), jogurta i nemasnog mesa.
