Sir je za neke omiljena, a za neke namirnica koju apsolutno preziru. Prva skupina ipak broji nešto više članova, zbog čega je ova mliječna namirnica mnogima poseban "gušt" do kojeg drže. 

Svi oni koji planiraju ili sebi već kupuju fine, ukusne, aromatične sireve, moraju znati da postoje određena pravila kojih se trebaju pridržavati kako bi ih što duže očuvali svježima - i naposljetku, što duže uživali u njima. 

Ovo je nekoliko savjeta kojima ćete produljiti rok trajanja vašeg omiljenog sira

Kako ih rezati

Svaki sir, ovisno o njegovoj strukturi, reže se na drugi način. 

Primjerice, meki sirevi koji se mrve trebali bi se rezati mokrim nožem, kako bi njihove kriške ostale u komadu. Sirevi koji imaju koru trebali bi se rezati tako da im svaka kriška ima i koru i komad sredine. Okrugli sirevi režu se poput torte, potezom od sredine do njegovog vanjskog ruba, a kada se reže trokut sira - nikada se ne smije odrezati njegov špic. Sirevi u foliji režu se s folijom, a zatim tek odvajaju od nje. Jako je važno napomenuti i da se sir reže netom prije posluživanja, kako se ne bi osušio.

Adekvatna zaštita

Nakon što ste ga izvadili iz njegove originalne ambalaže, najbolje bi bilo sir držati u laganoj kuhinjskoj krpi,  plastičnoj zdjeli s rupicama ili na drvenoj podlozi sa staklenim zvonom. Manje dijelove sira možete zamotati i u papir ili pergament papir. Gdje god ga pohranili, vodite računa da vaš sir diše - zato pri skladištenju sira izbjegavajte plastične i aluminijske folije. Također ga nemojte nikada držati raspakiranim, odnosno pohranite ga natrag u svježu zaštitu i frižider odmah nakon što odrežete dio koji ćete pojesti. 

Pohrana 

Idealno mjesto za čuvanje sira je mračna i hladna prostorija, u narodu poznata po nazivu konoba. Ipak, nemaju je svi - zbog čega je frižider dovoljno dobra alternativa. Vodite računa da je dio frižidera u koji planirate pohraniti vaše sireve čist. Nemojte držati sir u vratima frižidera, kako ne bi previše mijenjao temperaturu - jer to može biti pogubno za njegovu svježinu. Ako ga planirate zamrznuti, razrežite ga u više manjih dijelova i pri odmrzavanju ga prvo prebacite u frižider, a tek onda na sobnu temperaturu. 

Vlažnost

Ako imate tvrdi sir s korom, bilo bi dobro tu i tamo platnenu krpu u kojoj ga držite navlažiti vodom ili koru sira premazati uljem. Neki stručnjaci tvrde da umakanjem čitavog sira u maslinovo ulje možemo ovu namirnicu konzervirati i time joj produljiti vijek trajanja. Mekanije vrste sira bilo bi dobro držati u njihovim sokovima kako bi ostali što mekši. Ipak, strogo pripazite na njih, jer imaju kraći rok trajanja od njihovih tvrđih "rođaka". 

Visoki oprez

Ako ste fan plavog, odnosno pljesnivog sira, morate znati kako s njim ispravno postupati. Ovaj sir trebate držati podalje od drugih sireva, jer je njegova plijesan "zarazna". Dakle, nakon što ga zamotate u omot po izboru dva puta, pohranite ga u plastičnu posudu pa tek onda u frižider. 

Najbolja metoda 

Ako ste u mogućnosti, kupujte sir u manjim količinama. Tako ćete morati brinuti o svim ovim pravilima u razdobljima od tek nekoliko dana i bit će vam lakše održati njegovu svježinu. Da, to znači da ćete češće odlaziti u prodavaonicu, ali ta će se žrtva itekako isplatiti.

Sir je za neke omiljena, a za neke namirnica koju apsolutno preziru. Prva skupina ipak broji nešto više članova, zbog čega je ova mliječna namirnica mnogima poseban "gušt" do kojeg drže. 

Svi oni koji planiraju ili sebi već kupuju fine, ukusne, aromatične sireve, moraju znati da postoje određena pravila kojih se trebaju pridržavati kako bi ih što duže očuvali svježima - i naposljetku, što duže uživali u njima. 

Ovo je nekoliko savjeta kojima ćete produljiti rok trajanja vašeg omiljenog sira

Kako ih rezati

Svaki sir, ovisno o njegovoj strukturi, reže se na drugi način. 

Primjerice, meki sirevi koji se mrve trebali bi se rezati mokrim nožem, kako bi njihove kriške ostale u komadu. Sirevi koji imaju koru trebali bi se rezati tako da im svaka kriška ima i koru i komad sredine. Okrugli sirevi režu se poput torte, potezom od sredine do njegovog vanjskog ruba, a kada se reže trokut sira - nikada se ne smije odrezati njegov špic. Sirevi u foliji režu se s folijom, a zatim tek odvajaju od nje. Jako je važno napomenuti i da se sir reže netom prije posluživanja, kako se ne bi osušio.

Adekvatna zaštita

Nakon što ste ga izvadili iz njegove originalne ambalaže, najbolje bi bilo sir držati u laganoj kuhinjskoj krpi,  plastičnoj zdjeli s rupicama ili na drvenoj podlozi sa staklenim zvonom. Manje dijelove sira možete zamotati i u papir ili pergament papir. Gdje god ga pohranili, vodite računa da vaš sir diše - zato pri skladištenju sira izbjegavajte plastične i aluminijske folije. Također ga nemojte nikada držati raspakiranim, odnosno pohranite ga natrag u svježu zaštitu i frižider odmah nakon što odrežete dio koji ćete pojesti. 

Pohrana 

Idealno mjesto za čuvanje sira je mračna i hladna prostorija, u narodu poznata po nazivu konoba. Ipak, nemaju je svi - zbog čega je frižider dovoljno dobra alternativa. Vodite računa da je dio frižidera u koji planirate pohraniti vaše sireve čist. Nemojte držati sir u vratima frižidera, kako ne bi previše mijenjao temperaturu - jer to može biti pogubno za njegovu svježinu. Ako ga planirate zamrznuti, razrežite ga u više manjih dijelova i pri odmrzavanju ga prvo prebacite u frižider, a tek onda na sobnu temperaturu. 

Vlažnost

Ako imate tvrdi sir s korom, bilo bi dobro tu i tamo platnenu krpu u kojoj ga držite navlažiti vodom ili koru sira premazati uljem. Neki stručnjaci tvrde da umakanjem čitavog sira u maslinovo ulje možemo ovu namirnicu konzervirati i time joj produljiti vijek trajanja. Mekanije vrste sira bilo bi dobro držati u njihovim sokovima kako bi ostali što mekši. Ipak, strogo pripazite na njih, jer imaju kraći rok trajanja od njihovih tvrđih "rođaka". 

Visoki oprez

Ako ste fan plavog, odnosno pljesnivog sira, morate znati kako s njim ispravno postupati. Ovaj sir trebate držati podalje od drugih sireva, jer je njegova plijesan "zarazna". Dakle, nakon što ga zamotate u omot po izboru dva puta, pohranite ga u plastičnu posudu pa tek onda u frižider. 

Najbolja metoda 

Ako ste u mogućnosti, kupujte sir u manjim količinama. Tako ćete morati brinuti o svim ovim pravilima u razdobljima od tek nekoliko dana i bit će vam lakše održati njegovu svježinu. Da, to znači da ćete češće odlaziti u prodavaonicu, ali ta će se žrtva itekako isplatiti.

Sir je za neke omiljena, a za neke namirnica koju apsolutno preziru. Prva skupina ipak broji nešto više članova, zbog čega je ova mliječna namirnica mnogima poseban "gušt" do kojeg drže. 

Svi oni koji planiraju ili sebi već kupuju fine, ukusne, aromatične sireve, moraju znati da postoje određena pravila kojih se trebaju pridržavati kako bi ih što duže očuvali svježima - i naposljetku, što duže uživali u njima. 

Ovo je nekoliko savjeta kojima ćete produljiti rok trajanja vašeg omiljenog sira

Kako ih rezati

Svaki sir, ovisno o njegovoj strukturi, reže se na drugi način. 

Primjerice, meki sirevi koji se mrve trebali bi se rezati mokrim nožem, kako bi njihove kriške ostale u komadu. Sirevi koji imaju koru trebali bi se rezati tako da im svaka kriška ima i koru i...
