U ovim vrelim ljetnim danima vjerojatno ne postoji osoba koja ne razmišlja o tome kako se rashladiti. No osim mlakog tuša, osvježavajućih napitaka i sličnih instant rješenja koja hlade naše tijelo treba misliti i na to kako rashladiti svoj stan, a da se pritom klimatizacijski uređaj koristi što manje (ako ga uopće ima u stanu).
Toplina koja se tijekom dana akumulira u zidovima zrači u prostor tijekom noći. Kako bismo to ublažili možemo pribjeći nekim 'old school' trikovima, iše portaz Zgradonačelnik.
- Ventilator! Ali ne samo ventilator. Dobra je fora ispred ventilatora staviti plastičnu bocu sa zaleđenom vodom jer će tako ventilator u prostor raspuhivati hladniji zrak.
- Također, na nekoliko mjesta u stanu mogu se postaviti zdjele s hladnom vodom ili vodom s ledom jer to pripomaže hlađenju toplog zraka.
- Naravno, ne treba zaboraviti ni na spuštene rolete pogotovo tijekom dana kada je sunčeva svjetlost najača. - Biljke i zelenilo također imaju klimatizacijsku ulogu, a još su k tome prirodan i dekorativan dodatak kućanstvu.
Dodatni trikovi:
- Termofor! Iako ga najčešće koristimo u zimskim mjesecima, nema potrebe rezervirati ga samo za hladne dane. U vrućim ljetnim periodima hladna voda u termoforu može rashladiti krevet i učiniti san ugodnijim.
- Lagana i prozračna odjeća, kao i lagani, 'hladni' materijali za zavjese i prekrivače također pripomažu ugodnosti i osjećaju rashlađenja.
- S obzirom da topli zrak više voli visine, nije ni čudo da mnoge kulture gdje se dnevne temperature penju daleko iznad 35 stupnjeva Celzijusa mnogo toga rade na podu – jedu, spavaju, piju čajeve i druže se. To se ne uklapa u našu kulturu, ali može pomoći pri rashlađenju, pa se, recimo, popodnevni odmor uz knjigu može preseliti na pod. Naravno, ako si složimo udobnu i mekanu prostirku.
- Također, preporučljivo je isključiti uređaje koji vam nisu prijeko potrebni. Osim toga, ako je moguće zamijenite konvencionalne žarulje i koristite one koje se puno manje zagrijavaju jer i to prilično utječe na podizanje žive u termometru.

Grijanje i hlađenje čine trećinu godišnjeg računa za struju. "Termo potrošači" su, dakle, oni koji stvaraju veliku potrošnju, zimi zagrijavaju prostor tako da se mogu skinuti u kratki rukav, dok im je ljeti u stanu kao u "ledenici". Upravo za takve, ekstremne slučajeve treba napomenuti kako klimatizacijski uređaj, ako ima inverter, koristi 40 posto manje energije, odnosno učinak uređaja za istu količinu energije je znatno poboljšan. U ovim vrelim ljetnim danima vjerojatno ne postoji osoba koja ne razmišlja o tome kako se rashladiti. - Ventilator! Ali ne samo ventilator. Dobra je fora ispred ventilatora staviti plastičnu bocu sa zaleđenom vodom jer će tako ventilator u prostor raspuhivati hladniji zrak.
- Također, na nekoliko mjesta u stanu mogu se postaviti zdjele s hladnom vodom ili vodom s ledom jer to pripomaže hlađenju toplog zraka.
- Naravno, ne treba zaboraviti ni na spuštene rolete pogotovo tijekom dana kada je sunčeva svjetlost najača. Rolete tada ne treba spustiti do kraja jer se onda treba paliti svjetlo, a to dodatno grije prostor i troši električnu energiju. Neka rolete budu spuštene tako da ipak prodire dovoljna količina svjetlosti.
- Ako imate balkone, terase ili lođe dobro je i na njih staviti sjenila jer se onda između balkona i stana napravi 'tampon zona' i svakako se tako smanjuje količina topline koja prodire u stan.
- Dobro je provjetravati stan. Tijekom dana prozori mogu biti otvoreni na kipu kako bi zrak mogao strujati, ali ako tada ipak ulazi previše topline mogu se zatvorti. Tijekom noći, kada su temperature ipak nešto niže dobro je otvoriti što više prozora, pogotovo ako su na sjevernoj strani.
- Biljke i zelenilo također imaju klimatizacijsku ulogu, a još su k tome prirodan i dekorativan dodatak kućanstvu.
Dodatni trikovi:
- Termofor! Iako ga najčešće koristimo u zimskim mjesecima, nema potrebe rezervirati ga samo za hladne dane. U vrućim ljetnim periodima hladna voda u termoforu može rashladiti krevet i učiniti san ugodnijim.
- Lagana i prozračna odjeća, kao i lagani, 'hladni' materijali za zavjese i prekrivače također pripomažu ugodnosti i osjećaju rashlađenja.
- S obzirom da topli zrak više voli visine, nije ni čudo da mnoge kulture gdje se dnevne temperature penju daleko iznad 35 stupnjeva Celzijusa mnogo toga rade na podu – jedu, spavaju, piju čajeve i druže se. To se ne uklapa u našu kulturu, ali može pomoći pri rashlađenju, pa se, recimo, popodnevni odmor uz knjigu može preseliti na pod. Naravno, ako si složimo udobnu i mekanu prostirku.
- Također, preporučljivo je isključiti uređaje koji vam nisu prijeko potrebni. Osim toga, ako je moguće zamijenite konvencionalne žarulje i koristite one koje se puno manje zagrijavaju jer i to prilično utječe na podizanje žive u termometru.

Grijanje i hlađenje čine trećinu godišnjeg računa za struju.
