Prije gotovo dva tisućljeća, rimski carevi i carice ratovali su jedni protiv drugih. Oružje koje su pritom najčešće birali bio je - otrov.

U 1. stoljeću nove ere, njihova omiljena trovačica bila je Lokusta​.

Priču o jednoj od najsmrtonosnijih žena Rima, takozvanoj Crnoj udovici, donosi National Geographic.

Izuzev činjenice da je bila ozloglašeni ubojica, u povijesnim spisima ima jako malo podataka o Lokusti iz Galije.

Tko je bila žena koju je car Neron nazivao svojom carskom trovačicom?

Kako je misteriozna Lokusta došla u Rim?

Otrovi koje je miješala Lokusta iz Galije ubili su nekoliko članova rimskog plemstva u 1. stoljeću nove ere. Pa ipak, ostala je tajanstvena. Na osnovi njezinog imena znamo da je potjecala iz Galije, današnje Francuske, i da je svoje znanje o biljkama  i otrovima ponijela sa sobom u prijestolnicu carstva.

Moguće je da je u Rim stigla kao robinja. U prethodnom stoljeću, nakon pohoda Julija Cezara u Galiju, u Cartsvo je stiglo oko milijun robova.

Međutim, ova robinja je bila zanimljivija od mnogih drugih. Privukla je pažnju Julijevsko-Klaudijevske dinastije, toliko da joj se 54. godine nove ere carica osobno obratila zatraživši da ubije njezina muža.

Agripina i Lokusta

Agripina Mlađa udala se za cara Klaudija - a zatim ga ubila.

Prema Tacitu, carica se "odavno bila odlučila na zločin" i željela je "neki rijetki napitak koji bi poremetio njegov um i donio mu sporu smrt" kako nitko ne bi posumnjao u zločin.

Agripina se obratila Lokusti, "osobi vještoj u takvim stvarima... koja je nedavno bila osuđena za trovanje."

Lokusta je pripremila otrov kojim su sluge posule carev posljednji obrok. Ali budući da je otrov djelovao sporije no što je bila zamislila, carica je svom suprugu podvalila još jednu dozu.

Klaudije je bio mrtav, a Agripina je mogla na prijestolje postaviti svoga sina iz prethodnog braka - poznatog cara Nerona.

Otrov u starom Rimu

Agripina nije bila jedina koja je otrovala člana obitelji.

Carski dvor je toliko vrvio otrovima da su mnogi članovi angažirali degustatore hrane.

Nakon Klaudijeve smrti, Lokusta od Galije nestala je iz povijesnih knjiga. Sve dok car Neron nije odlučio ubiti jednog od svojih najvećih rivala. Tada se opet pojavljuje Lokusta.

Otrov ga je postavio na prijestolje pa ga je Neron nastavio koristiti kako ništa ne bi ugrozilo njegov položaj. Car je postao sumnjičav prema svom polubratu Britaniku. Klaudijev sin kojeg je dobio s trećom ženom, Britanik, imao je veće pravo na prijestolje od Nerona, koji nije imao Klaudijevu krv.

Tacit kaže kako je Neron otišao do "žene po imenu Lokusta, s reputacijom zločinca, koja je bila osuđena za trovanje".

Neron je zahtijevao otrov koji bi odmah ubio Britanika. Obećao je trovačici pomilovanje u zamjenu za smrtonosnu mješavinu. Tako je Lokusta napravila mješavinu velebije, arsena, kukurijeka i mandragore.

Ipak, otrov nije ubio Britanika. Neron je pobjesnio i išibao Lokustu. Zatim joj je naredio da testira nove, moćnije otrove - na ljudima.

Lokusta je uskoro usavršila svoj recept. Na carskoj večeri, sluge su donijele Britaniku toplo piće. Degustator ga je testirao i nije našao otrov. Britanik je zatim naredio slugama da ohlade piće, što su i učinili - dodavanjem otrovne vode.

Britanik je već nakon prvog gutljaja pao na zemlju. Neron je naredio da nitko ne dira tijelo, tvrdeći da njegov polubrat ima epileptični napadaj.

Uspješan posao je donio je Lokusti bogatstvo. Neron ju je službeno proglasio svojom glavnom trovačicom i dao joj imanje i sluge. Neron joj je također slao učenike koji su od nje učili zanat.

Je li Lokusta iz Galije bila serijski ubojica?

Neki opisuju Lokustu kao oportunisticu, koja je zarađivala od carske obitelji. Međutim, drugi je vide kao hladnokrvnog ubicu. Je li Lokusta bila oportunist ili jedan od prvih serijskih ubojica u povijesti?

Izvori malo govore o njezinom životu. Moguće je da je kao robinja bila prisiljena praviti otrove. Tacit kaže da su i Agripina i Neron saznali za Lokustu kad je zbog pravljenja otrova dospjela u zatvor. Lokusta možda nije imala drugog izbora nego pristati kad su carica i car pojavili ispred nje.

S druge strane, Lokusta je prikazana kao nemilosrdna žena koja je testirala svoje otrove na nevinima. Pod Neronovim budnim okom, Lokusta je trovala robove dok nije usavršila smrtonosnu dozu. Međutim, Gaj Svetonije Trankvil kaže da je to činila jer joj je Neron prijetio.

Drugi izvori tvrde da je Lokusta ubijala neselektivno. Trovala je životinje, robove i kriminalce - i nekoliko članova carske obitelji. Neki je smatraju serijskim ubojicom zbog dugačke liste leševa koje je ostavila za sobom, piše National Geographic.

Otrovi koje je miješala Lokusta iz Galije ubili su nekoliko članova rimskog plemstva u 1. stoljeću nove ere. Pa ipak, ostala je tajanstvena. Na osnovi njezinog imena znamo da je potjecala iz Galije, današnje Francuske, i da je svoje znanje o biljkama  i otrovima ponijela sa sobom u prijestolnicu carstva.

Moguće je da je u Rim stigla kao robinja. U prethodnom stoljeću, nakon pohoda Julija Cezara u Galiju, u Cartsvo je stiglo oko milijun robova.

Međutim, ova robinja je bila zanimljivija od mnogih drugih. Privukla je pažnju Julijevsko-Klaudijevske dinastije, toliko da joj se 54. godine nove ere carica osobno obratila zatraživši da ubije njezina muža.

Agripina i Lokusta

Agripina Mlađa udala se za cara Klaudija - a zatim ga ubila.

Prema Tacitu, carica se "odavno bila odlučila na zločin" i željela je "neki rijetki napitak koji bi poremetio njegov um i donio mu sporu smrt" kako nitko ne bi posumnjao u zločin.

Agripina se obratila Lokusti, "osobi vještoj u takvim stvarima... koja je nedavno bila osuđena za trovanje."

Lokusta je pripremila otrov kojim su sluge posule carev posljednji obrok. Ali budući da je otrov djelovao sporije no što je bila zamislila, carica je svom suprugu podvalila još jednu dozu.

Klaudije je bio mrtav, a Agripina je mogla na prijestolje postaviti svoga sina iz prethodnog braka - poznatog cara Nerona.

Otrov u starom Rimu

Agripina nije bila jedina koja je otrovala člana obitelji.

Carski dvor je toliko vrvio otrovima da su mnogi članovi angažirali degustatore hrane.

Nakon Klaudijeve smrti, Lokusta od Galije nestala je iz povijesnih knjiga. Sve dok car Neron nije odlučio ubiti jednog od svojih najvećih rivala. Tada se opet pojavljuje Lokusta.

Otrov ga je postavio na prijestolje pa ga je Neron nastavio koristiti kako ništa ne bi ugrozilo njegov položaj. Car je postao sumnjičav prema svom polubratu Britaniku. Klaudijev sin kojeg je dobio s trećom ženom, Britanik, imao je veće pravo na prijestolje od Nerona, koji nije imao Klaudijevu krv.

Tacit kaže kako je Neron otišao do "žene po imenu Lokusta, s reputacijom zločinca, koja je bila osuđena za trovanje".

Neron je zahtijevao otrov koji bi odmah ubio Britanika. Obećao je trovačici pomilovanje u zamjenu za smrtonosnu mješavinu. Tako je Lokusta napravila mješavinu velebije, arsena, kukurijeka i mandragore.

Ipak, otrov nije ubio Britanika. Neron je pobjesnio i išibao Lokustu. Zatim joj je naredio da testira nove, moćnije otrove - na ljudima.

Lokusta je uskoro usavršila svoj recept. Na carskoj večeri, sluge su donijele Britaniku toplo piće. Degustator ga je testirao i nije našao otrov. Britanik je zatim naredio slugama da ohlade piće, što su i učinili - dodavanjem otrovne vode.

Britanik je već nakon prvog gutljaja pao na zemlju. Neron je naredio da nitko ne dira tijelo, tvrdeći da njegov polubrat ima epileptični napadaj.

Uspješan posao je donio je Lokusti bogatstvo. Neron ju je službeno proglasio svojom glavnom trovačicom i dao joj imanje i sluge. Neron joj je također slao učenike koji su od nje učili zanat.

Je li Lokusta iz Galije bila serijski ubojica?

Neki opisuju Lokustu kao oportunisticu, koja je zarađivala od carske obitelji. Međutim, drugi je vide kao hladnokrvnog ubicu. Je li Lokusta bila oportunist ili jedan od prvih serijskih ubojica u povijesti?

Izvori malo govore o njezinom životu. Moguće je da je kao robinja bila prisiljena praviti otrove. Tacit kaže da su i Agripina i Neron saznali za Lokustu kad je zbog pravljenja otrova dospjela u zatvor. Lokusta možda nije imala drugog izbora nego pristati kad su carica i car pojavili ispred nje.

S druge strane, Lokusta je prikazana kao nemilosrdna žena koja je testirala svoje otrove na nevinima. Pod Neronovim budnim okom, Lokusta je trovala robove dok nije usavršila smrtonosnu dozu. Međutim, Gaj Svetonije Trankvil kaže da je to činila jer joj je Neron prijetio.

Drugi izvori tvrde da je Lokusta ubijala neselektivno. Trovala je životinje, robove i kriminalce - i nekoliko članova carske obitelji. Neki je smatraju serijskim ubojicom zbog dugačke liste leševa koje je ostavila za sobom, piše National Geographic.

Prije gotovo dva tisućljeća, rimski carevi i carice ratovali su jedni protiv drugih. Oružje koje su pritom najčešće birali bio je - otrov.

U 1. stoljeću nove ere, njihova omiljena trovačica bila je Lokusta​.

Priču o jednoj od najsmrtonosnijih žena Rima, takozvanoj Crnoj udovici, donosi National Geographic.

Izuzev činjenice da je bila ozloglašeni ubojica, u povijesnim spisima ima jako malo podataka o Lokusti iz Galije.
