Luksuzna modna kuća Balenciaga predstavila je seriju grubih, oštećenih tenisica, koje prodaje po vrtoglavim cijenama.
Cipele pohabane do neprepoznatljivosti za kampanju je snimio Leopold Duchemin, a fotografije su odmah postale hit na internetu.
Međutim, fotografije uništenih tenisica koje kruže društvenim mrežama ne otkrivaju cijelu priču. Iako su izazvale najviše kontroverzi, slike su zapravo pretjerana verzija, ograničeno izdanje tenisica ovog brenda.
Prema najavama, samo sto pari "ekstra uništenih" tenisica moći će se kupiti za 1850 dolara. U međuvremenu, neograničeno izdanje i manje grube verzije prodaju se na web stranici Balenciaga za 495 i 625 dolara, ovisno o modelu.
U priopćenju za javnost, brend sa sjedištem u Parizu rekao je da fotografije kampanje prikazuju izrazito istrošene i prljave cipele. Balenciaga opisuje tenisicu kao "preuređen klasični dizajn", koji je dovršen "oštrim platnom i grubim rubovima, što utječe na već nošeni izgled".
Navodi se da portreti "sugeriraju da Paris Sneaker treba nositi cijeli život" - točka koja se čini posebno relevantnom usred rastućih razgovora o industriji brze mode i utjecaju prekomjerne potrošnje na planet.

Demna Gvasalia, kreativni direktor brenda, poznat je po svom inovativnom stilu, a ovo nije prvi put da su njegovi dizajni naišli na zbunjenost.
Primjerice, prije pet godina Balenciaga je predstavila torbu po cijeni od 2145 dolara, koja je ismijana zbog sličnosti s Ikeinom torbom "Frakta". U to vrijeme originalna Ikeina torba mogla se kupiti za 99 centi.
SoleSavy, web stranica koja sebe opisuje kao zajednicu za "prave tenisice", upitala je je li "trend starih tenisica" otišao predaleko.

Međutim, fotografije uništenih tenisica koje kruže društvenim mrežama ne otkrivaju cijelu priču. Iako su izazvale najviše kontroverzi, slike su zapravo pretjerana verzija, ograničeno izdanje tenisica ovog brenda.
Prema najavama, samo sto pari "ekstra uništenih" tenisica moći će se kupiti za 1850 dolara. U međuvremenu, neograničeno izdanje i manje grube verzije prodaju se na web stranici Balenciaga za 495 i 625 dolara, ovisno o modelu.
U priopćenju za javnost, brend sa sjedištem u Parizu rekao je da fotografije kampanje prikazuju izrazito istrošene i prljave cipele. Balenciaga opisuje tenisicu kao "preuređen klasični dizajn", koji je dovršen "oštrim platnom i grubim rubovima, što utječe na već nošeni izgled".
Navodi se da portreti "sugeriraju da Paris Sneaker treba nositi cijeli život" - točka koja se čini posebno relevantnom usred rastućih razgovora o industriji brze mode i utjecaju prekomjerne potrošnje na planet.
