Na 21. dan 21. godine 21. stoljeća Zagrebački Brass Quintet imao je čast održati prvi cjelovečernji koncert nekog sastava u novootvorenoj koncertnoj dvorani Hrvatskog doma Split.
Ovaj "mladi" kvintet djeluje od 2018., kada su trubači Peter Firšt i Alen Vađunec, hornist Ante Medvidović, trombonist Mate Đuzel i tubist Mihael Hrgar još bili studenti Muzičke akademije u Zagrebu. Njeguju raznovrstan repertoar, što su pokazali i splitskoj publici iznijevši program koji spaja suvremenu s pitkom filmskom glazbom.
Koncert je otvorila "Mala uvertira" Witolda Lutosławskog, prva skladba koju je poljski skladatelj napisao za takav komorni sastav. Uslijedila su "Četiri citata za puhače" Andréa Previna, uspješnog dirigenta, jazz pijanista i skladatelja klasične, jazz i filmske glazbe.
U prvom dijelu koncerta, koji je zaključen hommageom Enniju Morriconeu, kvintetu je nedostajalo energije, kompaktnosti, a povremeno i tehničke spretnosti. Mjestimične tromosti tubista i trubača u kompleksnijim melodijskim linijama te površno razrađeni detalji u nizu glazbenih uspješnica filmskih klasika okupljenih u "Trenutku za Morriconea", povremeni su nedostaci koji se nisu ponavljali nakon kratke stanke.
U izvedbi "Mjesečeve tuge" Damira Butigana, koji je i sam trubač pa u skladateljskom izričaju vješto slaže boje limenih puhača u zanimljive tonske slike, svi članovi kvinteta pokazali su zavidnu kompaktnost u nastupu uz vješto dinamičko nijansiranje.
ENERGIČNIJI DRUGI DIO
Nedostatak energičnosti iz prvog dijela koncerta kvintet je nadoknadio u izvedbi "Suite Americane" Enriquea Crespoa iznoseći s jednakim entuzijazmom stavke nadahnute ragtimeom te tradicijskom glazbom Perua i Meksika.
Program je zaključen izabranim songovima iz mjuzikla "Priča sa zapadne strane" u obradi Jacka Galea, za koji je glazbu napisao još jedan svestrani velikan, Leonard Bernstein.
Nit vodilja raznovrsnog programa bila je odavanje počasti nedavno preminulim skladateljima, Enniju Morriconeu (2020.), Enriqueu Crespu (2016.) i Andréu Previnu (2019.), a Zagrebački Brass Quintet pritom nije zaboravio ni na ikone hrvatske glazbe, izvevši u dodatku "Moj galebe".
Uz Zagrebački Brass Quintet započeo je ciklus "Koncerti četvorkom" u splitskoj koncertnoj dvorani, u kojoj zbog poštovanja epidemioloških mjera još uvijek može uživati samo malobrojna publika. Svi oni koji nisu na vrijeme kupili ulaznice, koncert su mogli pratiti u izravnom prijenosu na Facebooku.
Koncerti četvrtkom, barem za sada, nemaju programsku odrednicu, pa se na tjednoj bazi mogu očekivati solisti i različiti komorni sastavi, klasična, suvremena, jazz ili tradicijska glazba. U sumorno doba ionako depresivnog siječnja, glazba zaista liječi. Otiđite i vi po svoju dozu!

Na 21. dan 21. godine 21. stoljeća Zagrebački Brass Quintet imao je čast održati prvi cjelovečernji koncert nekog sastava u novootvorenoj koncertnoj dvorani Hrvatskog doma Split.
Ovaj "mladi" kvintet djeluje od 2018., kada su trubači Peter Firšt i Alen Vađunec, hornist Ante Medvidović, trombonist Mate Đuzel i tubist Mihael Hrgar još bili studenti Muzičke akademije u Zagrebu. Njeguju raznovrstan repertoar, što su pokazali i splitskoj publici iznijevši program koji spaja suvremenu s pitkom filmskom glazbom.
Koncert je otvorila "Mala uvertira" Witolda Lutosławskog, prva skladba koju je poljski skladatelj napisao za takav komorni sastav. Uslijedila su "Četiri citata za puhače" Andréa Previna, uspješnog dirigenta, jazz pijanista i skladatelja klasične, jazz i filmske glazbe.
U prvom dijelu koncerta, koji je zaključen hommageom Enniju Morriconeu, kvintetu je nedostajalo energije, kompaktnosti, a povremeno i tehničke spretnosti. Mjestimične tromosti tubista i trubača u kompleksnijim melodijskim linijama te površno razrađeni detalji u nizu glazbenih uspješnica filmskih klasika okupljenih u "Trenutku za Morriconea", povremeni su nedostaci koji se nisu ponavljali nakon kratke stanke.
U izvedbi "Mjesečeve tuge" Damira Butigana, koji je i sam trubač pa u skladateljskom izričaju vješto slaže boje limenih puhača u zanimljive tonske slike, svi članovi kvinteta pokazali su zavidnu kompaktnost u nastupu uz vješto dinamičko nijansiranje.
ENERGIČNIJI DRUGI DIO
Nedostatak energičnosti iz prvog dijela koncerta kvintet je nadoknadio u izvedbi "Suite Americane" Enriquea Crespoa iznoseći s jednakim entuzijazmom stavke nadahnute ragtimeom te tradicijskom glazbom Perua i Meksika.
Program je zaključen izabranim songovima iz mjuzikla "Priča sa zapadne strane" u obradi Jacka Galea, za koji je glazbu napisao još jedan svestrani velikan, Leonard Bernstein.
Nit vodilja raznovrsnog programa bila je odavanje počasti nedavno preminulim skladateljima, Enniju Morriconeu (2020.), Enriqueu Crespu (2016.) i Andréu Previnu (2019.), a Zagrebački Brass Quintet pritom nije zaboravio ni na ikone hrvatske glazbe, izvevši u dodatku "Moj galebe".
Uz Zagrebački Brass Quintet započeo je ciklus "Koncerti četvorkom" u splitskoj koncertnoj dvorani, u kojoj zbog poštovanja epidemioloških mjera još uvijek može uživati samo malobrojna publika. Svi oni koji nisu na vrijeme kupili ulaznice, koncert su mogli pratiti u izravnom prijenosu na Facebooku.
Koncerti četvrtkom, barem za sada, nemaju programsku odrednicu, pa se na tjednoj bazi mogu očekivati solisti i različiti komorni sastavi, klasična, suvremena, jazz ili tradicijska glazba. U sumorno doba ionako depresivnog siječnja, glazba zaista liječi. Otiđite i vi po svoju dozu!
