Lista najgledanijih serija na Netflixu mogla bi ubrzo dobiti novi poredak nakon što je južnokorejska "Igra lignje" ("Squid Game") počela osvajati svijet munjevitom brzinom. Od premijere 17. rujna naovamo, "Igra lignje" je dan po dan postala najgledanija u 90 zemalja svijeta, uključujući i Hrvatsku.

"Squid Game" je po izlasku debitirala na osmom mjestu tekuće američke liste gledanosti, da bi se već idućeg dana domogla drugog, a ubrzo potom i zauzela sami vrh.

To je prva južnokorejska serija kojoj je to uspjelo. Obično anglofone serije drmaju američkom listom gledanosti, npr. unatrag godinu dana "Bridgerton", "Shadow and Bone" i "Ginny and Georgia", a "Lupin" i "La casa de papel" su rijetki izuzetak "top-ten" megahitova izvan engleskog govornog područja.

Zanimljivo, "Igra lignje" je na putu da prestigne i "Lupina" i "Kuću od papira" po gledanosti. Međutim, "Squid Game" neće samo postati najgledanija Netflixova "non-English-language" serija. Nije, naime, isključeno i da s trona skine "Bridgerton" kao najgledaniju Netflixovu seriju uopće.

"Igra lignje" je novi južnokorejski fenomen kao što je to nedavno bio Oscarima ovjenčani film "Parazit".

Južnokorejska kinematografija je u strelovitom usponu posljednjih godina ("Sluškinja", "Došljak", "Vlak za Busan", "Izgaranje"...), a probudila se i serijski (također Netflixovo "Kraljevstvo").

Zajednička nit koja povezuje većinu ovih filmova/serija, osim kvalitete, jest tematika društvene nejednakosti koja potresa Koreju, ali i ostatak svijeta.

U tom smislu, "Squid Game" se nastavlja direktno na "Parasite", dijeleći temu i skladatelja (Jung Jae-il), dok bi filmofili mogli prepoznati i glumca iz "Train to Busan" (Gong Yoo).

Upravo njegov lik, u kreditima zaveden kao The Salesman, nudi glavnom protagonistu serije, siromašnom Seongu Gi-hunu (Jung-jae Lee), priliku da se obogati.

"Želite li igrati igru", The Salesman pita Seonga, jednog od 400-tinjak ljudi koji će se prijaviti da za šest dana odigraju šest različitih igara i nađu se u utrci za veliku novčanu nagradu.

Seong i ostali su nesvjesni da se radi o igrama na život i smrt, surovoj bitki za opstanak, u kojima samo pobjednik ostaje živ i uzima sve, pozamašnu svotu novca iz goleme kasice-prasice, a tko izgubi – umire.

Predstavljanje Seonga i drugih važnijih likova, kao što su Cho Sang-woo (Park Hae-soo), Kang Sae-byeok (Jung Ho-yeon)..., otkriva da svi žive na rubu ili imaju dugove koje ne mogu isplatiti.

Gledatelj samo čeka da u kadar "Igre lignje" uleti i neki član familije Kim iz "Parazita" kad se kamera počne zavlačiti u siromašne dijelove grada.

Kad igrači dođu na tajanstveno mjestu za igru i igre započnu, jasno je da je "Squid Game" inspiriran distopijskim futurističkim filmovima kao što su "The Running Man", "Battle Royale" i "The Hunger Games" ili hororima poput "Slagalice strave", odnosno natjecateljskim reality showovima današnjice, ali i da pritom nudi nešto originalno i subverzivno, što je čini najprovokativnijom (i ponajboljom) serijom godine.

Serija se odvija u realističkom okviru i futurističke su samo jezive crvene odore čuvara, kao i maska "Vodećeg čovjeka" (nalik Marvelovom Dr. Doomu i Darthu Vaderu), organizatora koji sve nadgleda.

Ubojite igre koje se igraju su nevine dječje, što je kontrapunkt ekstremnom nasilju i krvi kad igrači počnu stradavati. "Ubijate nas dok igramo igru za djecu", zavapit će jedan od igrača.

Prva igra je "Crveno svjetlo, zeleno svjetlo" i igrači mogu ići naprijed dok dječja robotska lutka govori njezin naziv, a ako se pomaknu kad stane, bit će eliminirani.

U tenzičnu, režijski upečatljivu scenu uvlači se opipljiva panika kad igračima dođe do glave u što su se uvalili i meci počnu skidati neukipljene među njima, pri čemu stradava nekih 250-ak ljudi, a krv stradalih prskati preživjele natjecatelje po licu.

Druga igra je, primjerice, potezanje konopa, ali na način da se konop poteže s dvije strane između visokog procjepa i da gubitnici padaju ravno u smrt.

Gledatelj je zarana navučen na seriju i zanima ga što će biti dalje do posljednje devete epizode, koje će se igre igrati i tko će preživjeti/pobijediti.

Serija uspijeva pronaći humanost u tom opstanku, a moralno je provokativna u propitivanju modernog društva i društvene nejednakosti, ali i ljudskosti i voajerizma, pri čemu je gledatelj sveden na ulogu promatrača poput "Vodećeg čovjeka".

Što ste spremni napraviti da pod svaku cijenu preživite i osvojite novac? Biste li nekog potpunog stranca ili čak prijatelja poslali za to u smrt?

Igrači mogu prekinuti igru glasovanjem većine, no kako igra ide dalje i novac je sve veći, to baš i neće napraviti. Siromaštvo i život u dugu nisu ništa bitno manje užasni od igre iz horora. "Igre gladi" sitom ne vjeruju.

Lista najgledanijih serija na Netflixu mogla bi ubrzo dobiti novi poredak nakon što je južnokorejska "Igra lignje" ("Squid Game") počela osvajati svijet munjevitom brzinom. Od premijere 17. rujna naovamo, "Igra lignje" je dan po dan postala najgledanija u 90 zemalja svijeta, uključujući i Hrvatsku.

"Squid Game" je po izlasku debitirala na osmom mjestu tekuće američke liste gledanosti, da bi se već idućeg dana domogla drugog, a ubrzo potom i zauzela sami vrh.

To je prva južnokorejska serija kojoj je to uspjelo. Obično anglofone serije drmaju američkom listom gledanosti, npr. unatrag godinu dana "Bridgerton", "Shadow and Bone" i "Ginny and Georgia", a "Lupin" i "La casa de papel" su rijetki izuzetak "top-ten" megahitova izvan engleskog govornog područja.

Zanimljivo, "Igra lignje" je na putu da prestigne i "Lupina" i "Kuću od papira" po gledanosti. Međutim, "Squid Game" neće samo postati najgledanija Netflixova "non-English-language" serija. Nije, naime, isključeno i da s trona skine "Bridgerton" kao najgledaniju Netflixovu seriju uopće.

"Igra lignje" je novi južnokorejski fenomen kao što je to nedavno bio Oscarima ovjenčani film "Parazit".

Južnokorejska kinematografija je u strelovitom usponu posljednjih godina ("Sluškinja", "Došljak", "Vlak za Busan", "Izgaranje"...), a probudila se i serijski (također Netflixovo "Kraljevstvo").

Zajednička nit koja povezuje većinu ovih filmova/serija, osim kvalitete, jest tematika društvene nejednakosti koja potresa Koreju, ali i ostatak svijeta.

U tom smislu, "Squid Game" se nastavlja direktno na "Parasite", dijeleći temu i skladatelja (Jung Jae-il), dok bi filmofili mogli prepoznati i glumca iz "Train to Busan" (Gong Yoo).

Upravo njegov lik, u kreditima zaveden kao The Salesman, nudi glavnom protagonistu serije, siromašnom Seongu Gi-hunu (Jung-jae Lee), priliku da se obogati.

"Želite li igrati igru", The Salesman pita Seonga, jednog od 400-tinjak ljudi koji će se prijaviti da za šest dana odigraju šest različitih igara i nađu se u utrci za veliku novčanu nagradu.

Seong i ostali su nesvjesni da se radi o igrama na život i smrt, surovoj bitki za opstanak, u kojima samo pobjednik ostaje živ i uzima sve, pozamašnu svotu novca iz goleme kasice-prasice, a tko izgubi – umire.

Predstavljanje Seonga i drugih važnijih likova, kao što su Cho Sang-woo (Park Hae-soo), Kang Sae-byeok (Jung Ho-yeon)..., otkriva da svi žive na rubu ili imaju dugove koje ne mogu isplatiti.

Gledatelj samo čeka da u kadar "Igre lignje" uleti i neki član familije Kim iz "Parazita" kad se kamera počne zavlačiti u siromašne dijelove grada.

Kad igrači dođu na tajanstveno mjestu za igru i igre započnu, jasno je da je "Squid Game" inspiriran distopijskim futurističkim filmovima kao što su "The Running Man", "Battle Royale" i "The Hunger Games" ili hororima poput "Slagalice strave", odnosno natjecateljskim reality showovima današnjice, ali i da pritom nudi nešto originalno i subverzivno, što je čini najprovokativnijom (i ponajboljom) serijom godine.

Serija se odvija u realističkom okviru i futurističke su samo jezive crvene odore čuvara, kao i maska "Vodećeg čovjeka" (nalik Marvelovom Dr. Doomu i Darthu Vaderu), organizatora koji sve nadgleda.

Ubojite igre koje se igraju su nevine dječje, što je kontrapunkt ekstremnom nasilju i krvi kad igrači počnu stradavati. "Ubijate nas dok igramo igru za djecu", zavapit će jedan od igrača.

Prva igra je "Crveno svjetlo, zeleno svjetlo" i igrači mogu ići naprijed dok dječja robotska lutka govori njezin naziv, a ako se pomaknu kad stane, bit će eliminirani.

U tenzičnu, režijski upečatljivu scenu uvlači se opipljiva panika kad igračima dođe do glave u što su se uvalili i meci počnu skidati neukipljene među njima, pri čemu stradava nekih 250-ak ljudi, a krv stradalih prskati preživjele natjecatelje po licu.

Druga igra je, primjerice, potezanje konopa, ali na način da se konop poteže s dvije strane između visokog procjepa i da gubitnici padaju ravno u smrt.

Gledatelj je zarana navučen na seriju i zanima ga što će biti dalje do posljednje devete epizode, koje će se igre igrati i tko će preživjeti/pobijediti.

Serija uspijeva pronaći humanost u tom opstanku, a moralno je provokativna u propitivanju modernog društva i društvene nejednakosti, ali i ljudskosti i voajerizma, pri čemu je gledatelj sveden na ulogu promatrača poput "Vodećeg čovjeka".

Što ste spremni napraviti da pod svaku cijenu preživite i osvojite novac? Biste li nekog potpunog stranca ili čak prijatelja poslali za to u smrt?

Igrači mogu prekinuti igru glasovanjem većine, no kako igra ide dalje i novac je sve veći, to baš i neće napraviti. Siromaštvo i život u dugu nisu ništa bitno manje užasni od igre iz horora. "Igre gladi" sitom ne vjeruju.
