Tko bi rekao da joj je već sedamdeset? Nije lako boriti se svakodnevno s morskim mijenama i ćudima vremena, no ovoj ‘kućici’ u Uvali Lapad taj izazov nije težak.
Mareografska postaja u Dubrovniku postavljena je sada već daleke 1954. godine i od tada kontinuirano mjeri visine razine mora. Iako bi neupućeni mogli pomisliti da je taj posao ravan razbibrizi, on ni po čemu nije za šaliti se, pojašnjavaju nam iz splitskog Hrvatskog hidrografskog instituta koji skrbi o dubrovačkom i rijetkim ostalih mareografima diljem Jadrana:

- Izmjereni podaci iznimno su važni za regulaciju plovidbe u luci Dubrovnik vezano za sigurnost plovidbe. Također omogućavaju i izradu novih pomorskih navigacijskih karata i planova šireg dubrovačkog akvatorija. Prikupljeni podaci važni su za proučavanje i procjenu trenda porasta srednje razine mora, kao i za određivanje referentnih ploha pri obavljanju hidrografskih i geodetskih izmjera. Mareografska postaja za mjerenje visina razine mora koristi mehanički uređaj koji izmjerene podatke visina razine mora bilježi na papir - ističu iz Insitutta i potvrđuju da je i u tom segmentu tehnologija poprilično uznapredovala:
- U posljednjih 20 godina mareografska postaja je u više navrata modernizirana s digitalnim pretvaračem. Ovime se dobila mogućnost digitalnog zapisa i prijenosa izmjerenih podataka. Ovi podaci dostupni su na web stranicama Instituta.

Osim na dubrovačkoj postaji, Hrvatski hidrografski institut mjeri visine razine mora i na maregrafskim postajama u Rovinju, Rijeci, Zadru, Splitu i Pločama.
Problem je jedino u tome što fotografija mareografa starijeg datuma nema, a iz HHI objašnjavaju iz zbog čega:
- Na žalost nismo Vam u mogućnosti poslati neke stare fotografije dubrovačkog mareografa jer je veliki dio arhivskih fotografija izgubljen u Domovinskom ratu - pojašnjavaju iz Instituta.

Tko bi rekao da joj je već sedamdeset? Nije lako boriti se svakodnevno s morskim mijenama i ćudima vremena, no ovoj ‘kućici’ u Uvali Lapad taj izazov nije težak.
Mareografska postaja u Dubrovniku postavljena je sada već daleke 1954. godine i od tada kontinuirano mjeri visine razine mora. Iako bi neupućeni mogli pomisliti da je taj posao ravan razbibrizi, on ni po čemu nije za šaliti se, pojašnjavaju nam iz splitskog Hrvatskog hidrografskog instituta koji skrbi o dubrovačkom i rijetkim ostalih mareografima diljem Jadrana:

- Izmjereni podaci iznimno su važni za regulaciju plovidbe u luci Dubrovnik vezano za sigurnost plovidbe. Također omogućavaju i izradu novih pomorskih navigacijskih karata i planova šireg dubrovačkog akvatorija. Prikupljeni podaci važni su za proučavanje i procjenu trenda porasta srednje razine mora, kao i za određivanje referentnih ploha pri obavljanju hidrografskih i geodetskih izmjera. Mareografska postaja za mjerenje visina razine mora koristi mehanički uređaj koji izmjerene podatke visina razine mora bilježi na papir - ističu iz Insitutta i potvrđuju da je i u tom segmentu tehnologija poprilično uznapredovala:

Osim na dubrovačkoj postaji, Hrvatski hidrografski institut mjeri visine razine mora i na maregrafskim postajama u Rovinju, Rijeci, Zadru, Splitu i Pločama.
Problem je jedino u tome što fotografija mareografa starijeg datuma nema, a iz HHI objašnjavaju iz zbog čega:
- Na žalost nismo Vam u mogućnosti poslati neke stare fotografije dubrovačkog mareografa jer je veliki dio arhivskih fotografija izgubljen u Domovinskom ratu - pojašnjavaju iz Instituta.
