Nakon što je proradio pročistač u Komolcu, pitka se voda razbistrila za većinu dubrovačkih potrošača, no kod jačih kiša od nadležnih opet stižu upozorenja o povišenoj mutnoći na izvorištu Palate zbog čega se na području Vrbice, Štikovice te Malog i Velikog Zatona voda ne preporučuje za piće.

Zbog čega se na pojedinim izvorištima još događaju zamućenja, raspitali smo se u Vodovodu Dubrovnik:

- Na području Grada Dubrovnika nalaze se tri veća izvorišta pod nadzorom Vodovoda Dubrovnik – Ombla, Šumet i Palata. S Omble se opskrbljuje najveći dio gradskog područja - od Zlatnog potoka, preko Mokošice do dijela Vrbice, dok se s Palate opskrbljuju stanovnici Zatona, Orašca, Gornjih sela, Trstenog, Brsečina, Štikovice, dijela Vrbice (iznad magistrale) te Elafita, a izvorište Šumet koristi se za vodoopskrbu istoimenog naselja. Zamućenja su prirodna pojava koja se događa prilikom obilnijih padalina, a prošle godine zabilježene su tri takve pojave na izvorištu Palate te jedna na izvorištu Šumeta. Njihovo trajanje ovisi o vremenskim prilikama i u pravilu su vezane uz vrijeme trajanja obilnijih padalina – objašnjava glasnogovornik Vodovoda Tihomir Matić i otkriva kako trenutačno u sklopu vodoopskrbnog sustava Palate Vodovod Dubrovnik ima 2647 korisnika u kategoriji domaćinstva, dok je u sklopu sustava Šumet njih 84.

- Izgradnjom pročistača pitke vode u Komolcu riješen je dugogodišnji problem zamućenja za veći dio grada, tj. za sve dijelove vodoopskrbnog sustava Omble, dok će se za ostatak područja Grada Dubrovnika taj problem riješiti kroz projekt Aglomeracije Dubrovnik. Iako su prvi koraci oko spajanja sustava Omble i Palate već bili napravljeni kroz projekt Štikovica – Vrbica – Lozica do naselja Mokošica, kako bi se povezalo vodoopskrbni sustav Palate s pročistačem pitke vode, trebalo je izgraditi ili rekonstruirati dodatne dijelove mreže od izvorišta u Zatonu do vodospreme Vrbica, što je trenutno u tijeku – ističe Matić. Dodaje kako će se do kraja projekta izgraditi dvije nove crpne stanice – Palata 2 i Lozica te rekonstruirati crpnu stanicu Štikovica, dok će se vodosprema Vrbica dodatno proširiti te rekonstruirati postojeći cjevovod od nje do izvorišta Palata.

- Dovršetkom tih radova, za vrijeme trajanja budućih zamućenja Palate, omogućit će se privremena opskrba naselja koja pripadaju tom vodoopskrbnom sustava s uređaja za pročišćavanje pitke vode u Komolcu. Na isti način riješit će se i opskrba pitkom vodom za područje Šumeta, također radovima koje će Vodovod Dubrovnik izvesti u sklopu Aglomeracije Dubrovnik. To će tamošnjim stanovnicima omogućiti nesmetanu opskrbu pitkom vodom kroz cijelu godinu, neovisno o vremenskim prilikama – najava je iz dubrovačkog Vodovoda.

Nakon što je proradio pročistač u Komolcu, pitka se voda razbistrila za većinu dubrovačkih potrošača, no kod jačih kiša od nadležnih opet stižu upozorenja o povišenoj mutnoći na izvorištu Palate zbog čega se na području Vrbice, Štikovice te Malog i Velikog Zatona voda ne preporučuje za piće.

Zbog čega se na pojedinim izvorištima još događaju zamućenja, raspitali smo se u Vodovodu Dubrovnik:

- Na području Grada Dubrovnika nalaze se tri veća izvorišta pod nadzorom Vodovoda Dubrovnik – Ombla, Šumet i Palata. S Omble se opskrbljuje najveći dio gradskog područja - od Zlatnog potoka, preko Mokošice do dijela Vrbice, dok se s Palate opskrbljuju stanovnici Zatona, Orašca, Gornjih sela, Trstenog, Brsečina, Štikovice, dijela Vrbice (iznad magistrale) te Elafita, a izvorište Šumet koristi se za vodoopskrbu istoimenog naselja. Zamućenja su prirodna pojava koja se događa prilikom obilnijih padalina, a prošle godine zabilježene su tri takve pojave na izvorištu Palate te jedna na izvorištu Šumeta. Njihovo trajanje ovisi o vremenskim prilikama i u pravilu su vezane uz vrijeme trajanja obilnijih padalina – objašnjava glasnogovornik Vodovoda Tihomir Matić i otkriva kako trenutačno u sklopu vodoopskrbnog sustava Palate Vodovod Dubrovnik ima 2647 korisnika u kategoriji domaćinstva, dok je u sklopu sustava Šumet njih 84.

- Izgradnjom pročistača pitke vode u Komolcu riješen je dugogodišnji problem zamućenja za veći dio grada, tj. za sve dijelove vodoopskrbnog sustava Omble, dok će se za ostatak područja Grada Dubrovnika taj problem riješiti kroz projekt Aglomeracije Dubrovnik. Iako su prvi koraci oko spajanja sustava Omble i Palate već bili napravljeni kroz projekt Štikovica – Vrbica – Lozica do naselja Mokošica, kako bi se povezalo vodoopskrbni sustav Palate s pročistačem pitke vode, trebalo je izgraditi ili rekonstruirati dodatne dijelove mreže od izvorišta u Zatonu do vodospreme Vrbica, što je trenutno u tijeku – ističe Matić. Dodaje kako će se do kraja projekta izgraditi dvije nove crpne stanice – Palata 2 i Lozica te rekonstruirati crpnu stanicu Štikovica, dok će se vodosprema Vrbica dodatno proširiti te rekonstruirati postojeći cjevovod od nje do izvorišta Palata.

- Dovršetkom tih radova, za vrijeme trajanja budućih zamućenja Palate, omogućit će se privremena opskrba naselja koja pripadaju tom vodoopskrbnom sustava s uređaja za pročišćavanje pitke vode u Komolcu. Na isti način riješit će se i opskrba pitkom vodom za područje Šumeta, također radovima koje će Vodovod Dubrovnik izvesti u sklopu Aglomeracije Dubrovnik. To će tamošnjim stanovnicima omogućiti nesmetanu opskrbu pitkom vodom kroz cijelu godinu, neovisno o vremenskim prilikama – najava je iz dubrovačkog Vodovoda.
