Povodom Međunarodnog dana žena Dubrovačke knjižnice organizirale su predavanje „Rodni stereotipi u medijima“ sveučilišne profesorice, književnice i urednice dr. sc. Lidije Dujić, koje se održalo, 6. ožujka 2024. u Ogranku Lapad.
Polazeći od konkretnih iskustava u radu sa studentima na kolegiju Rodni stereotipi i novinarstvo (diplomskog studija Komunikologija, mediji i novinarstvo Sveučilišta Sjever), Lidija Dujić govorila je o rodnim aspektima prepoznatljivim u recentnim medijskim sadržajima – od rodno neosjetljivog jezika, preko rodnih stereotipa i predrasuda u reklamno-oglašivačkoj industriji, ulozi humora u sitcomima te seksizmu i mizoginiji u javnom diskursu.
Mediji često različite diskriminacijske prakse distribuiraju, a nerijetko ih i sami proizvode.
Rodni stereotipi se pojavljuju u različitim ideologijama što ukazuje na ukorijenjenost ove sterotipnosti u društvu koja seže do toga da je onaj tko je u njoj ukorijenjen i ne primjećuje. Pomoću humora stereotipi se ‘najbezbolnije’ prezentiraju i bivaju prisutni u javnom diskursu što je Dujić prikazala analizom dvaju humorističkih serija “Dva i pol muškarca” i “Zvonili ste milorde”.
Do kojih granica može sezati nerazumijevanje rodnih stereotipa pokazala je Dujić primjerom marketinškog pokušaja da se kroz posebnu seriju keksa “Domaćica” uz koje su dodana zanimanja žena pokaže društvena korektnost i pozove javnost na razbijanje rodnih stereotipa. Kampanja je izazvala suprotne učinke, a njezini pokretači umjesto da su priznali da je kontraproduktivna, pokušali su tražiti da se promijeni definicija riječi ‘domaćica’.
Dujić je također primjerima iskaza osoba iz javnog života ukazala na društvenu neosviještenost i ukorijenjenost rodne stereotipije čijemu opstanku mediji, što zbog namjere da ih podrže, a što zbog samog nerazumijevanja problema, nerijetko pogoduju.

Povodom Međunarodnog dana žena Dubrovačke knjižnice organizirale su predavanje „Rodni stereotipi u medijima“ sveučilišne profesorice, književnice i urednice dr. sc. Lidije Dujić, koje se održalo, 6. ožujka 2024. u Ogranku Lapad.
Polazeći od konkretnih iskustava u radu sa studentima na kolegiju Rodni stereotipi i novinarstvo (diplomskog studija Komunikologija, mediji i novinarstvo Sveučilišta Sjever), Lidija Dujić govorila je o rodnim aspektima prepoznatljivim u recentnim medijskim sadržajima – od rodno neosjetljivog jezika, preko rodnih stereotipa i predrasuda u reklamno-oglašivačkoj industriji, ulozi humora u sitcomima te seksizmu i mizoginiji u javnom diskursu.
Mediji često različite diskriminacijske prakse distribuiraju, a nerijetko ih i sami proizvode.
Rodni stereotipi se pojavljuju u različitim ideologijama što ukazuje na ukorijenjenost ove sterotipnosti u društvu koja seže do toga da je onaj tko je u njoj ukorijenjen i ne primjećuje. Pomoću humora stereotipi se ‘najbezbolnije’ prezentiraju i bivaju prisutni u javnom diskursu što je Dujić prikazala analizom dvaju humorističkih serija “Dva i pol muškarca” i “Zvonili ste milorde”.
Do kojih granica može sezati nerazumijevanje rodnih stereotipa pokazala je Dujić primjerom marketinškog pokušaja da se kroz posebnu seriju keksa “Domaćica” uz koje su dodana zanimanja žena pokaže društvena korektnost i pozove javnost na razbijanje rodnih stereotipa. Kampanja je izazvala suprotne učinke, a njezini pokretači umjesto da su priznali da je kontraproduktivna, pokušali su tražiti da se promijeni definicija riječi ‘domaćica’.
Dujić je također primjerima iskaza osoba iz javnog života ukazala na društvenu neosviještenost i ukorijenjenost rodne stereotipije čijemu opstanku mediji, što zbog namjere da ih podrže, a što zbog samog nerazumijevanja problema, nerijetko pogoduju.
