Predsjednik Vladimir Putin tijekom govora obilježavanja 80. godišnjice oslobađanja Lenjingrada od nacista ustvrdio je da je Rusija u egzistencijalnom geopolitičkom sukobu s navodnim modernim nacističkim pokretom koji se proteže izvan Ukrajine.

Putin se opetovano koristi retorikom koja povezuje baltičke države s nacizmom kako bi iskrivio povijesne događaje i zanijekao sovjetsku represiju. Primjerice, 2007. Putin je optužio Estoniju i Latviju za "otvoreno veličanje nacista i njihovih pomagača" nakon što je održan neslužbeni dan sjećanja na latvijske i estonske divizije Waffen SS, koje su se borile protiv sovjetske okupacije. Putin je također 2022. optužio Latviju, Litvu i Estoniju za ksenofobiju, rekavši da tretiraju svoje etničke ruske manjine kao "ljude drugog reda", piše Jutarnji list. 

Sličnim rječnikom koristio se i na otvaranju spomenika sovjetskim žrtvama nacističkog genocida u Lenjingradskoj oblasti 27. siječnja, rekavši da će Rusija "učiniti sve da suzbije i konačno istrijebi nacizam". Bjeloruski predsjednik Aleksandar Lukašenko također je prisustvovao ceremoniji i izjavio da su Bjelorusija i Rusija "ponovno suočene s pitanjem prava na život naše civilizacije i očuvanja nasljeđa kulturnih vrijednosti".

Predsjednik ruske Državne dume Vjačeslav Volodin je izjavio da "fašistička ideologija postaje norma za čelnike država NATO-a" i optužio američkog predsjednika Joea Bidena, kanadskog premijera Justina Trudeaua, britanskog premijera Rishija Sunaka, francuskog predsjednika Emmanuela Macrona i njemačkog kancelara Olafa Scholza da su sponzorirali genocid u Ukrajini. Volodin je opisao ovaj navodni rastući fašistički pokret u Europi kao "opasan put koji bi mogao dovesti do novog svjetskog rata". Ravnatelj ruske vanjske obavještajne službe Sergej Nariškin također je izjavio da Rusija neće stati na pola puta u svojoj borbi protiv nacističkih sljedbenika.

Od početka ruske sveobuhvatne invazije u veljači 2022. Putin "hrani" strah etničkih Rusa i govornika ruskog jezika koji žive na Baltiku upozoravajući ih na navodne opasnosti od nacista, a kako bi opravdao svoju vojnu agresiju na Ukrajinu.

Optužbe za nacizam dio su Putinove ideologije koju koristi za podupiranje geopolitičkog sukoba sa Zapadom koji podsjeća na hladni rat, ističe Institut za istraživanje rata (ISW). Poziv na "denacifikaciju" Ukrajine zapravo je slabo prikriveni zahtjev za promjenom režima.

Ruski dužnosnici i prije su lijepili oznaku "nacizma" zapadnim državama i akterima izvan Ukrajine. No, Putinova, Lukašenkova, Volodinova i Nariškinova koordinirana retorika 27. siječnja sugerira da bi Kremlj mogao sve više označavati bilo kojeg percipiranog protivnika, a možda i cijeli Zapad kao "nacistički", kako bi postavio uvjete za budući potencijalni napad na članice NATO-a pod krinkom zaštite ruskih sunarodnjaka u inozemstvu i zaštite od navodne nacističke politike.

Kremlj možda vjeruje da je ovaj narativ također lakše koordinirati od dosadašnjeg apela na etničke Ruse i koncepta "ruskog mira". Moskva, naime, želi postaviti Rusiju kao glavnog aktera unutar "svjetske većine", koju je definirala kao "civilizacijsku i kulturnu zajednicu koja se objektivno suprotstavlja Zapadu". Kremlj se možda nada da će "borba protiv fašizma" biti lakša retorička linija za koordinaciju sa željenim partnerima unutar te fiktivne "svjetske većine", ističe ISW.

Predsjednik Vladimir Putin tijekom govora obilježavanja 80. godišnjice oslobađanja Lenjingrada od nacista ustvrdio je da je Rusija u egzistencijalnom geopolitičkom sukobu s navodnim modernim nacističkim pokretom koji se proteže izvan Ukrajine.

Putin se opetovano koristi retorikom koja povezuje baltičke države s nacizmom kako bi iskrivio povijesne događaje i zanijekao sovjetsku represiju. Primjerice, 2007. Putin je optužio Estoniju i Latviju za "otvoreno veličanje nacista i njihovih pomagača" nakon što je održan neslužbeni dan sjećanja na latvijske i estonske divizije Waffen SS, koje su se borile protiv sovjetske okupacije. Putin je također 2022. optužio Latviju, Litvu i Estoniju za ksenofobiju, rekavši da tretiraju svoje etničke ruske manjine kao "ljude drugog reda", piše Jutarnji list. 

Sličnim rječnikom koristio se i na otvaranju spomenika sovjetskim žrtvama nacističkog genocida u Lenjingradskoj oblasti 27. siječnja, rekavši da će Rusija "učiniti sve da suzbije i konačno istrijebi nacizam". Bjeloruski predsjednik Aleksandar Lukašenko također je prisustvovao ceremoniji i izjavio da su Bjelorusija i Rusija "ponovno suočene s pitanjem prava na život naše civilizacije i očuvanja nasljeđa kulturnih vrijednosti".

Predsjednik ruske Državne dume Vjačeslav Volodin je izjavio da "fašistička ideologija postaje norma za čelnike država NATO-a" i optužio američkog predsjednika Joea Bidena, kanadskog premijera Justina Trudeaua, britanskog premijera Rishija Sunaka, francuskog predsjednika Emmanuela Macrona i njemačkog kancelara Olafa Scholza da su sponzorirali genocid u Ukrajini. Volodin je opisao ovaj navodni rastući fašistički pokret u Europi kao "opasan put koji bi mogao dovesti do novog svjetskog rata". Ravnatelj ruske vanjske obavještajne službe Sergej Nariškin također je izjavio da Rusija neće stati na pola puta u svojoj borbi protiv nacističkih sljedbenika.

Od početka ruske sveobuhvatne invazije u veljači 2022. Putin "hrani" strah etničkih Rusa i govornika ruskog jezika koji žive na Baltiku upozoravajući ih na navodne opasnosti od nacista, a kako bi opravdao svoju vojnu agresiju na Ukrajinu.

Optužbe za nacizam dio su Putinove ideologije koju koristi za podupiranje geopolitičkog sukoba sa Zapadom koji podsjeća na hladni rat, ističe Institut za istraživanje rata (ISW). Poziv na "denacifikaciju" Ukrajine zapravo je slabo prikriveni zahtjev za promjenom režima.

Ruski dužnosnici i prije su lijepili oznaku "nacizma" zapadnim državama i akterima izvan Ukrajine. No, Putinova, Lukašenkova, Volodinova i Nariškinova koordinirana retorika 27. siječnja sugerira da bi Kremlj mogao sve više označavati bilo kojeg percipiranog protivnika, a možda i cijeli Zapad kao "nacistički", kako bi postavio uvjete za budući potencijalni napad na članice NATO-a pod krinkom zaštite ruskih sunarodnjaka u inozemstvu i zaštite od navodne nacističke politike.

Kremlj možda vjeruje da je ovaj narativ također lakše koordinirati od dosadašnjeg apela na etničke Ruse i koncepta "ruskog mira". Moskva, naime, želi postaviti Rusiju kao glavnog aktera unutar "svjetske većine", koju je definirala kao "civilizacijsku i kulturnu zajednicu koja se objektivno suprotstavlja Zapadu". Kremlj se možda nada da će "borba protiv fašizma" biti lakša retorička linija za koordinaciju sa željenim partnerima unutar te fiktivne "svjetske većine", ističe ISW.
