Hrvatska Davis Cup reprezentacija povela je sa 1-0 u polufinalnom dvoboju protiv Srbije na završnom turniru u Madridu, nakon što je u prvom pojedinačnom dvoboju Borna Gojo svladao 33. tenisača svijeta Dušana Lajovića sa 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 za jedan sat i 58 minuta, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Bio je to treći nastup 23-godišnjeg Splićanina i treća Gojina pobjeda koji se pretvorio u pravog junaka hrvatske Davis Cup reprezentacije.

Na putu Hrvatske do polufinala Gojo je postao najugodnije iznenađenje cjelopkupnog završnog turnira Davis Cupa, a u skladu sa stečenom reputacijom započeo je i dvoboj protiv 33. tenisača svijeta, Dušana Lajovića. U prvom gemu je na servisu izvukao 0-30, u drugom je došao do 'breaka' nakon što je srbijanski reprezentativac imao 40-0.

Gojo je bio opušten i razigran, što mu je omogućilo iskorištavanje pogrešaka suparnika, kojih je u početku dvoboja bilo napretek. Hrvatski reprezentativac je došao do vodstva 4-1 i činilo se da mu je prvi set već bio "u džepu". No, onda se dogodio veliki preokret.

Kod 4-2 i 40-0, ničim izazvan, 23-godišnji Splićanin počeo je nizati pogreške jednu za drugom. Lajović je ušao u seriju od 13 uzastopnih poena i dvaput oduzeo servis Goji. Hrvatski tenisač je do kraja seta uspio osvojiti svega jedan od 18 odigranih poena pa je Lajović nakon 42 minute došao do značajne prednosti.

Otvaranje drugog seta bilo je kopija viđenoga na početku meča, jer je Gojo osvojio prva tri gema, da bi nakon tri izjednačenja u četvrtom gemu ostao bez nove prilike za 'break', a u sljedećem izgubio servis.

No, za razliku od prve dionice, Gojo u drugom setu nije imao takav pad u igri. Ostao je vjeran taktici čekanja na pogreške suparnika, koje su počele dolaziti u nizovima pa je već u šestom gemu hrvatski tenisač došao do novog 'breaka'. Stečenu prednost je lakoćom zadržao i nakon 86 minuta igre izborio odlučujući set.

Za razliku od prvog seta, u kojem je napravio 12 neforsiranih pogrešaka, Gojo je u drugom ostao na samo pet, dok ih je Lajović imao čak 15.

Igru iz drugog seta Gojo je prenio i u odlučujući, u kojem je uz dva 'breaka' osvojio prva četiri gema. Lajović je bio potpuno nemoćan pa je nakon gotovo dva sata igre Borna Gojo došao do pobjede i doveo hrvatsku reprezentaciju pred vrata četvrtog plasmana u finale Davis Cupa.

Hrvatska Davis Cup reprezentacija povela je sa 1-0 u polufinalnom dvoboju protiv Srbije na završnom turniru u Madridu, nakon što je u prvom pojedinačnom dvoboju Borna Gojo svladao 33. tenisača svijeta Dušana Lajovića sa 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 za jedan sat i 58 minuta, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Bio je to treći nastup 23-godišnjeg Splićanina i treća Gojina pobjeda koji se pretvorio u pravog junaka hrvatske Davis Cup reprezentacije.

Na putu Hrvatske do polufinala Gojo je postao najugodnije iznenađenje cjelopkupnog završnog turnira Davis Cupa, a u skladu sa stečenom reputacijom započeo je i dvoboj protiv 33. tenisača svijeta, Dušana Lajovića. U prvom gemu je na servisu izvukao 0-30, u drugom je došao do 'breaka' nakon što je srbijanski reprezentativac imao 40-0.

Gojo je bio opušten i razigran, što mu je omogućilo iskorištavanje pogrešaka suparnika, kojih je u početku dvoboja bilo napretek. Hrvatski reprezentativac je došao do vodstva 4-1 i činilo se da mu je prvi set već bio "u džepu". No, onda se dogodio veliki preokret.

Kod 4-2 i 40-0, ničim izazvan, 23-godišnji Splićanin počeo je nizati pogreške jednu za drugom. Lajović je ušao u seriju od 13 uzastopnih poena i dvaput oduzeo servis Goji. Hrvatski tenisač je do kraja seta uspio osvojiti svega jedan od 18 odigranih poena pa je Lajović nakon 42 minute došao do značajne prednosti.

Otvaranje drugog seta bilo je kopija viđenoga na početku meča, jer je Gojo osvojio prva tri gema, da bi nakon tri izjednačenja u četvrtom gemu ostao bez nove prilike za 'break', a u sljedećem izgubio servis.

No, za razliku od prve dionice, Gojo u drugom setu nije imao takav pad u igri. Ostao je vjeran taktici čekanja na pogreške suparnika, koje su počele dolaziti u nizovima pa je već u šestom gemu hrvatski tenisač došao do novog 'breaka'. Stečenu prednost je lakoćom zadržao i nakon 86 minuta igre izborio odlučujući set.

Za razliku od prvog seta, u kojem je napravio 12 neforsiranih pogrešaka, Gojo je u drugom ostao na samo pet, dok ih je Lajović imao čak 15.

Igru iz drugog seta Gojo je prenio i u odlučujući, u kojem je uz dva 'breaka' osvojio prva četiri gema. Lajović je bio potpuno nemoćan pa je nakon gotovo dva sata igre Borna Gojo došao do pobjede i doveo hrvatsku reprezentaciju pred vrata četvrtog plasmana u finale Davis Cupa.

Hrvatska Davis Cup reprezentacija povela je sa 1-0 u polufinalnom dvoboju protiv Srbije na završnom turniru u Madridu, nakon što je u prvom pojedinačnom dvoboju Borna Gojo svladao 33. tenisača svijeta Dušana Lajovića sa 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 za jedan sat i 58 minuta, donosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Bio je to treći nastup 23-godišnjeg Splićanina i treća Gojina pobjeda koji se pretvorio u pravog junaka hrvatske Davis Cup reprezentacije.

Na putu Hrvatske do polufinala Gojo je postao najugodnije iznenađenje cjelopkupnog završnog turnira Davis Cupa, a u skladu sa stečenom reputacijom započeo je i dvoboj protiv 33. tenisača svijeta, Dušana Lajovića. U prvom gemu je na servisu izvukao 0-30, u drugom je došao do 'breaka' nakon što je srbijanski reprezentativac imao 40-0.

Gojo je bio opušten i razigran, što mu je omogućilo iskorištavanje pogrešaka suparnika, kojih je u početku dvoboja bilo napretek. Hrvatski reprezentativac je došao do vodstva 4-1 i činilo se da mu je prvi set već bio "u džepu". No, onda se dogodio veliki preokret.

Kod 4-2 i 40-0, ničim izazvan, 23-godišnji Splićanin počeo je nizati pogreške jednu za drugom. Lajović je ušao u seriju od 13 uzastopnih poena i dvaput oduzeo servis Goji. Hrvatski tenisač je do kraja seta uspio osvojiti svega jedan od 18 odigranih poena pa je Lajović nakon 42 minute došao do značajne prednosti.

Otvaranje drugog seta bilo je kopija viđenoga na početku meča, jer je Gojo osvojio prva tri gema, da bi nakon tri izjednačenja u četvrtom gemu ostao bez nove prilike za 'break', a u sljedećem izgubio servis.

No, za razliku od prve dionice, Gojo u drugom setu nije imao takav pad u igri. Ostao je vjeran taktici čekanja na pogreške suparnika, koje su počele dolaziti u nizovima pa je već u šestom gemu hrvatski tenisač došao do novog 'breaka'. Stečenu prednost je lakoćom zadržao i nakon 86 minuta igre izborio odlučujući set.

Za razliku od prvog seta, u kojem je napravio 12 neforsiranih pogrešaka, Gojo je u drugom ostao na samo pet, dok ih je Lajović imao čak 15.

Igru iz drugog seta Gojo je prenio i u odlučujući, u kojem je uz dva 'breaka' osvojio prva četiri gema. Lajović je bio potpuno nemoćan pa je nakon gotovo dva sata igre Borna Gojo došao do pobjede i doveo hrvatsku reprezentaciju pred vrata četvrtog plasmana u finale Davis Cupa.
