Trebao je imati borbu ove subote u Manchesteru, ali od nje ništa.

- Iskočila su mi dva diska, pritišću živac... Ruka mi trne, lijeva ruka – javio se Antun Račić. Nedavno je pričao o borbi, pripremama, Jacku Cartwrightu, suparniku u AO Areni na priredbi Oktagon 48..

Spomenuto tad sitne problem, a njih je, nažalost, bilo.

- Non stop je kod mene pun gas. Nakon prvog sparinga pripremajući se za meč s Cartwrightom sam istegnuo ligament na nozi, zatim nedugo nakon toga pukne mi čelo. Imao sam deset šavova te sam zbog toga u nastavku priprema morao raditi s kacigom... Kad te ne ide, onda te ne ide. Uglavnom, što se tiče ozljeda, nikad teže pripreme – istaknuo je Račić, ali oba ‘sitna’ problema nisu razlog zbog čega je otkazao borbu.

- Od početka priprema, kad bi radio hrvanje, presjeklo bi me, recimo, jednom u pet treninga. Potom se to događalo nekad i dva puta u pet treninga, ali, sve misliš, ništa strašno. Bit će to u redu. Međutim, ovaj tjedan... Nije išlo, otišao sam i napravio magnetsku. Liječnici su rekli: ‘Bolje preskočiti borbu’.

I tako je Račić drugi put u karijeri morao otkazati borbu.

- Najgore mi je, što sam se na početku ovog tjedna, unatoč svemu, nadao kako ću se boriti s nekom blokadom. Međutim, moje najjače oružje je hrvanje, a liječnici kažu: ‘Nemoj ovo, nemoj ono, treba paziti na ovo, treba paziti na ono...’ Ne može se tako u borbu. Ne može.

Prvi put je otkazao borbu zbog ozljede koljena. Tad je bilo jasno, ne može se na nogu, i kraj. Što sad kažu liječnici?

- Ne znam odgovor na pitanje kad bih opet mogao u borbu. Nadam se što prije. Jedan od mojih trenera je u svojoj karijeri imao isti problem i uspio se oporaviti za tri, četiri mjeseca... Nije mi bilo svejedno kad je ne samo jedan liječnik rekao kako bi nastupom riskirao da se sve pogorša, te kako bi onda morao na operaciju. Radije sam otkazao borbu i probat ću problem riješiti treningom, a ne operacijom. Napravit ću pauzu. Dolazim sutra doma, bit ću u Župi do iza Nove godine. Ići ću dole u nas na fizikalnu. Potom ćemo vidjeti kako je...  Nadam se kako ću za koji mjesec biti opet spreman – rekao je Račić u razgovoru za Dubrovački vjesnik.

Trebala je ovo biti 40. borba u karijeri 33-godišnjeg borca iz Župe dubrovačke.

- Ma da četrdeset puta voziš utrke, nešto bi se dogodilo autu, u najboljem slučaju bi ga ostrugo, neki dio bi se pokvario i trebalo bi ga zamijenit, a kako neće čovjeku kad se četrdeset puta tuče... – kaže Račić, koji je svoj debi među profesionalcima imao prije više od 14 godina, 25. travnja 2009. godine, koji ima više od 70 posto uspješnosti. Bio je vlasnik pojasa KSW prvaka bantam kategorije...

Trebao je imati borbu ove subote u Manchesteru, ali od nje ništa.

- Iskočila su mi dva diska, pritišću živac... Ruka mi trne, lijeva ruka – javio se Antun Račić. Nedavno je pričao o borbi, pripremama, Jacku Cartwrightu, suparniku u AO Areni na priredbi Oktagon 48..

Spomenuto tad sitne problem, a njih je, nažalost, bilo.

- Non stop je kod mene pun gas. Nakon prvog sparinga pripremajući se za meč s Cartwrightom sam istegnuo ligament na nozi, zatim nedugo nakon toga pukne mi čelo. Imao sam deset šavova te sam zbog toga u nastavku priprema morao raditi s kacigom... Kad te ne ide, onda te ne ide. Uglavnom, što se tiče ozljeda, nikad teže pripreme – istaknuo je Račić, ali oba ‘sitna’ problema nisu razlog zbog čega je otkazao borbu.

- Od početka priprema, kad bi radio hrvanje, presjeklo bi me, recimo, jednom u pet treninga. Potom se to događalo nekad i dva puta u pet treninga, ali, sve misliš, ništa strašno. Bit će to u redu. Međutim, ovaj tjedan... Nije išlo, otišao sam i napravio magnetsku. Liječnici su rekli: ‘Bolje preskočiti borbu’.

I tako je Račić drugi put u karijeri morao otkazati borbu.

- Najgore mi je, što sam se na početku ovog tjedna, unatoč svemu, nadao kako ću se boriti s nekom blokadom. Međutim, moje najjače oružje je hrvanje, a liječnici kažu: ‘Nemoj ovo, nemoj ono, treba paziti na ovo, treba paziti na ono...’ Ne može se tako u borbu. Ne može.

Prvi put je otkazao borbu zbog ozljede koljena. Tad je bilo jasno, ne može se na nogu, i kraj. Što sad kažu liječnici?

- Ne znam odgovor na pitanje kad bih opet mogao u borbu. Nadam se što prije. Jedan od mojih trenera je u svojoj karijeri imao isti problem i uspio se oporaviti za tri, četiri mjeseca... Nije mi bilo svejedno kad je ne samo jedan liječnik rekao kako bi nastupom riskirao da se sve pogorša, te kako bi onda morao na operaciju. Radije sam otkazao borbu i probat ću problem riješiti treningom, a ne operacijom. Napravit ću pauzu. Dolazim sutra doma, bit ću u Župi do iza Nove godine. Ići ću dole u nas na fizikalnu. Potom ćemo vidjeti kako je...  Nadam se kako ću za koji mjesec biti opet spreman – rekao je Račić u razgovoru za Dubrovački vjesnik.

Trebala je ovo biti 40. borba u karijeri 33-godišnjeg borca iz Župe dubrovačke.

- Ma da četrdeset puta voziš utrke, nešto bi se dogodilo autu, u najboljem slučaju bi ga ostrugo, neki dio bi se pokvario i trebalo bi ga zamijenit, a kako neće čovjeku kad se četrdeset puta tuče... – kaže Račić, koji je svoj debi među profesionalcima imao prije više od 14 godina, 25. travnja 2009. godine, koji ima više od 70 posto uspješnosti. Bio je vlasnik pojasa KSW prvaka bantam kategorije...
