Prije tridesetak godina bili su među dominantnim žanrovima, a danas životare u debeloj sjeni videoigara i blockbustera o superherojima koji su im trajno oduzeli primat. Akcijski trileri vojne tematike danas su se na velikom platnu toliko prorijedili da svaki novi izolirani primjer izaziva pozornost.

Tako je i ‘Zemlja loših‘ (Land of bad‘) kod poklonika žara dočekana s optimizmom, no finalni proizvod baš i nije izazvao euforiju kakvu pamtimo iz vremena ‘Pada crnog jastreba‘ ili nešto svježijeg ‘Snajperista‘.

A film na prvi pogled sadrži sve što bi se od njega očekivalo, od vječne američke upletenosti u zbivanja u Trećem svijetu, preko nabrijane akcije izvlačenja talaca, do male smotre modernog naoružanja kojim se navođeni projektili lansiraju iz tisućama milja udaljenih uredskih fotelja. Proslov filma publici naznačuje sve opasnosti ratne zone Suluskog mora i sluti na punokrvnu pustolovinu.

‘Zemlja loših‘, dakle, papirnato djeluje intrigantno, no kad krene razrada, počnu se, sloj po sloj, ljuštiti sve manjkavosti. Prva i najočitija je porozan scenarij koji radnju smješta u filipinske džungle gdje se doslovce ne zna tko pije, a tko plaća. Navalni tim američkih Delta Force specijalaca se, jednako kao i gledatelj, nađe usred sveopćeg meteža po kojemu pretrčavaju do zuba naoružani egzotični teroristi bez jasnog ustroja i motivacije. S druge strane ciljnika, u stožeru US Army, logističari su operacije kojima je košarkaška utakmica važnija od sigurnosti tima ubačenog na Filipine.

Iz te se družine donekle izdvaja tek domoljubni kapetan Reaper kao računalna potpora terenskoj ekipi. Junak je to očito nesređenog privatnog života koji nam je tek posredno spomenut. Reapera rutinski glumi oskarovac Russell Crowe čija pojava ukazuje na žurnu potrebu za više fizičke aktivnosti. No, i tako masivan i flegmatičan u nastupu ostavlja snažniji dojam od cijele postrojbe slabo profiliranih specijalaca kojima u realnom vremenu asistira u dalekom svijetu.

Druga nosiva uloga pripala je Liamu Hemsworthu. Nevjerni suprug glazbene zvijezde Miley Cyrus kao mlađahni narednik Kinney ovdje je gotovo svjetlosnom brzinom iz isprepadanog logističara stasao u nemilosrdnog ratnika: njegovo vatreno krštenje ne mogu omesti ni raketni bacači ni waterboarding, čovjek je naprosto neuništiv, a to nagriza uvjerljivost filma koji po njegovoj glumi baš i ne odskače od prosjeka.

Podzastupljenost žena izričito je prisutna, jedina glumica ovdje je dobroćudna narednica Nia (glumi je Chika Ikogwe), čiji je lik hodajući klišej. Glavni pak antagonist islamski radikal Saeed Hashimi (Robert Rabiah) niti djeluje zastrašujuće niti ima ikakvu smislenu misiju osim sklonosti prema staromodnom ratovanju ‘licem u lice‘. Njegova interakcija s Kinneyem je banalna, baš kao i podzemni kavezi u kojemu izlaže zatočenike, među njima i glavnu meto za izvlačenej, američkog doušnika na kojeg su od početka filma svi ionako zaborvaili.

Djelo američkog redatelja Williama Eubanka (Signal, 2014.) sporadično isporučuje atraktivne balističke scene koji srećom isključuju inače loše dijaloške forme. Filmu, međutim, odmaže snažna doza patetike, te sklonost dociranju o patriotizmu i važnosti satelitskog ratovanja za dobrobit čovječanstva. Tko se nadao da će ‘Zemlja loših‘ biti znak oporavka militarističkih akcijskih trilera, ostat će razočaran.

Prije tridesetak godina bili su među dominantnim žanrovima, a danas životare u debeloj sjeni videoigara i blockbustera o superherojima koji su im trajno oduzeli primat. Akcijski trileri vojne tematike danas su se na velikom platnu toliko prorijedili da svaki novi izolirani primjer izaziva pozornost.

Tako je i ‘Zemlja loših‘ (Land of bad‘) kod poklonika žara dočekana s optimizmom, no finalni proizvod baš i nije izazvao euforiju kakvu pamtimo iz vremena ‘Pada crnog jastreba‘ ili nešto svježijeg ‘Snajperista‘.

A film na prvi pogled sadrži sve što bi se od njega očekivalo, od vječne američke upletenosti u zbivanja u Trećem svijetu, preko nabrijane akcije izvlačenja talaca, do male smotre modernog naoružanja kojim se navođeni projektili lansiraju iz tisućama milja udaljenih uredskih fotelja. Proslov filma publici naznačuje sve opasnosti ratne zone Suluskog mora i sluti na punokrvnu pustolovinu.

‘Zemlja loših‘, dakle, papirnato djeluje intrigantno, no kad krene razrada, počnu se, sloj po sloj, ljuštiti sve manjkavosti. Prva i najočitija je porozan scenarij koji radnju smješta u filipinske džungle gdje se doslovce ne zna tko pije, a tko plaća. Navalni tim američkih Delta Force specijalaca se, jednako kao i gledatelj, nađe usred sveopćeg meteža po kojemu pretrčavaju do zuba naoružani egzotični teroristi bez jasnog ustroja i motivacije. S druge strane ciljnika, u stožeru US Army, logističari su operacije kojima je košarkaška utakmica važnija od sigurnosti tima ubačenog na Filipine.

Iz te se družine donekle izdvaja tek domoljubni kapetan Reaper kao računalna potpora terenskoj ekipi. Junak je to očito nesređenog privatnog života koji nam je tek posredno spomenut. Reapera rutinski glumi oskarovac Russell Crowe čija pojava ukazuje na žurnu potrebu za više fizičke aktivnosti. No, i tako masivan i flegmatičan u nastupu ostavlja snažniji dojam od cijele postrojbe slabo profiliranih specijalaca kojima u realnom vremenu asistira u dalekom svijetu.

Druga nosiva uloga pripala je Liamu Hemsworthu. Nevjerni suprug glazbene zvijezde Miley Cyrus kao mlađahni narednik Kinney ovdje je gotovo svjetlosnom brzinom iz isprepadanog logističara stasao u nemilosrdnog ratnika: njegovo vatreno krštenje ne mogu omesti ni raketni bacači ni waterboarding, čovjek je naprosto neuništiv, a to nagriza uvjerljivost filma koji po njegovoj glumi baš i ne odskače od prosjeka.

Podzastupljenost žena izričito je prisutna, jedina glumica ovdje je dobroćudna narednica Nia (glumi je Chika Ikogwe), čiji je lik hodajući klišej. Glavni pak antagonist islamski radikal Saeed Hashimi (Robert Rabiah) niti djeluje zastrašujuće niti ima ikakvu smislenu misiju osim sklonosti prema staromodnom ratovanju ‘licem u lice‘. Njegova interakcija s Kinneyem je banalna, baš kao i podzemni kavezi u kojemu izlaže zatočenike, među njima i glavnu meto za izvlačenej, američkog doušnika na kojeg su od početka filma svi ionako zaborvaili.

Djelo američkog redatelja Williama Eubanka (Signal, 2014.) sporadično isporučuje atraktivne balističke scene koji srećom isključuju inače loše dijaloške forme. Filmu, međutim, odmaže snažna doza patetike, te sklonost dociranju o patriotizmu i važnosti satelitskog ratovanja za dobrobit čovječanstva. Tko se nadao da će ‘Zemlja loših‘ biti znak oporavka militarističkih akcijskih trilera, ostat će razočaran.
