Turisti s Novog Zelanda vratili su se nakon 53 godine u Dubrovnik kako bi se slikali na istom mjestu na gradskim zidinama kao te davne 1969.
- Kad sam se ponovno odlučio posjetiti Dubrovnik ove godine, ni trenutka nisam dvojio: pokušat ću ponoviti ovu fotografiju, naveo je Russell Armitage u pismu uredništvu The Dubrovnik Timesa.

- Dubrovnik sam prvi put posjetio u lipnju 1969. na proputovanju iz Velike Britanije u Grčku s četvero prijatelja. U to vrijeme zemlja se zvala Jugoslavija i bila je pod Titovom vladavinom, a turista je bilo puno manje nego danas. Otprilike 10 posto današnjeg broja, iako je Grad redovito privlačio turiste, još od Drugog svjetskog rata. Proveli smo tada u Dubrovniku noć ili dvije, a obišli smo prekrasne gradske zidine potpuno besplatno, prisjetio se Russell koji je ovog ljetas odlučio 'obnoviti' fotografiju sa zidina koristeći kao modele sebe, svoju sestru Judy i sestrinu prijateljicu Tinu iz Finske.
- Bilo mi je prilično šokantno čuti da posjet gradskim zidinama više nije besplatan, nego treba platiti ogroman iznos od oko 50 australskih dolara. Nas troje je tako ovaj 'photosession' stajao 150 australskih dolara. No, pomislio sam, novac ipak ide u dobru svrhu – očuvanje zidina. - naveo je Russell.

Opisujući zahtjevno iskustvo obilaska gradskih zidina 2022., Novozelanđanin je potvrdio kako je za fotografiranje pronašao identično mjesto kao 1969. Fotografirao ih je čileanski mladi bračni par koji je medeni mjesec proveo upravo u Dubrovniku. Russell ih je zamolio da ih fotografiraju, na što su oni rado pristali i tako je nastala ova za Armitagea – povijesna fotografija.
Posebno je sretan što je uspio ostvariti cilj, još i više jer je, kako priznaje, već u poznim godinama pa mu se bilo malo teško uspeti na zidine. No, vrijedilo je truda.

Turisti s Novog Zelanda vratili su se nakon 53 godine u Dubrovnik kako bi se slikali na istom mjestu na gradskim zidinama kao te davne 1969.
- Kad sam se ponovno odlučio posjetiti Dubrovnik ove godine, ni trenutka nisam dvojio: pokušat ću ponoviti ovu fotografiju, naveo je Russell Armitage u pismu uredništvu The Dubrovnik Timesa.

- Dubrovnik sam prvi put posjetio u lipnju 1969. na proputovanju iz Velike Britanije u Grčku s četvero prijatelja. U to vrijeme zemlja se zvala Jugoslavija i bila je pod Titovom vladavinom, a turista je bilo puno manje nego danas. Otprilike 10 posto današnjeg broja, iako je Grad redovito privlačio turiste, još od Drugog svjetskog rata. Proveli smo tada u Dubrovniku noć ili dvije, a obišli smo prekrasne gradske zidine potpuno besplatno, prisjetio se Russell koji je ovog ljetas odlučio 'obnoviti' fotografiju sa zidina koristeći kao modele sebe, svoju sestru Judy i sestrinu prijateljicu Tinu iz Finske.
- Bilo mi je prilično šokantno čuti da posjet gradskim zidinama više nije besplatan, nego treba platiti ogroman iznos od oko 50 australskih dolara. Nas troje je tako ovaj 'photosession' stajao 150 australskih dolara. No, pomislio sam, novac ipak ide u dobru svrhu – očuvanje zidina. - naveo je Russell.

Opisujući zahtjevno iskustvo obilaska gradskih zidina 2022., Novozelanđanin je potvrdio kako je za fotografiranje pronašao identično mjesto kao 1969. Fotografirao ih je čileanski mladi bračni par koji je medeni mjesec proveo upravo u Dubrovniku. Russell ih je zamolio da ih fotografiraju, na što su oni rado pristali i tako je nastala ova za Armitagea – povijesna fotografija.
Posebno je sretan što je uspio ostvariti cilj, još i više jer je, kako priznaje, već u poznim godinama pa mu se bilo malo teško uspeti na zidine. No, vrijedilo je truda.
