Podaci Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije pokazuju da se u protekla četiri desetljeća pretilost u EU-u utrostručila, a Hrvati su prema Eurostatu jedna od najdebljih europskih nacija, upozorava u povodu Svjetskog dana debljine specijalistica endokrinologije Maja Baretić.

Kako je došlo do toga? Veličine porcija slatkiša, grickalica i slatkih pića danas su za 20 do 100 posto veće nego 60-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, a prosječan Europljanin provodi više od pet sati na dan sjedeći, kaže Baretić, koja je voditeljica Referalnog centra za liječenje debljine Ministarstva zdravstva, piše Jutarnji list.

Tijekom pandemije covida-19 sjedi se sigurno i dulje od tih pet sati, a jedu se sve veće porcije hrane pa je lako moguće da se ostvare prognoze da će do 2030. godine više od polovice europskog stanovništva biti pretilo, ističe Baretić.

Ove godine Svjetski dan debljine obilježava se pod geslo "Svi se trebamo uključiti" jer se pojedinačno neće učiniti mnogo, a debljina je jedan od najvećih medicinskih izazova modernog doba.

Referalni centar za liječenje debljine, koji djeluje pri KBC-u Zagreb, ove je godine pokrenuo akciju u podizanju svijesti o problemu debljine u Zagrebu, Osijeku, Rijeci, Solinu i Sinju. U KBC-u Zagreb u podne će se mjeriti građanima tjelesna masa te davati savjeti i brošure.

U Hrvatskoj čak 65 posto odraslih s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom

Po podacima Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, prema indeksu tjelesne mase (ITM) normalnu tjelesnu masu je 2019. godine imalo 34 posto odraslih u Hrvatskoj, jedan posto je pothranjenih, a čak 65 posto bilo je s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom ili debljinom.

Što je viša dobna skupina, to je veći udio osoba s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom, najniži je u dobi od 18 do 24 godine - 27 posto, dok je među onima od 65 do 74 godine čak 79 posto.

Posebno zabrinjava i činjenica da je jedno od troje djece u dobi od 8 do 9 godina ima prekomjernu tjelesnu težinu za svoju dob što Hrvatsku stavlja među pet najgorih europskih zemalja, ističe Baretić.

Debljinu treba liječiti jer se 44 posto šećerne bolesti tipa 2 može pripisati upravo prekomjernoj težini, kao i 23 posto ishemijske bolesti srca, a između sedam i 41 posto određenih karcinoma nastaju zbog pretilosti.

Svake godine se do sedam posto zdravstvenih proračuna u članicama EU-a troši na bolesti koje se mogu povezati s pretilošću.

Liječenje uključuje promjenu životnih navika - ispravnu prehranu i redovitu fizičku aktivnost. Ako se to ne pokaže učinkovitim moguće je uvođenje farmakoterapije i operativno liječenje debljine, a mnogima je potrebna i psihološka podrška, piše živim.hr.

Podaci Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije pokazuju da se u protekla četiri desetljeća pretilost u EU-u utrostručila, a Hrvati su prema Eurostatu jedna od najdebljih europskih nacija, upozorava u povodu Svjetskog dana debljine specijalistica endokrinologije Maja Baretić.

Kako je došlo do toga? Veličine porcija slatkiša, grickalica i slatkih pića danas su za 20 do 100 posto veće nego 60-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, a prosječan Europljanin provodi više od pet sati na dan sjedeći, kaže Baretić, koja je voditeljica Referalnog centra za liječenje debljine Ministarstva zdravstva, piše Jutarnji list.

Tijekom pandemije covida-19 sjedi se sigurno i dulje od tih pet sati, a jedu se sve veće porcije hrane pa je lako moguće da se ostvare prognoze da će do 2030. godine više od polovice europskog stanovništva biti pretilo, ističe Baretić.

Ove godine Svjetski dan debljine obilježava se pod geslo "Svi se trebamo uključiti" jer se pojedinačno neće učiniti mnogo, a debljina je jedan od najvećih medicinskih izazova modernog doba.

Referalni centar za liječenje debljine, koji djeluje pri KBC-u Zagreb, ove je godine pokrenuo akciju u podizanju svijesti o problemu debljine u Zagrebu, Osijeku, Rijeci, Solinu i Sinju. U KBC-u Zagreb u podne će se mjeriti građanima tjelesna masa te davati savjeti i brošure.

U Hrvatskoj čak 65 posto odraslih s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom

Po podacima Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, prema indeksu tjelesne mase (ITM) normalnu tjelesnu masu je 2019. godine imalo 34 posto odraslih u Hrvatskoj, jedan posto je pothranjenih, a čak 65 posto bilo je s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom ili debljinom.

Što je viša dobna skupina, to je veći udio osoba s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom, najniži je u dobi od 18 do 24 godine - 27 posto, dok je među onima od 65 do 74 godine čak 79 posto.

Posebno zabrinjava i činjenica da je jedno od troje djece u dobi od 8 do 9 godina ima prekomjernu tjelesnu težinu za svoju dob što Hrvatsku stavlja među pet najgorih europskih zemalja, ističe Baretić.

Debljinu treba liječiti jer se 44 posto šećerne bolesti tipa 2 može pripisati upravo prekomjernoj težini, kao i 23 posto ishemijske bolesti srca, a između sedam i 41 posto određenih karcinoma nastaju zbog pretilosti.

Svake godine se do sedam posto zdravstvenih proračuna u članicama EU-a troši na bolesti koje se mogu povezati s pretilošću.

Liječenje uključuje promjenu životnih navika - ispravnu prehranu i redovitu fizičku aktivnost. Ako se to ne pokaže učinkovitim moguće je uvođenje farmakoterapije i operativno liječenje debljine, a mnogima je potrebna i psihološka podrška, piše živim.hr.

Podaci Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije pokazuju da se u protekla četiri desetljeća pretilost u EU-u utrostručila, a Hrvati su prema Eurostatu jedna od najdebljih europskih nacija, upozorava u povodu Svjetskog dana debljine specijalistica endokrinologije Maja Baretić.

Kako je došlo do toga? Veličine porcija slatkiša, grickalica i slatkih pića danas su za 20 do 100 posto veće nego 60-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, a prosječan Europljanin provodi više od pet sati na dan sjedeći, kaže Baretić, koja je voditeljica Referalnog centra za liječenje debljine Ministarstva zdravstva, piše Jutarnji list.

Tijekom pandemije covida-19 sjedi se sigurno i dulje od tih pet sati, a jedu se sve veće porcije hrane pa je lako moguće da se ostvare prognoze da će do 2030. godine više od polovice europskog stanovništva biti pretilo, ističe Baretić.

Ove godine Svjetski dan debljine obilježava se pod geslo "Svi se trebamo uključiti" jer se pojedinačno neće učiniti mnogo, a debljina je jedan od najvećih medicinskih izazova modernog doba.

Referalni centar za liječenje debljine, koji djeluje pri KBC-u Zagreb, ove je godine pokrenuo akciju u podizanju svijesti o problemu debljine u Zagrebu, Osijeku, Rijeci, Solinu i Sinju. U KBC-u Zagreb u podne će se mjeriti građanima tjelesna masa te davati savjeti i brošure.

U Hrvatskoj čak 65 posto odraslih s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom

Po podacima Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, prema indeksu tjelesne mase (ITM) normalnu tjelesnu masu je 2019. godine imalo 34 posto odraslih u Hrvatskoj, jedan posto je pothranjenih, a čak 65 posto bilo je s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom ili debljinom.

Što je viša dobna skupina, to je veći udio osoba s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom, najniži je u dobi od 18 do 24 godine - 27 posto, dok je među onima od 65 do 74 godine čak 79 posto.

Posebno zabrinjava i činjenica da je jedno od troje djece u dobi od 8 do 9 godina ima prekomjernu tjelesnu težinu za svoju dob što Hrvatsku stavlja među pet najgorih europskih zemalja, ističe Baretić.

Debljinu treba liječiti jer se 44 posto šećerne bolesti tipa 2 može pripisati upravo prekomjernoj težini, kao i 23 posto ishemijske bolesti srca, a između sedam i 41 posto određenih karcinoma nastaju zbog pretilosti.

Svake godine se do sedam posto zdravstvenih proračuna u članicama EU-a troši na bolesti koje se mogu povezati s pretilošću.

Liječenje uključuje promjenu životnih navika - ispravnu prehranu i redovitu fizičku aktivnost. Ako se to ne pokaže učinkovitim moguće je uvođenje farmakoterapije i operativno liječenje debljine, a mnogima je potrebna i psihološka podrška, piše živim.hr.
